  1. BHVR couldn't take player advice if they provided surveys for everybody to complete… OH WAIT! That's exactly what they do! And this is the type of response they think is necessary to player feedback? The devs put high viewed streamers on their payroll in hopes of creating and maintaining a certain player base, instead of fixing and balancing the game. Check out Steam Charts DBD… before the yearly event, the player base was at a 5-year low. Currently… -22-30% depending on what source you check. What a joke of a Public Relations/Marketing team whose job is to survey and analyze players.

  2. My 4 cents.

Generally people want to win. If you have 5 people in a match then you usually have one bad bean. And if that bad bean is a killer all will have a bad time.

So for the game to be fun for me (playing both sides), playing killer needs to be harder than playing survivor.

Now I win every killer game easily and never escape a survivor game and that's just not fun for me.

  3. Solo queue update definitely coming in the next mid-chapter
    It has to
If they don't the game WILL die
Also tunneling being prevalent currently feels so unnecessary and I'm noticing mine and my teammates level of 'salt' has gone up significantly due to the frustration when I used to laugh at salty players before
It can't be helped at this point honestly
Also mmr is either bugged right now or there are so few survivor players that it's struggling to work properly

  4. I don’t understand how people complain about tunneling, BT got a massive buff at 15 seconds plus the speed boost, not to mention off the record. If you need 5 seconds ds on top of that you honestly just need to get good.

  5. I've been playing more since the update, and for a longer amount of time before getting frustrated and moving on to something else. I think part of the reason is that solo q matchmaking has been so quick now… now when I have a bad match I don't have to then wait forever to load into a new game, I can move on and forget about it.

I do wonder what the reception has been like based on skill level/mmr. I assume I'm a lower mmr and play with players with less time in game, so before the update I felt like I did see quite a bit of variety in killers and perk loudouts. I myself used different loadouts simply because I didn't have enough blood points dumped into the game to unlock all the perks.

You make a great point about solo q needing help! A way to communicate would be great. I feel like I am using bond and/or kindred in every match now so I'm not wasting precious gen time going to get an unhook someone else is also going for.

  6. I like this update but those killer queue are really long which is a bad thing but i mean when i wait i can watch something or do something when it’s still finding so not that bad. Only thing i don’t like is solo queue ( and killers queue times but i already said it ). For me it was fun but only cause i suck at survivor and know i’m not gonna win easily but people who really thing are good and want to win gonna have a bad time. VHS would be good idea but very long to do and ofcourse buggy and i’m think it would be simplified. Chat wheel or ping is good too and i heard it’s really easy to make. Maybe they didn’t do that already cause console but on them there are 4 not used buttons ( up and down d-pad, R3 or RS and L3 or LS ) so it can’t be it

  7. I play solo queue pretty much 95% of the time as survivor and honestly,Idk how I feel about a ping system. They would have to make it so perks like kindred, bond, alert, etc are still viable. I don't think you should just be able to put a marker on the map.

  8. Honestly most of this is subjective. This is the best update ever as far as answering to the years of outreach from the community. Survivors have always had the upper hand throughout the history of dbd. Before people cry “killer main” I have almost 5k hours with about 3.8k hours on survivor.

  9. I really love your editiong style, great job once again! The AoT edits were chef's kiss On the topic as a casual player myself I'll wait till it's settle a bit to go back to DbD

  10. i think theres a lot of things bhvr could improve gamewise for survivors (for killers too in ceratin aspects), as a 50-50 these few things are unfair imo and need some attention:

    1. having the advantage of seeing the survivors names, item and platform before the end of the match should be fixed, streamers wont be able to play the "stream snipe" card anymore and stream snipers wouldnt be able to stream snipe or target a survivor that play on ceratin platform that is harder to play on.

    2. theres a lot of slugging when it comes to the last 2 survivors in order to prevent hatch from the last survivor, i think bhvr should address this.

    3. hatch again – killers should not be able to stand on the hatch and block it from a survivor forcing them to finish the remaining gens, thats holding the game hostage.

  11. One of the things that surprised me when I started playing DBD is how long 10 seconds truly is in this game. And as a Killer main, I am definitely enjoying this update, and things feel more fair from that perspective. But I also think they've done something to the match making because I am going against a lot of clearly new Survivors. I agree that the next thing they need to prioritize (or maybe should have done even before this patch) is the solo queue Survivor experience, because I have sympathy for how this patch has not helped them at all and has made their overall experience less rewarding. Great video, I always enjoy coming here for balanced and honest discussion on the game.

  12. I agree with everything but no one actually seems to see the so called "reduced grind" is not what it seems. Veterans will benefit from this the most. For newer players it is so much worse. Overall, both sides feels like they are not being rewarded enough bloodpoints for the effort they put in a match and now that prestiging is mandatory to unlock perks, its even more difficult now because bloodpoint gains have been nerfed without WGLF or BBQ.

  13. As someone who plays both (mostly killer a bit) but i watch a lot of dbd streamers, i feel like I have a good perspective…. Most of the people I see complaining are survivors who are so used to winning, IMO. Watching and playing as killer in the old meta got pretty stale/annoying fast when it was the same build/circumstance every game and the killer could do nothing about it. Then the same survivors sit at the gate tea-bagging holding the game hostage because they want the killer to watch them leave. lordy that's annoying. I bet those ppl that did that are the same ones who are dying and crying about this update LOL …

So anyway, yes this update helped killers a lot, but that doesn't mean its the end of the world for survivors! Its just the matter of learning the new meta. I said this before but a lot of people (survivors) correlate "winning" with having fun. I have had so many matches where i got destroyed as killer but I keep playing because….. duh. I am letting myself get better. I /want/ to get better so the wins become more rewarding! If you played as killer before the update you'd know we kinda needed this… the DEVS showed us the statistics and most survivors were escaping. Yall were doing great. We needed to spice this up, lol!

If you're a survivor griping about this I'm sorry but if you just keep playing it'll get better. I am honestly cracking up these days playing as a survivor and dying but its because I am not taking it so hard. I used to rely on my team to support me but now my team is dying with me so I really gotta learn!! For them! I have a lot of discovering to do. We all do. And we all make up this game. So lets work together instead of fighting each other over this haha!

  14. the problem is survivor has been so overpowered for so long, they have become delusional. now they actually have to play the game and not have a win handed to them, so they're getting mad

  15. Honestly, i think this update was kind of needed in some way. The meta was really unhealthy to the point that alot of killers straight up said killer was incredibly stressful. I mean think about it, before this update you had to think of atleast 3 perks and treat every survivor like they had those perks, cause 90% of the time, they did. It was unhealthy. Solo q was always bad, theres no way around it, which is why i never complained about swfs. Honestly this update felt like ripping off the band aid. It hurts in the moment, but after some time i think well adjust and be fine with it

  16. Me and my friends never touched dead hard, so the update didn't change our usual game one bit. 🤷‍♂️ Even if we solo. That 10 seconds don't mean much when you already hit great skillchecks.

The changes I noticed is that killers are downing the random much faster now is where the game feels slower, cause you have to get off of the gens more to go rescue and potentially trade.

But the biggest change I noticed solo queuing is people giving up on first hook cause they didn't get a third health state with dead hard like they used to, is people giving up on the first hook despite having proof the killer is gonna camp or tunnel them. I'd be in the middle of a chase right off a Gen and the smeg head decides that dying or disconnecting is a good idea. 😭

Camping and tunneling is definitely more punishing for solo queues now tho. Because before you had the safety net of dead hard for the third health state on top of the all the anti tunnel or second chance perks, so you can at least keep the killer on one person for quite a while. For swf this isn't a problem because they can have only one or two running anti tunneling now and everyone else can run generator or runner perks, where's as a solo you don't get the benefit of having free perks shared with the random and no communication to take hits or trade for each other.

  17. i play since release and mostly killer over the years, and winning with a killer is absolut easy now. It kills all the fun as a killer player, i dont understand why ppl enjoy this… i win because of my fk OP perks, not by my skill.
now i play mostly survivors and its brutal (solo-que).

I know the solution to this. BHVR dont listen to tryhards… put the game for casuals, without SBMM and a Solo-Que only mode. You havnt any time to heal… you need to do Gens at any time.
