After the recent stream snipes on Otzdarva and other DBD CC’s it’s time to find out what’s going on. So in today’s video I talk with a DBD hacker about the current cheating situation. We also discuss some broader topics like MMR changes, BHVR, and IP vulnerabilities.

  2. After taking a lengthy break, I've also been running into cheaters at stupidly common rates again while trying to get back into the game lately. It really killed that hope I had when I first decided to give the game another try. So many blatant hacks are still being reviewed case by case instead of being automatically detected, which is just disgusting. And a number of these cheats that affect other players in the lobby is really just a sign of horribly insecure programming practices 🙁

  3. I actually honestly love your videos usually, but this video is pretty terrible and problematic.
I don't know if this is purposfully and I wanna give you the benefit of the doubt, but this video does nothing but frame cheaters in a better light than they are and basicly just puts all blame on Behavior. Behavior has as much fault in this as the cheaters themselves, yes- But basicly saying "In the end, it's BHVR who needs to do something against it" is absolutely wrong and absolutely awful and will help noone but worsen the situation.
You make it seem way too much like these cheaters are just some small, funny community who play the game "alternatively". These people are bad people and if you wanna take it actual serious, they are criminals. Sugarcoating this topic and humanizing those people is the absolute wrong way to go.
As I said, I don't think you do tat on purpose here as it's more of a informative video obviously, but unfortunately the video goes lots in this direction. "Interviewing" these people and treat them like they are just another part of the overall community of this game or gaming in general is really not good at all nor is it good to give them any (positive or even neutral) spotlight.

  4. I would love to see what kind of cheats are available, it would be nice to see what you can be up against.
Also the sheer incompetence of BHVR when it comes to battling cheating is insane. I've played many online games and DBD has to be one of the worst when it comes to anti cheat methods.

  5. Yeah, you can really feel it lately. Gens are flying by way too quickly without any perks or toolboxes to justify it. Then you play survivor and all of a sudden it's slow mode. Subtle cheats for advantage are way more common than the crazy blatant examples that streamers will show.

  6. the last cheater i encountered was a few weeks ago, it was a hillbilly who played the entire match normal until the end when we finished the last gen.
he insta downed all of us at once, then carried us BEHIND the exit gate letting us out.
that insta down prevented me from getting a double pip, but him flying us through the map and behind the exit gate was kinda fun. no harm done here, he played the entire game legit and in the end just showed off.

i think a cheater can be fun if they just mess around for fun and dont harm anyones gameplay experience. (but i understand when ppl say every cheater no matter what is bad)

    ps: whats up with hillbillys?

  7. Ive probly seen 3 cheaters in my lifetime of the game. Once while i was killer they could teleport to you, blind you from any angle instantly with an infinite flashlight, and when opening an exit gate they cannot be hit or grabbed, and then teleport out the gate the milisecond that its opened. The other survivors didnt seem to care but i was prettymuch just "yea just go.."

  8. should be easy to implement a system that bans for any bar in the game moving faster that the maximum speed possible by the perks they bring. like if someone heals at 150% speed no botany knowledge, ban. if botany is there then any faster than the top speed of 150% ban. or just calculate what perks are in play basically. if a killer or survivor is moving too fast by movement speed ban. if a player is last located in 1 specific area and they end up on the other side of the map within the last check on every 0.25s or something, ban. why is this complicated?

or when any of the rules in place are broken, have a playback sent to the office to inspect before the ban.

  9. The community wants a dead by daylight 2 , but I don't know how that's going to be Accomplish , There's so many problems with the first one , Survivors not having a clue how to play , The game still being fixed , Map designs Are terrible , If behavior can't even get the first game correct? How do you Expect them to make another one?
Behavior don't even know how to make a game , If anything they just got lucky

  10. 2024? First of all they never left, and secondly it already peaked back way before 2024. This is coming from a killer who plays with pure aura perk builds and addons, so I can literally see that almost every third match there will be at least one speedhacker or something else.

Edit: Just to mention to ppl who don't spend much time online… Theres cheaters streaming on twitch and youtube for months and they still don't get banned… BHVR does not care, obviously!

  11. Played against a cheater Claudette and she caused the game to bug, I did not know it was her at first. I thought I was lagging or bugged. I hooked Yui first but her timer is not working but no one is unhooking her for the whole game, same with Feng but they managed to finished all gens. Once the exit gate was opened, they are still on hook, Bill left. I only noticed Claudette was cheating because I chased her and she was immediately on the 2nd floor of midwich spamming the Snowman who jumpscare you and then I downed her and she teleported to the exit gate and left. Feng and Yui are still on hook and alive. Timer ends and We were still on the game, it took at least 15 mins before the game closes. Yui knows Claudette was cheating too so we reported her. They banned her.

  12. You know, I was thinking about redownloading the game since they said they were finally working on a 2v8 mode. I had completely forgotten about the cheating epidemic.

Thanks for reminding me that I can do other things with that time

  13. I've been playing dbd for past 2 weeks, few hours a day and I didn't spot even one cheater (or at least obvious one). In my opinion behavior is doing a really good job in protecting their game from cheaters.
