Hey everyone, today we’re looking at 10 laughably bad add-ons from Dead by Daylight’s history. I was hesitant on making this video, because like 80% of add-ons are pretty terrible. However, I do think some most definitely stand out over others, for being just kinda silly in how little benefit they give, or how they’re just counterproductive. I’m not going to look at the obvious meme add-ons like Clown’s confetti bottle, or Trapper’s Padded Jaws. These add-ons are kind of meant to be bad, typically with a bp bonus or a fun effect to compensate for this. I want to look more so at stuff that should be viable, or seems to try and be viable, but just isn’t. Stuff that seems like it has too high a rarity also. Let’s get into it.
Chapter 23 has been announced! It’s Ringu, a licensed chapter releasing in March of 2022. For now we have no further details.

I like most people disagree about the pig perk because it acts like corrupt intervention and stalls the game out for a considerable amount of time because survivors have to remove the reverse bear traps. Sure Pig becomes an normal M1 killer afterwards but at least she can jump people.
Videotape is one of those addons that either works or it doesn't work, no in-between. But I wouldn't call it bad or good.
This reminds me of cod2 zombie s top tier perks, maps, weapons, buildables videos
With the Pig’s videotape, instead of doing what you normally do and guard gens…you guard 1-2 of the Jigsaw boxes depending on the map. Pair this with the addon that doesn’t show the boxes until the trap starts and it could have some value. I’ve used this combo and I’ve always gotten 1-3 kills based on rng. The odds do shift in your favor for every survivor death and if they aren’t focusing gens and getting out then you can get a possible 4k. Swfs do make it more difficult so I would say guard 1 when you feel it’s a SWF.
Pigs video tape needs to be removed. Too many players are abusing it to get kills with no effort by body blocking one of the boxes then its just rng how many kills they can get. Could get all 4, could get none.
Circle shock sucks ass, I say this as a doctor mqinish.
So the doctors tapes are really strong when both are played together due to having a sniping doctor, regular doctor and wide spread shock doctor all in one. Its always hits survivors at close range and stops nearly all looping chances alot better than regular shock doc.
The reason the Terror radius reduction on Deathslinger are pointless at this point is because they did actually have a purpose before his last change. Those addons were to make you more of a stealth ranged killer and did a good job of it, but in the last changes to him Behavior made his terror radius the normal 32 meters when it used to be 24. Were by making those addons not do enough to make him stealthy anymore. They aren't enough to give you that stealth sneaky ranged shot. Basically, whoever was in charge of his most recent change wasn't informed about his original design philosophy.
What's a "zed block"?
Can we talk abt how he said the video tape was bad? That’s just not true it’s a free corrupt and if you pressure boxes right you can easily get at least 1 head pop
I hate how most add-ons in this game have a very small effect. If the effect doesn't change gameplay considerably, it doesn't matter if the add-on is good, it isn't interesting or engaging to use. BHVR thrives off of minor gameplay changes that have an extremely small effect, or ones that totally break the normal rules.
I disagree with the video tape addon, ive gotten games where no gens get done and i get a 4k
The 2 for legion are actually pretty viable together, I’ve gotten so many 4k moris with them
Waterlogged shoe + scarred hands is actually a really great combo. You basically become trapper with traps you don't need to pick up. It works especially well on Badham you can lock up the entire mainbuilding as well as house of pain. You basically steal half the map from them with less step uptime
As a Hag Main I love Waterlogged Shoe It’s a must have with Scarred Hand. Both of which make for a fun and unique form of play.
I always read the irredecent queen and thought it made a ring around you… And then ignored it for Calm and Order

Pyramid head needs addon reworks, maybe like doctors detonation delay addons for the dammed attack or a width addon for it

Azhy not realizing the power of AFK pig because of Video Tape, easy 4k.
Waterlogged Shoe is a combo piece with Scarred Hand, giving you ability to body block things. It's way better than it seems, especially in maps with lot of choke points. It is a thing you have to completely change your play style and build around.
I like the Spasmodic breath, it's my Bamboozle Nurse build xD
I need an honest opinion is something wrong with me since my favorite 2 add on to run on clown are the party bottles paired with the porno tape

What you said in video? I didn't hear because i watched the 5 pentimento gameplay.
Carburetor. Tuning. Guide. Bubba only has one iridescent add-on as far as I'm concerned, because this one is utter trash, no matter what add-ons or perks you pair it with.

As for a pig "bad" addons. Combining them can kill all survivors while pig being almost afk… its riddiculus how powerfull… and boring, this can be.
The concept of the Nurse add-on is actually interesting… but as he said it needs a decrease on the timer and/or a cooldown to it… it's fascinating in a way since many of them wouldn't expect a Nurse to overcome their speed by only walking so reaching them quickly is perfect by that meaning, to the first at least, giving you a huge advantage on the beginning game… when the game comes down over 3 gens they usually get used to it… if not, it can ,even while it hasn't been changed, give you a Merciless Killer win, hence for I won already some from curiosity to the add-on.
I feel like a ultra rare add-on for the pig that deafened any survivor wearing a reverse bear trap would be cool.

I like using Spasmodic Breath, but I am also bad at doing Blink attacks…

I think those two tape addons should not be discounted when combined. I've done that a couple times and both times it's lead to a three or four kill, sometimes before finishing their first generator
Clown's confetti bottle add-on is the only "handicap" add-on that has no real downside to it unlike others, if you take away the fact it has no value in a chase. It's just a fun aesthetic add-on that provides bonus points.
I rarely use add ons as killer
Watching this after the legion rework has really reminded me how fucking bad a lot of their add ONS were before
It is kind of crazy that now with the hemorrhage rework made it fine to use those add-ons. Now, it's making you lkse your progress and make sound if you stop healing forcing you to completely heal or not heal at all really change in the game.
I think the ring shock current for doctor could be viable if it wasn’t hollow
ngl I never used the doctor circle addon but I assumed it was a ring around the doctor himself as some weird way to prevent players from dodging the shock when near you
im a billy endurance spirit furry mothers helpers is usefull when i don t have the double engravs or im tired of them,its a nice addon that can make catching up after a spirit endurance combo MORE HELPFULL and if you have the purple addon that has reduce charge time it makes the addon even better
