Well, I’m sure nobody will get mad over THIS one…

Today I wanted to discuss one of my biggest pet peeves about DBD and that’s the constant battle between survivors and killers over WHO is truly entitled. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

  1. i feel like so many of your takes are just wrong. you said killer perks never get nerfed for years while survivor perks do every few months. to me it feels like the other way around. Perks like Dead hard, circle of healing or DS were allowed to be borderline broken for years. and even if you look up survivor meta builds from years ago they can be pretty similar to todays meta with just a few exceptions. Made for This is the only survivor meta perk that comes to my mind that got gutted in months. meanwhile the killer meta perks get changed every few months, the problem is just that it keeps being gen regression at all times.

another thing is also the consistency of toxic behaviour. you see a toxic killer every now and then but you see toxic survivor who T-bag you almost every game you are losing or survivors flaming in end game chat every second game in the end game chat.

One thing is that i keep seeing survivors complaining for not giving free hatch or escapes when only once, in my 3 years i have been playing this game, i have seen a survivor giving me a free kill after a bad match.

i see entitlement on both sides but its way more present on the survivor side at pretty much all times.

  2. I'm just putting this out there. If you admit killers are saying that gens are being done too fast is what causes them to camp and tunnel, then you go on to describe how the best gen regression builds have been nerfed in the past and describe them as 'long overdue'. It paints a sort of 'anti-killer' perspective that I know you aren't going for. I'm not saying you are wrong, granted, I didn't play using those metas so I can't speak to how strong they were or even necessary. My point is that when killers are saying they feel they've been put in a position where they are forced to play a certain way to win, and then you describe events that would perfectly explain why they feel that way. It seems dismissive to simply say they are being entitled. It's like if survivors said they felt like using gen rushing perks were a requirement because they can't survive long enough to get gens done otherwise, and then someone said the nerfing of second chance perks was long overdue.

  3. The only way to truly get good at the game is by getting good at both sides. Used to be a slinger main and I'm a massive pain for every one I go against😂😂. However, I disagree with the empathy thing. My enjoyment is my problem in the game – no one else.

  4. Can definitely say that by far survivors are more entitled than killers. The amount of survivor entitlement and sore winner behavior I’ve come across while playing killer is absolutely insane. Survivors will make just about any excuse as to why they lost to you or why they’re better than you. It doesn’t matter how you play as a killer because some survivors will be negative to you regardless. I have come across some killer entitlement every now and then, but the frequency of that pales in comparison to the amount of entitlement I’ve seen from survivor players. Skull merchants kill rate is the best example showcasing survivor entitlement at its finest. 70% kill rate on skull merchant because the majority of the survivor playerbase refuse to learn how to play against her power, not because she was overpowered.

  5. (Killer main) I see a lot of people saying that survivors are a lot more entitled but we also have to acknowledge the fact that there are 4 times as many people playing survivor so ofc there are overall more "entitled" people. Who knows, maybe if we look at the killers and survivors on thier own, the percentage of toxic people isn't gonna be that different.

  6. So… This guy's a survivor main complaining about killers while pretending to be on the fence. LMAO… Way to waste your chance at the spotlight when the Youtube Algo finally picked you due to your clickbait title.

This video is a whole lotta nothing. What he said has been already said by both sides countless times and he adds nothing to the discussion because he wants to pretend to be "neutral". LMAO… What a waste of time…

It's almost always a mistake when you click a small content creator's clickbait video. Thankfully there's blacklist addons so I don't get baited by trash/useless content again.

  7. i play surv when im at least with a friend, but when im solo i go play 1v1s primarily as killer, because i dont have to stress about gen pressure and focus on my chasing skills. i have seen a lot of things in pubs, and one of my friends said that "if both sides play ideally, by book definitions, survivors will win", and he is so right, its nuts. survivors have perks which completely break the rules of the game, making it genuinely unfair to play against as a killer. an unhook usually involves 2 people: the hooked guy and the unhooker, so there are 2 people left which will likely come to the hook too, in order to take hits. but guess what, with deliverance, you dont need another survivor anymore, therefore all 3 survivors will work on generators, where the deliverance user will have a chase again. but wait! imagine if there was a perk which would make you invincible for 80s after an unhook, that would be nuts right? even better, after you go down and the killer picks you up, you can use a certain perk to escape their grasp, completely flushing the killers time in the toilet! by this time the other survivors made 4 gens, which is game changing. but what if the killer proceeds to catch you again and hook you? well, if he camps the hook, another survivor can reassure the hook, and have time to heal eachother to make a 3 man save. but lets also say theoretically, the killer downs and slugs you, and goes for the other survivors? if there was a certain perk which would grant you the ability to fully pick yourself up from the ground. and the fact that all of this fits into a build slot is insane. Deliverance, OTR, DS and Unbreakable. i can rant an entire hour how unfair survivors are, especially with their recent changes in perks and some killer nerfs.

  8. Typical survivor, sided killer main takes, smh my h.
Yep, the Borgo Battalion ain't beating the killer sided, survivor main accusations with this one.

Also nice, I just got this one in my recommendations. The comments have been gold so far.

  9. Survivors are more vocally toxic. Killers are more toxic in gameplay. Atleast in my experience I get BM'ed every other game simply because I loop a killer for several gens and I do not BM.

I get nodded at, hit on hook, tunnelled, humped, 5 min bled out, womp womped, etc etc and I just play the game. I've had my endgame chat moments but its usually to point out something someone did rather than BM them or call them bad. However, the DbD community is so truamatized they immediately go on the defensive. Hell, I complimented a killer and they started insulting me. Had to tell them it was a compliment and they apologized.

This is my experience. I've seen so many toxic killers its insane, but that's not to say I dont see the t-bagger and come here emote spammers and I say outloud to myself "Dont Bm man…" Or shake my head.

TL;Dr I play the game normally without BM and am good at looping and usually for that I get BM'ed nearly every game by the killer simply because they chase me out of what I assume is Ego.

  10. As a killer Im not complaining about it being hard. I adapt the playstyle. What I think is insane of survivor mains is to complain about the most efficient/best playstyle (tunneling) because its boring toxic and noob gameplay. If you as a killer want to win consistently with the non S tier killers that is what you have to do sadly. And survivors complaining about this when they all run the same shit: mtf, adrenaline, otr, buckle up etc. That is so cringe to be complaining about when their most efficient playstyle forces killers to play in a way that is unfun for survivors

  11. i try ti match the energy if the match. If the survs are goofy, very good chances you all get to leave. I might take a mori though.
If youre toxic i dont care if I lose or not I am going to make the game unfun whether i get you or not.

I run meme builds, i dont want to play super hard and im just tired of mmr putting me with people that play super hard despite how rarely i play like that

  12. I used to be a killer main a couple years ago. But now i play both sides basically the same. I think both sides can be just as toxic and entitled. And i have the opinion that this game has not been one sided for a long time, because both sides had ridiculous stuff. And nowadays the game is pretty okay in terms of balance. Behaviour should mostly focused in adjusting maps and turning weaker killers/addons/perks closer with the strong/meta stuff.

  13. Just about everyone. The only time I've had a productive discussion with DBD players was on r/okaybuddydaylight where the whole point of the subreddit is to act like a moron and goof around. I'm definitely guilty of doing this too, so I'm not trying to act smug when I say people treat this game like it will instantly destroy everyone they love if something doesn't happen the way they want

  15. damn im not watching 10 mins to see the answer, i feel like as a survivor i feel more entitled cause u also have killer teammates and its even more frustrating because the killers are most of the time already tryhard virgins and on the other hand i feel like killers are just crying on twitter and most of the time they are insanely unskilled

  16. Let’s be fair, survivors are always gonna be at a better spot because, from the BHVR pov, it is better to lick 4 people’s ass than one person. There are way more cosmetics on surv side and more bought cosmetics means more money for BHVR. Check the new characters. Buy a chatacter and then a skin to unlock another character, paying double because of that. People are fine with it what means more buffs for survs and more „double” characters, or skins, or whatever because people allow for it, it means more money what makes killers even more suffering. This. Game. Is. Survivor. Sided. Thank you for reading comment and have a pleasant day whoever you are, surv main or killa main

  17. You know what i miss the really tight endgame war were each side have no idea who will win and that no matter the end both had fun because the fight was good. And then everyone saying gg. Honestly good endgame fight are by far in my best memories as killer in this game

  18. Honestly trying to be toxic as killer at times be costing you the game so as survivor I be laughing hard. As for killer last survivor I just hook growl and fly a way. I love the puppy but like I'm dying you down me not as the wolf to turn into him to hump me it's just way to funny. Way more effort than a bag but Danny that's a gen. Letting Alucards go Das my son for Lisa don't mean I won't make him suffer.

  19. I feel like saying killer perk stuff goes not nerfed for ages compared to survivors perk stuff is a bit misleading considering it happens to BOTH sides. Remember how long before made for this got any changes? How long before dead hard got changes? Or even old object of obsession? Point is, both sides have unfun or stupidly stronk things that can go unchanged for ages. Now i will give BHVR credit, despite all the horrible changes they have done and continue to do, they are getting a bit quicker at changing things.

Generally speaking though. Yeah, both sides are entitled in this game. I don't think BHVR favors one over the other however. It's more so they just choose to focus on things in a weird and completely random order that makes no sense sometimes. It doesn't help they have two different sides of the community constantly screaming at them to the point where half the "feedback" is just childish ramblings sometimes.

I feel like if more people actually played both sides instead of just one that it would help with having genuine balance discussion with real and valid feedback so much more often.
