WHY WE ARE BORED? | Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight has been around since 2016 and has had many changes in its life. The BIG META shake up wasn’t really a shake up at all, in reality, as time goes on and on, people are getting exponentially better everytime! GAMES ARE GETTING FASTER, from icon changes for solo play, to gen speed perks being stacked, tool boxes that refresh in the locker, every game has a chance of being over before it really gets started.
KICK THE GENS! all your defence is through kicking the gens and reducing the progress, BUT WE DON’T WANT TO DO THAT, if you don’t however, you are bound to lose most or 50/50 games, just how they want it.

More about Dead By Daylight:

A group of up to four survivors must elude one killer. The survivors’ perspectives are third-person, while the killer’s perspective is first-person. The survivors cannot fight against the killer and can only survive by running away and evading them. They must use obstacles in the form of wooden pallets, windows, and items that they either find inside chests or bring before the match starts to run from the killer for as long as they can. In order to escape, survivors must repair 5 generators scattered across the entire map to power the exit gates, then they must open the exit gates and leave the area themselves or find a hatch to jump into.

  1. Overplay can be a factor espicially with how repetitive dbd can be while I still find dbd fun on both sides ill admit I dont play it as often anymore and yeah the current gen kick meta is super boring

  2. This game needs major changes to address something like the Skull Merchant's best play style. Massive internal changes need to be made but I doubt BHVR will do that. Knowing their pattern, they will likely nerf SM into the ground instead of addressing the REASON why intentional 3 Genning is so powerful in this game. Which sucks because I've found some non 3 Gen focused builds with SM that I enjoy.

  3. I've hardly played in the last couple of months, when I'd usually do at least two hours every day, and I have done since the first RE chapter came out.

What's ruining the game for me, is the teammates I'm being matched with. I've always been solo, and I consider myself a pretty good player, but I'm constantly being matched with self-caring, urban-evasioning newbs who hide for hatch instead of going for rescues etc.

I'm used to being matched with sweaty killers, and although I prefer 12-hook masters, I'll try to find enjoyment against the most boring campers and tunnellers, but that becomes impossible when I'm constantly the only seasoned survivor on a team.

  4. I came to the same conclusions.

SM has amazing add-on variety for builds, but ultimately when gens start popping it becomes Gen kick simulator.

After I had multiple 20 minute matches I got bored with her. SM isn't a full stealth killer yet she isn't a chase killer. On open maps or against swf there's no chance of Stealth value and there's no downside to doing gens in the drone area whilst injured.

I feel survivors should be oblivious in a drone area at base to give risk to repairing whilst injured, and having a clawtrap should apply oblivious as well so there's risk to being caught out if survivors choose not to remove a trap and don't know if killer is choosing to track them.

Still wouldn't prevent 3 Gen style but that's same as any killer who wants to play that way. It'd just give her more of an edge against good teams to at least give a bit more play style choice.

  6. I am a killer main but I am trying to do survivor challenges too, and I am having problems as survivor where Skull Merchant is too powerful which I predicted from the start, and as killer because of the free trial on DBD half my matches as killer have hackers in them. Overall terrible time to play right now.
Edit: When I say too powerful I mean the 3 gens. There is only 2 types of builds on her and its Gen kick and Hex perks. A Hex build is the most fun way to play her and the only way to win without gen kick perks.

  7. my favorite build with her so far is the item steal build. Get a lobby of med kit tool boxed up survs and bring franklins. then when they lose that item, drop a drone, and it'll lose charges. build being franklin's, STBFL, pain res, jolt with the disolution add on and the add on that starts people with a tracker. it makes for decent slow down, lethal at the start, disolution at start and if they disarm a drone to get their items back, decent slow down, and you don't need to kick anything if you don't want to. Can other killers do something similar? Sure. But her drones make for a good haha no crutch items for you this game, which is fantastic as an M1 killer.

I can agree she is mostly a gen defense killer, but I enjoy games with her even when I'm not doing that. I love the info she gives, because what other killer gives it to you base kit like she does? But I'm not arguing for her, I understand at this point what people think she is. Personally, I'll keep playing her.

  8. Game from hiding from killer to looping kiler : D initial concept was more fun, 4 player try their best not to be found by killer and when killer found player you get the excitement
