  1. I have a feeling for the Hillbilly the esplanation is even simplen. He was born with a really disfigured face after all, so i doubt he sees that well, and the entity just made him see better, and thats why his eyes are white.

  2. The "Entity touched eyes" has been my favorite theory since years, and it makes complete sense.
Wraith sees Azarov and the mercenaries he met as a child
Hillbilly sees his parents and the police officers that abused him
Nurse sees the asilum's patients that need to be killed out of mercy
Spirit sees her father and the bullies that bullied her
Deathslinger sees Bayshore, the prison warden and the bullies from when he was a kid

Also another reason why Charlotte has partial white eyes could be because the Entity is munipulating her into seeing the real Victor instead of the one created/brought back to life by the Entity itself. You'd think she would realize it isn't the real Victor by the third eye and would not obey the Entity, so she is manipulated to see the real one instead.

  3. The best explanatio for Artist is that her lore is absolutely dogs**t so who cares about it lol. There is absolutely 0 reason for her to be a killer in this game and I think they wasted a lot of lore potential she had and wrote some weird torture porn.

But the theory is kinda fun to think about. What about the black eyes tho?

  4. I have some additions!
1: Maybe Plague isn’t just following the will of her god, but also was told by the Entity that doing so would cure her people from the Plague.

2: perhaps it /does/ affect her, but she’s willing to do anything to save her people.

3: I’m personally not sure if Hillbilly would kill indiscriminately, the Entity could be making him think he’s in danger though, like by making him see the deputies as well as his parents. (Maybe I just like nicer Hillbilly lol)

4: The Artist could be seeing the survivors as the company that was stealing art, and believes that she needs to act or they’ll hurt someone, especially as she blames herself for Matias’s and her friends deaths, and may think that if she doesn’t act, that will happen again.

5: The Artist could also see the survivors as herself, since she blames herself already, this could be the Entity making her feel even more guilty, and she could be taking her anger out on herself, or seeing herself as a monster and trying to rid the world of it. (I know this is a wild theory lol)

Great video! I love Dead by Daylight theories! (And read way too much of the lore lol)

  5. This could also be applied to Susie from the Legion. When you look at her model without the mask, her eyes look kind of jaded over, and we know from the Legion’s lore that she was one of the members who was more resistant to the idea of killing the store clerk, who in her mind was innocent. So she might be being manipulated into thinking that she’s killing the cheerleader who bullied her, who in her mind was deserving of harm as we see from some of her cosmetics, along with any other individuals who bullied/harmed her, and in her mind were deserving of a twisted sense of justice.

  6. Hey about the artist, "the cartel" did not kill her, there was little presence of organized crime based around drugs on chile at the time she lived, by the lore she was killed by the cult of the entity wich by historical context of Chile at the time would be backed up by the dictatorship of Pinochet. Most likely she was killed by the Chilean Army that was working to torture and kill people that were against the goverment, the description of her death matches the actions of the army at the time, also is really close to how a real national artist died, Victor Jara. I know all this because i am chilean btw
I always tought she just kills out of rage, she was groomed by the entity to be its perfect killer since childhood, just rage, nothing to lose nothing to gain, besides she is literally transformed to be part bird, she is not herself anymore, she is just a entity toy

  7. the plague has normal eyes because shes devoted to the entity (because she believes the entity is her god) so the entity probably just told her "hey go kill these guys lol" and the plague was probably like "ok big man whatever you say"

  8. I like to picture that that the ink used in the eyes of the artist blind her to the reality of the situation also blinding her white eyes and the entity makeing her hands ink and toung she may belive she isn't even killing at all just a thought

  9. my theories:

Charlotte is manipulated to not notice the issues with her 'brother' as well as believe that all the survivors are after them, and it'd be better to stand and fight

The Doctor, i'd agree is straight up electricity

Hill Billy, though, yes, absolutely ready and willing to murder (going from his cosmetics) BUT he only did so as a territorial thing, for the most part, going after anyone who got too close to his farm, the manipulation affecting him is essentially to make him believe that no matter the map, he's at his home on the farm

The Plague isn't being manipulated, or at least, not in the same way as the white-eyes, she was lead to believe that if she were to serve The Entity (which she believes to be either one of her gods, or potentially a different, but very evident and POWERFUL god) that if she were to enter it's realm and do it's bidding forever, then her people and religion would be saved and would be able to continue on, essentially sacrificing herself for her followers

The Artist is a bit of a trickier one, most killers with black eyes tend to have been some-what screwed in the head to begin with, one-way or another, either a sociopath/psychopath like Clown, or emotionally stunted, unaware of the rules of society, and emotionally dependent and broken like the Huntress, and i believe the Artist is along the same lines, the guilt of having 'been the cause' of her brother's death her entire life warped her psyche, making her unbalanced emotionally and self-destructive (given her attempt at suicide), the slight color in her eye could be the tiniest bit of a nudge from the entity to turn that self-destructive tendency outwards instead

Wraith is tricked to believe that the survivors are the owners of the wrecker's yard, the few people he'd WANT to kill, driving him to get revenge on the people that made him such a monster

and the Nurse see's the survivors as just more patients and doctors at the asylum, urging her to do what she did best

  10. I like this theory. It works very well for the ones it works well for and the others have simple explanations… A note, maybe the Doctors eyes represent self-inflicted visual manipulation as his lore does say he shares in his victims' insanity to see the same visions. But I really don't see it as a stretch that Hillbilly and Wraith's eyes are just visual representations of their eye-related perks.

  11. Adiris does have white eyes – most obvious in her Purity of Soul and Carmine Wrap body – in all her other skins she only has one eye, the other has been taken by sickness. Her tome reveals there are those where it was her duty to kill them so it makes sense she sees that.

Perhaps a bit tinfoil hat – but I wonder if Huntress, Clown and Artist have black eyes because the influence from the entity isn't what they see – but how they see themselves, secondary theory is that they are killers that 'made' themselves – Anna was based in the lore on a Bodark which is a werewolf that makes itself and I believe the entity manipulated circumstances so each child she kidnapped was lost and encouraged her to try again. Kenneth who became Jeffry and fell into depravity, addiction and delusions of grandeur who always ended up alone. Carmina who could see the crows nobody else could see, who could see more than any person should be able to about the truth and corruption in the world who became like the birds she conversed with and wore outfits with snippets on how she thought the lack of insight was pathetic and grew to view her art as a weapon as she watched her friends perish. Through the fog they have transcended their worldly desires and become truer to a vision of themselves that they have.

  12. It makes sense for Nurse to see survivors as patients in asylum. Her mori kind of shows that. She chokes survivors and then caresses them, just like she did with people she killed at asylum. As if doing this out of mercy and saying "shh, it's ok, it's over now".

  13. I think with hillbilly,
He sees the people who did him wrong and treated like nothing.
Wraith, he sees all Azarov and the survivors are the victims he wants to put out of misery.
Doctor I feel like between the electricity, and the fact he sees them as test subjects.

  14. This theory is very interesting and it would explain why such a small detail is present. As for my own take on it my own little headcanon has always been that Yes these killers were not evil per se at first and were manipulated by the entity into reenacting their revenge but I never thought they would quite literally see the object of their obsession (no pun intended) but instead were kinda stuck with their own choices. I always assumed the white eyes symbolised a deal made with the Entity i.e: the spirit became an Onryō purely because the entity persuaded Rin to join it by promising her revenge and so forging a deal between the two of some sort.
A point to making the original theory true is the Deathslinger lore where it says that he sees all the people who made him wrong in his life.
But personally I don’t think that is LITERAL, or at least not always, I don’t think they see the object of their hate during the trial but are attracted by the entity in some way when they’re taken to enact his bidding by making a contract of some sort between the two. If the Entity really could make the killer see things that aren’t actually there then it would not need to subdue some of the cast by torturing them or things like that and it could just make them see people they hate.
    Or love ???
This takes us to the Twins, there are 2 reasons to why Charlotte could be killing for the entity. 1. Viktor IS alive quite literally and the white eyes are not making her see a weird creature as viktor, but the survivors as the black veil. 2. She wished for Viktor to be back, the entity made the wish come true and in return Charlotte has to kill for it.(after all it seems like Charlotte knows Viktor is somewhat wrong considering she notices he looks more monstrous).
I also thought about the Wraith and he would have no reason to kill innocent people randomly unless he was being controlled in some way obviously by the entity, but at the same time he cannot be seeing his old boss as, his weapon is quite literally the spine he had ripped from the very same boss at the end of his lore so it wouldn’t add up.
Anyways, point being I think the theory has some truth to it but I can’t stop to feel like there’s more to it. It can’t be as simple as them just seeing people they hate but there’s more

  15. I think this is more than "making them see" it's rather "like making them percieve". More than manipuliting their's sight, the Entity is manipulating their's very emotions an will.
For example – Deathslinger rather than seeing everyone as Bayshore is made to perceive everyone as Bayshore's henchmen. Spirit sees everyone as involved in hear dead, or maybe she is triggered somehow to pass the curse (like Sadako's one spread by the tape) by the entity. Billy and Wraith may just treat survivors as their common enemies.
Or, maybe there is more than that.
Playing as the survivors, we can see the red stain. What if the red stain is not the sight of the killer, but the Entity's.
Maybe playing as the killer we re not technically playing the killer, but the entity, who is in control, and – as it is in control – some killers were manipulated to be easier to control, while the others just enjoys doing what entity demands.

  16. I think Victor is actually resurrected. The Twins tome established that Victor in life always tried to look up at Charlotte and hold her hand when he needed comforted, and that's exactly what he does in the lobby animations. You could argue that's the Entity knowing that's what Victor did, but I feel like they deliberately put that detail in the Tome to make the resurrection canon. Plus, it's a more compelling story about Charlotte's undying faithfulness to and unwillingness to be separated from Victor being rewarded. So that's what I like to believe. The Twins kill because the entire world has been awful to them and the Entity's Realm is essentially a paradise to them, a land where they can live without being hunted and never die. Charlotte's extremely grateful to have Victor back, and that gratitude to the Entity plus her general misanthropy to the whole of humanity makes her more than willing to kill. We don't get a lot of information about Victor's character, but I believe he loves his sister and is willing to use his newfound freedom to help her tag team the survivors, plus he's vengeful after suffering at the hands of the Black Vale and the witchhunters that killed his mom.

  17. The problem with the theory in regards to Nurse is that she was also a horrible person in life, having killed an entire hospital ward, faked insanity and then killed the ambulance which picked her up thinking she was a survivor if the massacre…all before the Entity took her. We know she's psychopathic already and would need little assistance to kill further after her mind broke at Crotus Prenn.

More likely, her white eyes are a result of the Entity's empowerment, arguably the greatest out of all the cast as few others can bend time or space. So the white eyes of Spirit, Nurse and perhaps even Twins could indicate they are being given supernatural abilities by the realm's dark master.

  18. I have my own theory about the Legion. In their description (not the one from the tome) the Entity calls only Frank. The other three follow him voluntarily into the mist/search for him.
I think Frank and the others kill the Survivor because they are forced to. (Especially Frank, since the Entity only wanted him).
