  1. Same thing has been happening to me, too! I have a 2060 which is obviously a good graphics card, but the game still freezes sometimes, especially when I dead hard. It is becoming annoying at this point!

  2. I feel like this has a lot to do with how this game was built in a rather scuffed manor, off blueprint if I remember correctly? New stuff gets added, it fucks with old stuff, optimization becomes difficult. I personally don't experience this often, I'm fortunate enough to have a very nice computer (rtx 2070, 16gb ram, intel i7 9th gen), but performance issues in this game on top of the issues I already experience related to gameplay must make this game an unfortunate nightmare for console / low-end PC gamers.

  3. Yes. I've found this too where I've never felt any FPS problems previously but nowadays even with settings on low, resolution on 65% and an edited config for performance I still have about 100fps right now with everything closed down for less CPU load. (I have a 970x with an Intel i5 6400) but I've been able to play the game without any problems previous years. I also keep my temp files cleared and have my OS optimized settings wise as well as everything on low in NVIDIA.

  4. I usually don't use exhaustion perks, but now I can't use them because every time something new happens in the match (a status effect gets applied, a item icon pops on the screen, a gen gets done) the game frozzes for 0.5 seconds, no matter what side you're playing. This even happens when Wraith uncloaks, so you may even lose the first easy hit on an unaware survivor because the game can't run like he should.

  5. I have a 3060ti, i9-9900k, 32 gb ram and I still freeze with a wired connection along with frame drops. Frame drops on a 30 series card is clearly shit optimization and they seem to have no interest in improving it.

  6. When playing killer, I've had a few dodgy things start to happen on a semi-regular basis over the last few weeks. Getting hits on survivors that don't reduce their health state despite blood on screen and survivor yelling. "Phantom swings" whereby it just goes right through a survivor with no effect at all, sometimes with everything being locked in position for a couple of seconds. It's not affected the match outcome in any instances for me yet, but it will be a pain if it does.

  7. I've personally had this issue for ages now, and my PC is pretty damn decent spec wise. It's only with DBD I have found, and as you say feels tied to certain actions. Dead hards I have found are the prime offender for this, but I also had it the other week playing nurse where the game just froze as two survivors were running out of basement and I was at the top of the stairs, costing me the hit on the hook rescuer.

  8. While I'm sorry that you've had to put up with it too, I am very glad that someone is finally talking about it. For the past few months playing killer has been incredibly frustrating because of this. I find that the biggest source of my issues is Dead Hard. When I'm playing killer, if someone uses Dead Hard, my whole game will freeze and I assume theirs will keep going, because by the time I unfreeze, I have lost so much distance, and in some cases, I will actually be further behind where I initially froze. It is just as unusable on Survivor as well! I have not been able to successfully use Dead Hard (even just for distance) in around 2 or 3 months. As soon as I hit the button, the whole game will freeze, and I will be in the exact same spot I used it in. All of this, coupled with getting smacked through pallets and windows again lately, I'm beginning to really not enjoy killer or survivor.

  9. I had the issue the first year or two when I started playing, it's really annoying. I'd say I'm surprised that they haven't fixed it yet, but it's BHVR so I would be more surprised if they had fixed it.

  10. I’d like to remind everyone who hasn’t played on console before that we had the bloodlust rubber banding for almost 4 years and it comes back occasionally with buggy patches and then gets re-re patched out shorty after. The games definitely getting better it’s just very very very slow. A lot like ark in that regard for a comparison

  11. I'm so glad you're bringing this up, the amount of swings I've missed as killer, the amount of times survivors gain distance they just didn't have so they get to safety, the amount of times I lose distance as survivor from my character randomly turning around after the freeze is honestly just painful
