  1. So the glowing portraits are anyone who was p3 before the prestige system was reworked, so effectively discontinued. But anyone p3 became p9 so like… honestly it could be a p10 reward. I use custom portraits so I don't care but yeah.

  2. i would absolutely love if there was an in game achievement list to complete for rewards like calling cards and banners and etc. As you said, we are indeed magpies and i will throw personally throw hands with the entity myself in order to get little prizes of customization

Another topic i think you should talk about for progression is the devotion system, other players don’t even know our devotion so they should give that some sort of purpose or reason to continually play the game for “progression”

  3. They will never, ever take 1 or 2 chapters off to make their players happier, that's what they care the most, money.

I've been playing for 5,000k hours but right now to me the game makes no sense, there are no game modes, rewards, I sometimes still feel that the matches are a ripoff so idk, I really don't think they'll do something in a really long time.

  4. they cant give cosmetics for prestige 100 because if it was a licenced character they would need permission from the licencee..if some some yes and others no it wouldnt be fair

  5. Prestige 1-3, you get the 3 teachables at varying tiers.
    Prestige 4-6 bloody cosmetics.
    Prestige 7-9 charms.
Prestige 10 red background on that character.
    Prestige 25, entity corruption (survivor)torso/(killer)weapon.
    Prestige 50 entity corruption legs/body,
    Prestige 75 entity corruption head.
Prestige 100 lore friendly cosmetic, and maybe a new background on the select screen (with choice for if you want the default, red, or the p100 one).
prestiging a character is a choice again, meaning you can stay at level 50 to get better items.
all Prestige levels that have no cosmetic pieces/teachables. gives a small amount of iridescent shards
    What do you think…

  6. For p100 they should add personal heirlooms for each character depending on their lore. Who gives a fck if it’s an apex thing it fits right into dbd.

It could work like this .
-At P100 you unlock new cosmetic slot called the heirloom slot. When the heirloom is equipped (specific to that survivor) it will show in the hands of the survivor,Much like items. If your carrying an item IN GAME the item has superiority meaning SO LONG as you have an item in trial Your heirloom will not show*. After the item is dropped or depleted the heirloom will show. *the heirloom will only have priority over items in the pre game lobby so you can show it off at least .

what they will do – when equipped in hand that survivor will be able to preform a p100 emote so long as they have the heirloom equipped. Unique for that survivor. Here’s what some of those could be

    survivor heirloom ideas

Quentin : Quentin’s heirloom could be a bottle of NARCOLEPSY pills to keep him awake. His emote, being him opening the bottle and downing a pill😂.

David : We all know David’s a scrapper he’s always in the pub starting something. His could be a bottle of whiskey in his hands. His emote can be him opening the bottle and downing a swig to get him feeling numb for a fight😂

Kate : Kate is known as a renowned as a famous country singer and song writer from a small age. Her heirloom could a small loot or banjo. Her emote could be her tuning it like you would before you play it!

Ace : Ace is known as a lucky guy who’s also cunning and seems to get out of bad situations by himself, almost as if he always had an ace up his sleeve. His Heirloom could be a LITERAL deck of playing cards in his hands. His emote could be him shuffling the deck only to pull out an ace of spades on the first try :).

Can’t go forever cuz this comment would be ages long. But let me know what you think

  7. Here is my idea on the Prestige System:

    1-9 the same
P10: decreases Bloodpoint Prices by 10%

P20: increases the chances of getting Bloody Party Streamers by 25% (of its current not +25%)

P25: get a Full Recolour of a Cosmetic Set

P30: decreases the Chances of Brown Bloodpoint Offerings by 30% (same as with BPS)

P40: get a Unique Lobby Music for that Character

P50: Full Recolour of the Bloody Cosmetic Set.

P60: decreases Bloodpoint Prices by 15%

P70: increases Chances of Ultra Rare Items and Addons in the Bloodweb by 25%.

P75: decreases Chances of Yellow Offerings in the Bloodweb by 10%.

P80: Voice Lines or additional Voice Lines for that Character.

P90: For Killer: Custom Mori / For Survivor: ???

P100: Unique P100 Skin Set Similar too Legacy but still different of course.

  8. From what I remember, aren't they adding player cards soon? (Essentially a stat card like you would see in Apex.) I would love to have the ability to unlock different Prestige rewards of them as you level up. I would also love to have them show at the end of the match screen (or during the match if you press esc to see the pings.) similar to call of duty where you have different overlay images. I have lots of ideas, but i'm trying to keep it as simple as possible as I know this stuff takes a lot of time but having it so its uniform and can be used through everyone means its one and done per role. So the one killer reward unlocks through all killers. I'd also think it would be fun to have the charms dangle from the player icons as a little bit of fun, while you're getting chased, but might be a tad too distracting.

  9. Rewards for higher levels would be great. I just level-9ed the last of all my characters, and now I don't have as much motivation to play. But more importantly, put Legendarys on the character-select screen! To put all that work into models, sounds, and mini portraits, then hide them behind cosmetics of other characters is crazy. Collectors want to scroll through all their characters, and bask in their collection. It also makes it easier to show the game off as a Hall of Fame of Horror, when that character-select screen shows off the extra licensed killers and survivors.

I'll buy every single Lengendary when they do this. Right now, they just feel like clothes.

  10. To improve the preparation system, I believe we should tackle the count progression account level ups only give you iridescent shards, which is OK but we have to improve the system. It should give you more shards or shorts and blood points when it comes to character, levels if you want to keep the tier system of perks then the one through nine system is OK but after nine we have the tackle 10 from 10 to 100 I believe you should get charms and they’re making a calling card system so calling cards but every 10 levels or 15 you get a new skin and then when you reach 100 you know the legacy skins it should be a real color of a legacy skin but instead of the yellow it should be red

  11. Lowkey would love a little parentheses (adept ) next to my killer/survivor name in the match results screen . Like The Pig (adept ) username. Or maybe cosmetic unlocks for having adepts at 1,10,20 and 30 adepts for survivor and killer .

Maybe some sort of reward for tomes beyond BP . A calling card with a tracker would be neat for some . Show how many basement hooks you’ve had , how many caught in trapper traps , how many head pops , how many flashlight saves , hoe many hatch escapes . Stuff like that , do a challenge, unlock it , equip it and it tells you your stats .

  12. MORE OUTFIT/INVENTORY LOADOUTS
we have 3 of each for each character, but the pace of content is horribly unsustainable with this. they should tie unlocking more loadout slots to higher levels of prestige. it wouldn't be overwhelming to new players because it would be locked behind that. it would even give us a reason to buy more of the constant stuff they keep shilling. GIVE US A PLACE TO PUT IT AND A WAY TO USE IT.
    QUALITY OF LIFE.

  13. Right now reaching p100 only rewards one thing and that is all bloodwebs after p100 are the massive lv 50 bloodwebs that always have three iridescent items. Which is cool to have a steady supply of the strongest add-ons survivors have, but the reward is slightly mute by how much you've inevitably gathered by getting to p100 in the first place

  14. You can do a really long video with a skull merchant match as the gameplay
Edit: I just put this idea in a reply of someones comment but I want to say it here too. I do think that throughout progression getting new outfits is a great idea, and I want it so going through the bloodweb past prestige 100 you could unlock a brand new cosmetic. This would be a unique cosmetic slot that would have something cool like a glowing shirt patch that could be put onto any cosmetics and matches the characters traits. Say Dwight could have a shirt patch with the Leader perk icon, or Trapper could have a bear trap patch. Even cooler idea is that it would be glowing any color the user wanted, and could use a color slider to change it.

  15. The glowing perk backgrounds are supposed to be similar to legacy, a reminder that you prestiged this character the hard way before the update. Unfortunately, they really suck since no one else can see them and if you diddnt have everyone prestiged your screen looks more like it has a rash than a reward.

  16. Off topic from a comment you made once. I met a person named dick by daylight and told he sold gay dbd porn. On point I wish p100 gave us a blue legacy burn reskin. Blue since they seem to like blue now in the deep rift.

  17. As it stands, I level up my killers to P3 and survivor to P6. My rationale behind it is rather simple:

Both sides get access to every perk at its highest tier, shares across the board by everyone. For survivors, I like watching them do things in the trials while wearing their bloody cosmetics. Killers have them too, but if I’m playing first person, I don’t get to see them, so why bother.

Beyond that, I find absolutely no reason to advance any of my characters and thus, hoard and hoard and hoard some more until the next characters come out and repeat the process.

  18. Well I'm not sure about the progression system. I personally don't think it's that big of a deal. Of course, having goals to work towards is ALWAYS a good thing that can keep players occupied and help boost retention.

But to answer the question posed at the beginning of the video, "How would you increase player retention?" I think what is just as important, if not moreso, is to eliminate or mitigate those "quit moments" as much as possible. In your previous videos you have talked about negativity bias and this is true. People will cling to negative experiences much more often to positive ones, and it all adds up.

Every little hurdle, every glitch, or every time a player feels cheated by the game is just one more potential breaking point, where the player feels they've had enough and decides they think they'd rather do something else with their time.

It could be the Steam maintenance that seems to happen every Tuesday and prevents access to the game for like 30 minutes. It could be a hacker speed running for the team or holding the game hostage. It could be abnormally long queue times. It could be a sense of the MMR system not working and being paired up against a really unfun match. It could be someone being toxic in the end game chat. It could be going into solo queue and being given completely crap teammates that do nothing and have no idea how to play the game. It could be being adversely affected by a glitch, which may or may not have been in the game for months or longer. It could be lag, or otherwise being robbed by the server's validation. It could be bad RNG. It could be an unpolished GUI or lack of disability settings. It could be auto aim making you attack a corner, rather than the survivor next to you, or standing up to move away from a generator right as a skill check pops up, causing it to explode.

All sorts of little things that might irk a person break the player's immersion, ruining the flow of the game and ultimately stop making it fun. They build up, and eventually, at some point, a person may decide to stop playing. Maybe for a few hours, or the rest of the evening. Or for that week. Maybe they'll start doing other things with their time and forget about dead by daylight. And then you've lost another player.

  19. Great video bud! Needed to be said. I think you could do the progression as-is, with the following benifits: P10 red portrait background, P25 2500 shards, P50 "half way there" recolor of default cosmetics, P75 7500 shards, P100 exclusive ruby charm for that survivor/killer (the charm cpuld just be the big ruby thing they use for the icon)
