I wanna see outtakes/bloopers video of your intro/recordings
This was awesome thank you so much otz!!!
I'm glad that I had common sense to know most of these especially never chasing bright people. I knew off rip they were sweats because why would you wear something that isn't dark unless you WANT to be chased, so I never gave them the satifaction and you can tell they get frustrated because all they do is chase me around. It's when everyone is dead and have wasted all the pallets that I chase them, and they always die so fast after that lol.
"Don't reveal perks early"
At least I don't have to worry about doing that with adrenaline
After mmr otz turned into a survivor main cuze its garbage playing killer
As a DBD mobile player this helps me so much even tho i play the game for a year now
Honestly not very helpful for solo-que – the three enemies you play with won't do any of that stuff anyway and if you like I used to – go down in corners – you just end up dying on first hook with greater certainty.
Thank You, master
"Go die in a corner." – Otzdarva, following this phrase with a blank stare
"hello guys, this is Otz. According to your credit card information"
I never played this game but one thing that I see you saying a lot is that folks forget they can just press W
the killer is faster than a survivor, sure, but some folks tend to overcomplicate things whereas they'd be fine or at least take a lot longer to get downed if they just held W
Ohh god Otz…. what have you done! 9:45
Potato legion used to injure all survivor tho
One I see too often is throwing shack pallet at start of match. Newer players I understand, but I see rank one gamers do this too. Why….
Also survivors begin working on the first gen they find and then moving to the next gen closest to them if the stupidest thing ever. That's setting it up for a 3 gen scenario. You go find one away from the one you just completed. Dont do the one that is 3 seconds away from you after you just finished one. Doing corner gens too, like on the swamp maps. Leave those. Do the middle ones first, or at least attempt to start middle ish gens so you avoid 3 gen. This isnt an issue in a SWF, but I mainly play solo Q, and it happens far too much when doing outter gens at the start or 3 gens close to each other
Mistake #6: Doing Gens, you?
A big difference between being a weak or strong survivor is knowing when to unhook vs a camper and knowing when to just do gens and unfortunately leave the guy on hook till the killer moves
Distortion tip is kinda eh, a good survivor can call out bbq or discordance almost immediately but I can see its use for new players trying to get a feel for reading the killer
Detectives hunch is SO fun to use, I really enjoy hunting totems while my friends do gens
Silly otz I already know the perks my survivors are running. ds, unbreakable, dead hard, iron will.
Healing while noed
Got 1000h of dbd and i still learnt new stuff today.
Thank you.
This is very good advice, thanks.
Thanks for this guide, great video
One issue with the whole Teamwork Perks thing is that as a solo-queue player, I have ZERO clue what my teammates are doing, so prefer perks that naturally benefit me in a great capacity.
Yeah, I can run Prove Thyself, but the other 3 might not do the same generator as me in fear of Discordance.
This literally showed me that I play survivor how my god otz wants me to play.
My favourite faking-stealth play is what I call "the classic jebait", where I get in a locker with head on just as the survivor gets hooked. If the killer has BBQ, they'll think I'm making a mistake and trying to avoid the perk too late, and they pretty much always come to grab me without considering the possibility of head on; I then stun them and start looping. Even if they catch me quicker than I'd like, the knowledge that they had that moment of "haha, gotcha" only to be totally blindsided makes it 100% worth it to me xD
Great video as always Otz
For boons, I find it more inconvenient when people place the boons in areas that are too far from the action areas as much as I find it inconvenient when they place it in the most obvious places (*coughs* that one area in dead dawg saloon *cough*). Central areas that aren’t too obvious are nice esp if you actually run shadow step bc that’s where most of the chases end up when there’s a main building on the map.
A big issue I also see is aggressive healers, sometimes I’m running a build where I try to 99 my healing for dh or resilience but a surv won’t stop following me or get out of my way because on top of an unsafe unhook with no BT they want to heal under said hook… On the topic of 99ing, 99 a gen then before popping it, if not in the terror radius, stop and heal!!
a bit specific but I find my team mates often dont know when they should cleanse against the Plague, I often loose games it seems from team mates feeding Plague her power over and over again with pointless cleansing. Maybe a video on when you should or shouldnt cleanse against Plague would be good!
Going in with 2k hours in the game I didn't think I'd learn anything new, but holy shit was I wrong.
What team coordinated Perk combo would you recommend for the entire Team perk slots? (SWF)
How do you have prestige 3 on everything omg
I bet #1 is “too scared to do gens when killer is somewhat near”
Since this video came out all my survivors jump into lockers when they would go down
PSA: If you 99 a door, stay near it. If not, open it. Going for a rescue? Open it. You kill your teammates by leaving a 99'd door unattended. It takes four minutes, FOUR MINUTES for the EGC to kill everyone if anyone is hooked/downed. That's HALF A MATCH worth of time. That's the same amount of time it takes one person to do three generators. Don't be afraid of the EGC and panic, there's plenty of time to heal, coordinate a save, and even trade a couple hooks. This is one of my biggest gripes because so many survivors think it's some 300IQ, next-level, ultra-strategy to 99 the doors, when it kills just as many people. I can't count the number of times I/a teammate would've escaped if the door was already opened, but got caught pulling the switch.
Survivors that know when to get together and know when to split up are an absolute nightmare
8,000 hours…. Well it's part of his job lol
Omfg the boon one I had 3 mikaelas place 3 circle of healings against a plague oh my lord truly the new megheads
Smart use of team oriented perks is huge! Cope just posted a video yesterday of him against a nurse and during end game he used deliverance and was broken but also had DS and he got downed near the gate. The issue was that both DS and Deliverance has a 60 sec time and the killer knows this and was looking at the icon to see when his broken status went away to pick up because that means DS is also gone but when he picked up DS was still active because a teammate had Vigil and that tricked the killer and Cope used DS and escaped.
i’m glad you touched upon boon totems, that’s something i’ve noticed has become the new “self-caring in a corner” in solo q in terms of wasting time. yesterday i had two teammates who kept activating circle of healing & self-caring against a huntress with iri head (who was hitting all her shots), forcing the match to come to a standstill due to all the time that was being wasted. in the end i was the only one pretty much ever on a gen lmaooo.
1 mistake I noticed in low elo is that some people are afraid to take chase. You would be dead on hook and injured and then they cock block you on a pallet or vault a window instead of letting you vault first. Even if you are bad at looping you can prevent 1 of your teammates from being eliminated so there is a chance at coming back.
