The Resident Evil: Project W chapter has just released for Dead By Daylight. RPD has been reworked and Wesker has released, alongside Rebecca Chambers and Ada Wong. I played the new killer, Wesker, live on Twitch (link above) and found that his bugs, common in Dead By Daylight, took a lot away from the overall enjoyment of his gameplay.

  1. His hitbox is far too slender now. In this video, survivors don't look behind than or try to dodge it much, but when you get survivors who try and dodge, it becomes almost impossible to hit.

  2. I like how all these content creators hyped him up based on how they assume he'd play and not on how he actually plays. They need to up his hitbox for survivor and make his power more responsive for him to be anywhere near A tier.

    That being said: I hope they never fix the mori bug.

  3. Wesker is so damn fun. Makes me forget when I get 3 hooks and 5 gens done honestly. Been using Agitation, Distressing, Starstruck, Awakened Awareness. Exposed pretty much the entire time if timed correctly and it is surprisingly effective. Curious though what if I paired it with Monstrous shrine instead of Awakened? Hook them and then dash twice away to get the 24m distance. Survivors will be exposed and HOPEFULLY afraid to unhook. That timer will just go zoom I feel.

  4. I have had some crazy things happening in general this patch. I will hit survivors when they drop a pallet and somehow they don't get downed when they are injured. I have hit people with virulent bond and it will dmg them instead of grabbing them and doing the whole animation (no endurance btw). And to top it all off I have been mid pickup and somehow a survivor uses for the people and it just stops my pickup XD. Classic post update DBD ig.

To me bugginess and jankyness is different, something is janky when it works but either needs an extra unintended step to be usable/better or works as it should be but everything about it just looks wrong aka someone being phasing into a wall with weskers throw. Bugs to me though are things that shouldnt had happen, like wesker slamming a survivor against the exit showing them as escaped but still picking them up and being able to hook them.

  6. Not really a fan of Wesker as a survivor main. I mean like, how is it fair that he can injure survivors. I just dont get the lapse in judgement at BHVR when making something to actually kill survivors, read the rulebook god damnit.

  7. 0:02 Wesker really just wanted to make it sink into Aces consciousness that he was undefeatable.
    I had a really good animation bug the otherday on my second match on stream where I grabbed an Ada against a generator, it didn't hurt her and then she started floating around in the air like she was laying back on a chair. Her animation only fixed when she pallet vaulted, it was hilarious lol.

  8. To be fair to to behavior and their poor spaghetti code this is very different and not the status Quo when it comes to kill a mechanics in the game.

    At the same time.

    If you need to extend your ptb to make sure things are working correctly, extend your ptb to make sure things are working correctly damn it
