I was going to do this, but with the long queue times and how long it takes to even load the game to begin with, it’s too big of a time waster. Sets are disappointing but it’s not a huge deal, at least for me.
Thanks for this! I’m probably not going to do it because it’s not worth the trouble of restarting the game after each match. I’m just going to hope that there either is an easier method later on, or that the change gets reverted. That’s probably not going to happen though. Thanks anyways!

That's cool for solo players. Very boring steps but at least you're keeping your stuff.
I've only tested this method on PS4, there's no guarantee that this works on other systems, but most likely it'll work no matter what system you play the game on (probably even Switch).
I've also tried to spam L3/R3 after pressing "Continue" on the results screen and sadly it didn't work for me as the character has time to load before it switches to another, which resets the glitch, so restarting the game seems to currently be the only way to make sure your glitched sets are saved.

I figured this out yesterday, Pretty good workaround, Since loadtimes are good for me and i find matches quick for surv it's amazing.
I can't confirm if this is easily doable on PC, however, I know you CAN plug in a controller and use the R3 L3 to swap characters. If someone braver than I can confirm that, that'd be a big help xD
