Atp what I think dbd really needs is genuine new features. Not just new killers and survivors and perks and maps…they need something new to make the game interesting after a patch for more than a couple weeks. edit: Scott, you said this yourself after I typed out my comment lol
"Stronger" doesn't mean anything for face camping tbh, it takes one player out of the game at one down and that sucks. Flaming your teammates doesn't help you win, either, but people still do it because they're toxic.
I feel the singularity might play like dredge in chase (by that I mean locker cutoffs). You could chase an infected survivor into an area with a camera and teleport to them after they vault a window or something
I think the anti camping thing would be alright if it deactivated in end game. Outside of that maybe increase the range from 16m but any past that is really slow build up
Scott is right, DBD needs gameplay changes be it a new mechanic or gamemode. Anything really. DBD outlived its lifespan multiple times at this point, it's kind of an anomaly and while the game is not dying, at any point it could collapse instantaneously.
I swear the only reason face camping comes into question is because of bubba. Idk why they just remove the ability to use his chainsaw within a hook. PROBLEM SOLVED.
They nerfed “reassurance” and then added this terrible face camping mechanic – they should have just made all specials un-usable near hooks. Trapper / Hag / Drones / Unbind already can’t happen at hook… and they evened flashlight mechanics across the board. So even hook power use across the board. SMH
On the topic of a randomizer, I think it would be really fun if they added a separate queue that was all randomized. Maybe even some toggles that would give you bigger boosts, like having the killer you play also be randomized doubling your BP. I love playing different killers with different builds every game or two, and it would be so fun loading into a game knowing that we're all going to be playing with totally unknown loadouts that could drastically affect play styles and how the game goes.
For testing and feedback, I would like to see them either add a new test build or change the PTB, and make it more like an alpha/beta playtest. Maybe make it slightly exclusive or require some sort of registration just to try to keep it a little more serious to get good tests rather than anyone and everyone being able to hop on and play the game totally "wrong" to test one specific upcoming change. But let players that want to help the game be better playtest upcoming content while it's still very unpolished, not to find bugs or tweak some numbers right before launch, but to test more the ideas themselves and see what might need tweaks, what might need total reworks, and what should just be totally scrapped. Perhaps a generic killer model to not spoil too much. Maybe even just test random ideas before there's a character to put them on so they can have good ideas they know will work when it comes time to add new things. Also give the people who participate either BP/shard/fragments earned in their playtests, or give them some "stipend" for participating, so that they don't have to sacrifice progress and unlocks on their account to help test.
So much cool stuff announced during the stream I’m so excited. Ive been having a lot of fun in dbd latey and I’m super hyped for the new alien map and killer! Also hunting Nic cage is going to be wild😵💫
Shout out to Eric Pope! Met him while he worked at Harmonix at PAX West. Most of the Community team that Harmonix had has been great for all the companies they ended up moving to.
I have heard a lot of people wanting the random perk thing as a full mode, and im with them. We want the variety!

How did they even make Red Forest worse? Haven't played the game a whole ton since it got its facelift.😊
Why do you think they know stuff about their own game?

Those two new dbd games coming out in the far future might be the refreshing gameplay Scott needs to enjoy DBD again
My prediction is that Nic Cage will now be THE survivor of choice for memelords who are happy to throw the match for lulz.

Proxy camping is fine. If you have to trade, you trade. That dumb standoff at the hook is what I hate.
