Hey everyone, today we’re ranking all of the Dead by Daylight’s killers’ base lore or backstories from worst to best. We’re not going to include the Tomes, as most of the characters don’t have them yet. I’ll possibly do a separate video focusing on those who do have tome entries later on. Keep in mind for this lore, I’m not going to be going over the specific details of each piece, because that would take forever. If you haven’t read the lore yourself, I’m going to put up suggestions for if I think you should read it, and also my favourite quote from each of the character’s base lore. To rank the base lore, we’re gonna put them into one of six categories. The first is Pointless, then Dull, Fine, Good, and finally Great. As always this is just my opinion, be sure to drop yours, down below. Let’s get into it.
Chapter 22 has been released on the 5.4.0 PTB. With this chapter we have a new killer, The Artist, a new survivor, Jonah Vasquez, and a new map, Eyrie of Crows, part of the new Forsaken Boneyard realm. It looks great, and I’m very excited!

Personally, I find the Legion's lore has such incredible potential and is what drew me in to DBD. I don't play the game but Legion as a concept really interests me

BRUH.
You put most of the licensed killer's on the lowest possible ranks for having the worst backstories even though they were left intentionally basic at best because they already come from alternative source materials that already explain their lore pretty well, The Game developers at BHVR most likely had to make them vague at best so people could go out to explore the original source games and/or movies on their own without the DBD lore pages spoiling too much (assuming they haven't already explored them).
When the Halloween chapter came out I actually went out of my way to watch the first movie, and kudos for Nightmare on elm street, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hellraiser, I even checked out a playthrough for the Resident Evil 3 remake, Silent Hill 2, and marathoned All of Stranger Things to check out the lore for myself.
I'm sorry the developers didn't copy/paste all of the licensed killer's wikipedia pages on their lore descriptions.
