50% refund option on unwanted items addons and offerings so u level to 50 refund everything and level to 25 refund that get 12 more levels and so on
Well in dbd mobile ever we always get 2x bloodpoint and exp when it's weekend and instead of buying perks using blood points we have to play and level up our character to unlock the perks
I agree 100%. I refuse to prestiage my characters due to that grind, and it's a waste of time and effort. I think wht u said all through the video is very much wht needs to happen i hope.
I feel like the grind for new people is what really hurts them. I feel like we're at the point in the game people with thousands of hours are the ones with thousands of hours
I refuse to prestige its not worth it tbh. I've only done it for like 4 or 5 Characters I actually like
If you prestige a character, they get a +10% chance of skipping a perk tier (30% in P3), or they could reduce the grind even more with a +25% chance of skipping a perk tier (75% in P3)

BHVR is literally the only company that I constantly hear the "It's too much work" excuse from. Yes, it would help a ton, but like several years later it would become a problem again, and it's too much work so we're not doing it. Which other company says that about their own product?

Remove perk tiers. Easy done deal. Them saying "It's only a matter of time until it's a problem again" is the most idiodic thing to say. It would take literally years before it became an issue
They should get rid of the blood web and make a blood shop so that you can buy permanent perks or permanent items for your characters and also non legendary and non premium skins and charms

Alongside the proposed changes I feel like more perks per web and a small but neat bloodweb "auto-complete" would be good options. By bw-auto-complete I meam a feature that allows you to click on a thing inside the blood web and the blood web automatically unlocking the path to it instead of manually having to go from item to item.
I've always said that prestige 3 should unlock T3 perks, I also like the idea of trading add-ons in for higher rarity items (trade 10 browns for a yellow, yellows for green, etc.)
They also have to do something with the pass grind, buying it doesnt even give you a booster. And completing it takes a lot of grind.
Why don’t they use blood points earned to adjust mmr? That easily shows contribution to the game and you are rewarded based off that
I always thought reducing cost each item and Perk when prestige would increase reason to prestige a significant level. Even without changing the rairity of iredscents, you still keep that rng the dev team obviously intended to the game. And items are still rare. Just more chances to get it.
…it would solve lots of problems if they just made items and offerings in a pool that all your characters share. That way players who want to grind are grinding for perks and/or cosmetics. Your pool would remain the same. It's stupid that when we grind, we lose all our items/offerings and have to do it again. Fucking stupid.
i have 18 p3 and ive been playing since 2018
i have a prestiged pig for the achievement, and a prestigued jane 50% for stealth and 50% cause i wasn't sure if there was an achievement for survivor and killer or not.
yeah, i refuse to prestige beyond that. I'm still grinding to unlock every skill, i don't have time for that bullshit, and losing everything for a bloody cosmetic is not worth the grind
There should only be perk tiers for the perks that came from the specific survivor. Once they are obtainable on other survivors they should be at tier 3 straight up.
So far, I have prestiged three killers and one survivor. When I prestiged Plague and Trickster last year (two killers I played A LOT at the time), I found myself playing them much less after I prestiged them, especially since Trickster’s bloodweb wouldn’t give me any ricochet blades, an add on on Trickster I’d been DYING to try. It even made me look to see if the add on had been discontinued or disabled! (I can still use it in custom games, so I can only assume it’s not.) when I prestiged my Spirit, however, I was prepared…sort of. I knew what kind of perks I wanted for her and which perks I didn’t, as well as a good idea of what add-ons I liked for her that suit my playstyle. (I started off playing Spirit, and I can usually get reliable gameplay with her just due to familiarity, though these days, I’m maining Sadako.) I have a build for her that isn’t the most meta, but I like the synergy, so for me, it works. I deeply regretted prestiging my Yui, though, as I had a really nice build on her before, but now, I’m not running any of the perks I like. (I mostly play survivor with friends, so I like running BT to help out my friends, and I was hoping to get COH on my main. I also like Iron Will Bcs I find it easier to concentrate if I can’t hear my survivor whining about being injured.) Yuit’s build basically sucks, which is a shame, because she used to be my main, but I feel like I can’t play her without prestiging her again or letting her eat my BP until I get anything close to what I want.
I would love to have a choose option for items/perks in the web. And the option to delete stuff I don't want from my inventory.
You currently have to play over 20,000 games of dead by daylight (assuming you get 30,000 BP EVERY game which you wont) just to get everything maxed out. Meaning if you spend 5000 hours on the game solely grinding towards Maxxing out everything you still might not have everything.

Ok…that’s cool. I’ll wait till you have a solution and then put money down. 🤷♂️ Not interested in grinding my wallet either. I get it removing the grind can effectively cut their rev steam. But not sure what else there is to do.
I have a few characters prestiged from a LONG time ago. I have a P3 Doc, P3 Mike, P1 Billy, and Legacy P3 Wraith. Hilly is P1 from that weird time I decided "I'm going to P3 everyone!" and that didn't last long. I basically only P3'd the characters I played the most at the time. Took two years off from the game, (Best suggestion ever, M.Cote! Civilization is a fantastic game.) and came back two years behind on the grind, and it is DAUNTING. I don't see myself ever prestiging again because YIKES.
Obviously, I think perk tiers have to go. Their excuse for not doing that is absolutely silly. "We don't want to remove 66% of the grind because as we keep releasing content, eventually it will add up to the current grind!" Yeah, but as you keep releasing content, you're actively making the grind WORSE. Remove perk tiers. Once enough content is out that the future-grind is equal to the current-grind, then it will be that level of grind plus A SHITLOAD OF CONTENT. If you have a way to remove 66% of the grind RIGHT NOW and keep 66% of the grind off future content, just do that.
One idea that would specifically encourage prestiging characters would be if they got to keep their perks. You lose all items/addons/offerings, but you keep the perks. That takes out a TON of grind specifically for prestiging. Granted, as a returning player, that does nothing for the grind I face just trying to play catch-up, and it does nothing for the grind a new player faces, but it definitely takes the sting out for people who are current and just don't want to lose all their progress for a cosmetic dipped in raspberry jam.
Increase BP caps. I mean, actually WHY NOT? When the BP cap was initially put in because people were hacking infinite BP. It didn't stop people from BP hacking, but it at least slowed them down. Now they're saying that this anti-cheat mechanic is actually there to KEEP people grinding? Get rid of it, then. It was put in as an anti-cheat mechanic. If it no longer serves that purpose, it doesn't belong in the game anymore.
no wonder we have so many issues in the game when the devs dont know how basic middle school level statistics works. "The grind increases exponentially each update" no it doesnt. If it did that would mean you release 60 killers per update. It's a linear increase it is the same every time. 1 killer maybe 1 survivor and 3 perks for each. It's been like that since the very beginning. How the fuck does anyone think that that is an exponential increase. Can they just swap to a different studio that knows how math and statistics works so we can stop dealing with this bs
I refuse to prestige. I've done it once for Leatherface and then when I couldn't get my build back in a timely manner I stopped playing him. There is no value in burning your resources via a prestige unless you're really into bloody cosmetics, but with the advent of the store there are just better cosmetics to fill that need imo.
Enjoyed this. I hope they listen and make some good changes. I have 690 hrs in game, and have 1 killer and 1 survivor at P3. I won't do anymore if there is no real reward for it. Def a waste of BP. Thanks so much, and gg.

The grind should have been reduced 2 years ago. The progression system in DBD is already badly designed, not just the gameplay. BBQ and WGLF are not consistent enough or guarantee double bloodpoints. DBD can take new players at least 50+ hours on every single character to unlock the perks they want. VHS' progression system is way better, once it's out in Early Access I will completely leave DBD, I barely endure it already
500 hours and i have 1 character at prestige III…
a couple on prestige 1, but i just get everyone to level 40 and have that 1 character have all the perks. i cbs getting all the perks on every character when they're all essentially the same.
A simple thing they could do is prestige does not get rid of all the perks, items, add-ons, and offerings you’ve earned. Instead just have it so it costs x amount of bloodpoints to prestige 1 through 3 each time you get to level 50, then it wouldn’t be so annoying if you didn’t have to lose everything and start over every time you prestige. I have loads of characters that I didn’t prestige, but have all perks on, it seems stupid to prestige and then lose it all for a cosmetic. They just need to rework the whole bloodweb system tbh, there’s so many cool things they could do, whereas for years a lot of the grind doesn’t even make sense.
What if there was a wishlist type system for the bloodweb? You could select one or two add-ons from each tier that would appear more often, not including iridescents. Then the BW could cater to each users preferred playstyle. Items also shouldn't be included though, i feel like that's too easy to take advantage of.
