  1. I would've liked for the playtester to tell us if the "infection" is survivor-sided or killer-sided. If it's something like Wesker's slow or the blue infection on Nemesis or Plague's sickness I can't really think of anything in TG that would fit (Slendermen's mania or the sickness itself would though). If it's a killer-sided mechanic like the Tentacle powering up as you hit people then it coulld be something like mental stability decline to unlock the crazy kakuja or whatever it was called.

  2. I'm not that really knowledgeable about Tokyo ghoul, I mean I watched the first season, thought it was fine, has a killer opening and shit but like after that it seemingly to me went cold?, is this series that big or something, and I missing something cause after awhile it just went silent to me or I never payed much attention after that fact, can someone update me?

  3. Dying Light one is intresting, because they are releasing new game Dying Light Beast.

We don’t know exact date, but it should be coming in 1-4months.

Dying Light Beast x DbD would be insane promotion for Dying Light beast which already has 1 milj wishlists on steam.

Just a thought I wanted to share.

Also take a look at the trailer for DL beast

  5. Infection doesn't make sense for Kaneki because Ghouls aren't an infection. Hell the only reason Kaneki is a ghoul is because a ghoul's organs were transplanted into Kaneki at the start of the series. If Tokyo Ghoul is true the power leak is fake, if the power leak is true then Tokyo Ghoul is fake for it, unless they are doing Tokyo Ghoul cosmetics.

  6. What if his "disease" mechanic is actually something like a hunger or bloodlust meter? because after hurting a survivor Kaneki would taste or smell their flesh and would slowly begin to lose control over his hunger, becoming more frantic and vicious when chasing him. This would even align with his lore for being a killer in the game even though he is not a villain, as Kaneki is a peaceful person who would feel repulsed at the thought of killing or devouring someone most of the time, but sometimes it ends up being pressured or forced into it to heal or defend himself and once it starts he can no longer control himself, even though he doesn't want to the impulse is too strong to resist, it's like an addiction

  7. something else: Behavior took over Red Hook studios who are behind games like The Darkest Dungeon (2) a while back. so I would not be surprised if there would be a Darkest Dungeon chapter or collection in the future. The 'disease' mechanic reminded me of lore from the darkest dungeon.

  8. I REALLY don't think that we'll ever see any Left 4 Dead killer in this game cuz I'm pretty sure that Valve has a policy on Steam that lets developers use their characters in their games for free if they wish as long as the game is on Steam (ofc negotiations still have to happen but that's besides the point and you can also use the fact that Bill and all of his cosmetics are completely free to confirm this) but the other key factor is that the content HAS to be FREE and I REALLY don't see BHVR making a free chapter at this point of the game's life lol not to mention that Left 4 Dead is completely irrelevant in the larger gamer sphere so it wouldn't even attract that many new players OR be profitable in any way since, again, they cannot monetize any content from Left 4 Dead… of course that's not to say that I wouldn't absolutely love if they had a L4D 2 map and the Witch as the killer tho, that would be so cool but sadly I just have no hope

  9. There is NO WAY a dead by daylight colaboration is being announced at Jump festa. DBD is irrelevant to be announced in such stage. They will more likely talk about a reboot in the anime series, or something like that. Tokyo Ghoul will be discussed in a Pierrot pannel. Pierrot is an anime studio.

  11. I really think tokyo ghoul cause mathieu said it would piss people off and what more having a anime character be a killer. This kinda ruins the horror icon and stuff so yeah maybe idk

  13. I'd say that a disease mechanic wouldn't work for Toyko Ghoul, but a "Hunger Meter" could. I read the entire manga series, and to sum up why a disease mechanic wouldn't work, it's because Kaneki ended up being turned into a One-Eyed Ghoul (i.e. a Half-Ghoul) is because he was attacked by a ghoul he was on the world's worst date and some of her organs got transplanted into him to save his life.

This caused Kaneki to end up with the same power and weakness as other Ghouls within that universe – the biggest one being that ghouls can only feed on three things for their biological needs: coffee, other ghouls, and/or human flesh. This means the hunger for a ghoul can literally make them feral since they can't actually eat "human food". He actually gets to the point partway through the first volume of the manga that he actually legit considers eating his best friend before a ghoul that's already met him earlier in the volume knocks him out.

And that's not even counting later in the series because ghoul-on-ghoul cannibalism, due to being tortured by a different ghoul is literally a plot point, (note: I'm not spoiling it by saying why or which other ghoul is involved, so you'd have to watch the anime or read the manga to know who I'm talking about and how messed up that is!)

So, a Hunger Meter would make perfect sense, but Disease Mechanic wouldn't!

  15. Some info regarding the possible infection mechanic

While an infection mechanic doesn't really make sense with Kaneki's standard abilities, there is an infection of sorts related to him towards the end of the story.

MAJOR SPOILERS for Tokyo Ghoul:re ahead

The final arc involves Kaneki being used to create a massive monstrosity referred to as Dragon, which is made up of gigantic tentacles that sprout throughout Tokyo. Dragon creates humanoid-shaped monsters and spreads spores. When humans come into contact with the spores they develop RC Cell Oversecretion symptoms, which form kagune-like masses on their bodies (Kagune referring to the predatory organs ghouls have, like Kaneki's tentacles), and eventually become ghouls themselves. The treatment for RC Cell Oversecretion is the use of RC Cell suppressants. Kaneki is eventually rescued from within Dragon, but due to the presence of a second core (Rize) it remains active even after he's removed.

Since Dragon is essentially an evolved form of Kaneki's kagune, it might be incorporated into his power (especially since lorewise it would be the best time for Kaneki to be taken by the Entity). One possible way to do it would be having Dragon appendages either spawn on the map or giving the killer the ability to place them down to release spores when Survivors are in range.

It's kind of a weird choice to go that route for his power, so if it is true then I hope they do something unique for the effects (otherwise it would be too similar to Wesker and Nemesis).
