Honestly, I think it's just a tome. It makes the most sense. There was bunny's in a lot of things and if it's teasing RE and Stranger Things with it then they could also be teasing the Rise of the Guardians chapter.
What if they're just adding other wildlife to maps? Similar to crows, survivors can likely scare a rabbit and if a killer sees it running they'll know which direction to go
it's obviously a reference to the Doom Guy rabbit, Doom Guy will be on dbd as Survivor and he'll be able to mori the killer.
I haven’t started season 4 of ST yet so I skipped ahead to the RE part. We know when rabbits get infected by the t virus they turn into a licker. It’s unlikely but what if the new RE killer instead of having maybe 2 zombies roaming around maybe a licker is roaming the map. It’s unlikely but would be awesome to see

I think it’s a hint to the tome. Like you said, the artstyle of the picture is practically one-to-one with the cutscenes. I have this feeling it will have to do with one or both the characters in this tome. It’s been leaked by LeaksByDaylight (whose leaks have always been correct) that Jonah and Blight are the two characters in this tome. A fact which seems very peculiar considering how lore driven both characters are (well, Jonah’s backstory on the lore front was disappointing, but still).
