Hey everyone, today I thought it’d be interesting to take a look at survivor items, a somewhat overlooked part of survivor gameplay. I asked you all for your ideas on new items to be added, and you came up with lots of awesome stuff, that I’m going to review today. I tried to pick stuff I could reasonably see getting added to the game. Let’s get into it.

Thank you to everyone who submitted, and particularly those included in the video: Cinnamovs, ChefDemo, Jayden, Afterlight MC, keat, Royal, and Adamovs.

  1. 1st item seems ridiculously OP Im fine with buffs and etc but the exhaustion one would be too op, Imagine that you chase guy that's on death hook he sprint bursts away uses blood rush and drinks vial = 9 seconds sprint burst :/
2nd is kinda wild but I could see it in the game if nerfed little bit
3rd Im not big fan of rebuilding pallets (I main surv and I know how this game is survivor sided)
4th is very cool concept i love idea of extremely rare items that are limited to chests
5th cool idea it can be only fun
6th we have wire tap perk and that's enough of these type of perks imo
7th it's fine as long it downs surv if he is injured already
Love your content AZHYMOVS I watch you for over a year and half <3

  2. Item Idea: Grappling hook.
    Rarity: Rare
    Charges: 20
While this item has charges, you can use the grappling hook to hook onto a wall or ceiling within 10 meters. You are dragged to that location at 6m/s. Each meter moved consumes one charge from this item.

  3. My idea for a perk relating to items is an item that brings the possibility for festive/seasonal items back into the game, but with slim chances of getting it.

Pair with Ace in the hole to get addons like refined serum and flickering bulb.

  4. i think the alchemical vial should have trade-offs, like also giving obliviousness or blindness and other debuffson top of the base buffs, for example the exhaustion addon could injure you or put you into deep wound if injured, which would be useful with deadhard against instadown killers but also punishing if you cant use it well

  5. These are the kind of gameplay concepts that need to be added to liven up the gameplay a little bit and stop the player base from bleeding players. BHVR won't add new game modes but something simple like this could bring players back who are simply bored of the same game after 2k hours

  6. I feel like this would be a really good idea for an update. In the first 2 minutes of the trial add special chests all over the place. They can have standard or more rarely a few new special items like these that can only be looted from these chests. Have it so the killer can destroy the chests as well, and if they destroy a set number before the 2 minutes is up they get access to a 5th perk they chose beforehand. It'd give everyone an optional but enticing objective in the beginning.

  7. There is new killers and perks constantly, but the devs are really missing out on new items. The most exciting thing we got was bligjted addon for medkit and fireworks, and they are limited time

  8. I really like all these item ideas. I know people complain about the game being the same for years and survivors’ only strong defense against killers is looping, but imagine if chests were way more common or items like these were scattered around buildings for survivors to loot. It would slow the game down a bit while they look for defensive items, and killers could see which ones survivors have in hand and try and play around it in chases. Feels like a really fresh way to change up the game

  9. Killer concept add ons are needed because most of these are seriously OP on survivors when they are already in a current OP state. With one of the two main OP survivor perks finally getting nerfed. Looking at you dead hard

  10. I feel a interesting add-on for medkits can be a Tourniquet
A combat Tourniquet found in most trauma kits. Can be used to stop severe bleeding in seconds.
Apply to a injured survivor to stop blood trails and remove the hemorrhage status effect. When used on a downed survivor, their bleed out timer will be paused for 10-15 seconds.
    Very rare add-on – medkit

  11. Perhaps the blueprint could instead be one of a series of toolbox add-ons that allow them to repair pallets for charges.
Mind you it would take some time and the pallets could have a counter-perk that permanently destroys them (maybe added to other perks like spirit fury).

Alongside that, the vial could start with 3 charges but have a bunch of add-ons that reduce charges in exchange for other effects. With the base effect removing all non-hex/exhaustion/broken effects.
    Ideas:
Blessed water: vial now suppresses hex effects for 30s
Adrenaline vial: Gain 7% haste for 15s, remove 1 charge
Ultra rare: Gain 2 charges or increase vial addon effect duration by 15-30s, drinking now gives a 5% hindered debuff for those 15-30s or until injured.

  12. I’ve been talking about the double item thing since i started playing dbd.

The perk could be called “Ambidextrous,” but it would need to have a nerf (you can’t equip add ons, or both items you carry with this perk are lost at the end of the trial, etc.”

  13. Smoke bombs that distort killer vision would be widely despised, especially by whatever overlap there is between people who get headaches from Clown's bottles and people who mostly play killer. Which I know exists, because it's me. I am that overlap. Or at least a part of it. DbD does not need more accessibility issues.
