As a fellow Xenomorph main I almost had a heart attack thinking these “big nerfs”were happening next patch.
I don’t even get why survivors hate Xenomorph. Literally one of the most well balanced killers in the game. ‘Oh but the tail attack is OP wahwahwah’ well then, dodge the tail attack and don’t predrop directly in the Xenomorph’s face. ‘Oh but turrets don’t do anything’ well, actually think about where to put them then! I’m convinced the only reason this stupid Alien hate train exists is because you have to use more than 2 brain cells to play against it.
never should sacrfice qol for balance. making a character janky like this is a death sentence to an already low playrate
Thse changes just sound like the person wanted to murder xenomorph rather then fix the acutal issues with the killer.
'Just hit your attack' is one of the dumbest things ive heard. Should we remove basic attacks from oni while in blood fury? What about with plague in her corrupt purge? You cant just pick and choose siutations to let it work or not.
How..are you supposed to get your power back if you cant freely enter tunnels. Thats like 1/2 of the entire reason they exist.
why nerf xenos best add ons just cuz they are used every game and they are thee best, to make acidic blood insta down and then have moulted skin have extra range, like u nerfed add ons just cuz they are xenos best and popular then add ons that will be popular and thee best, like did they not think this was an issue before doing it cuz im confused

I don’t hate Xenomorph but I think it should be 110% while in crawler mode. That’s really the only change I want.

I've been playing dead by daylight for about 763 hours and I've been enjoying the game a lot but one thing that has been annoying about the game is the fact that this game has no casual game mode and the base game is comp mode. The killer that i main (singularity) has been ruined when i want to play just to chill. But every time i want to play him it is always a team with over 3k hours when i just want to have a chill time. Its getting to the point where i don't even want to play this game anymore.
I’ll be honest, I don’t like going against the Xenomorph because you can only really do anything about its tail attack by going to turrets you personally setup, after the Xenomorph gets its power back, you’re just kinda dead unless you’re in a swf with comms or interrupt someone else’s gen (since that’s where solos usually put them.
I don’t think that’s OP, just not the most fun.
The only changes I would make is making turrets a bit faster to place, normalizing M1 and M2 cooldowns, and creating a short cooldown when tunneling to a station that was just used.
I really don’t like how difficult the tail attack is to loop against considering it’s hard to react to (especially on not low ping), and I don’t like the fact that you can make some decent adjustments horizontally and vertically mid-attack. That being said, I understand that that’s part of the core gameplay with counter play in the turrets, so it wouldn’t be right to change that.

I genuinely (not disrespectfully) wanna know what they were thinking when they thought that Acidic Blood should give Insta-down Tail Attacks. Most people have voiced how much we dislike Instadown Add-ons. Iri wooden plank, Knight's Contract, and more from a design standpoint and gameplay standpoint. As a P100 Artist Main I have to constantly tell Artist Players that Garden of Rot is terribly designed where it doesn't really help unless you are right on their back.
As a xeno main find these kinda extreme and even vs a xeno when I play survivor, xeno is strong I have won and also escaped just depends on skill and luck sometimes
This is the most refund worthy seemingly serious rework I have seen in quite some time. Like holy cow this would make the killer a brain dead unenjoyable easy killer to go against like bottom 3 shite and being a infuriating pathetic joke of a beloved franchise. The killer would pretty much have to sit in a corner of the map because they would be to heavily punished for trying to do anything out of crawler mode and that would just leave the survivors periods of just sitting on gens because the killers in the far corner waiting for its power. This has to be a troll of a rework cause………..i don't understand how someone thinks this is a good idea this below current bhvr standards in terms of rework ideas. Edit: I didn't even make it into the addon part of the video yet before writing this……..HOW DID IT GET WORSE?!?!
some of the qol life changes are nice but others a little wack i honestly think xenomorph biggest problem is the majority of the add-ons are quite boring

Movement speed carrying turrets is so slow and excruciating that if people are willing to carry turrets half way across the map to stack them in strategic points more power to them.
As someone who has played against Bran's 100% trying Xenomorph in a tournament, please don't push to that for every game. It's scary. Fun, but scary
As a persom who recently picked up and decided to main xeno and loves omaying against them, only change id make it make you move faster with the turrets but at the cost if it not longer hiding your foot prints only when you sprint tho
A lot of these changes they want i dont agree with. I dont like going against xeno. Cause i dont like useing items to couter a killer. Think it has no skill. But the only change xeno needs. Is i want the tail to have a wind up. One i can see and hear. Similar to huntress or nemiess. So i know its going to be a tail or a m1. So i can make the choice. Thats the only change they need
I personally would like to see several killers lose the ability to lunge in certain instances or post moments of power usages. The complete removal of an M1 attack seems quite extreme though.

As an aside, I really don't agree with Lettuce's point on it being "thematic". The Xenomorph has been shown in the movies to crawl around vents and slimy holes for the entire franchise, and adding some strange restriction to that isn't very screen accurate.
Of course, some could argue that the emphasize on the tail attack is not as thematic, but it was a motif emphasized both during Lambert's death, as well as in Aliens (as well as the novelization), Alien 3, and most notably the expanded media books and games.
The tail isn't its only method of attack, but it and the inner jaw are iconic to its lethality.
Honestly, I am consistently surprised by how many people seem to either be really bad at the character or heavily dislike them. The tunnels, flame turrets, motion tracking, and sheer lethality of the xenomorph are all in concordance with its depiction in the films, and the blend of the Isolation design and upright m1 movement combined with the sleek crawling design more reminiscent of Aliens and Alien 3 are really well done (even if I wish we got to see the upright movement more often).
Really the only thing that isn't thematic about the xenomorph's depiction is its lack of a dorsal fin (which bothers me immensely).
Instadowns on hitting a survivor with your tail attack with acid blood? Sir, you claim to be making many of these changes for thematics, but how does making the space cat’s ass mounted spear break people’s ankles on contact thematically fit in with corrosive blood that deters people from attacking the monster by punishing them for doing so?
These changes would legitimately ruin the Xenomorph, i don't think she needs a big rework, what Xenomorph does need, is some QOL adjustments like collision, tail attack matches the m1 attacks, part of emergency Helmet base kit, and adjust the motion sensor, and tweak and rework a lot Xenomorph's Add-ons, give some of Xenomorph's Add-ons new effects and adjust some numbers and i think that is it.
The only change I would even consider suggesting is adjust the way xeno holds their tail in crawler mode to have it trail behind them the way it does in the post game run animation unless it’s using the tail attack. This is just excessive.

Why do people hate xeno so much? This is a killer that depends on survivors if he has power or not! Like, I love going against them bcuz I can set a creative set of turrets in places and loops im gonna loop them on, and if pays off it feels so satysfying, it sucks that they are so rare…
i never liked the xeno perma zoneing. either you're m1 or tail attacked especially at loops where a pallet is dropped or not. its always a lose lose for survivor. and the cooldown is so short and since the tail is ranged, its not even a cooldown at all really and you're hit near soon after. the rest of the changes is bad.
i don't like going against xeno so id usually just go next but i wouldn't nerf it that bad.

Purposed xenomorph changes: get good with turret placing. Not putting turrets in front the darn tunnel. Example of good placement is like in a bush to obscure the visibility or out of the way like in a corner of the loop where the killer will have to turn away from you the survivor.
