Cheaters Are Making A Comeback In Dead by Daylight

In this video, we’re going to talk about the unfortunate reality of cheaters in Dead by Daylight and how it’s making a comeback. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve encountered a lot of cheaters, and what’s surprising is that the majority of them were actually killers.

What’s even more concerning is that these cheaters were not using the obvious hacks we’ve seen in the past, like flying around the map or shooting hatchets as Ghostface. Instead, they were using more subtle advantages like moving a bit faster than normal and being able to see survivors through walls to give themselves an easy game, even against the most experienced survivors. These were killer players who were trying to hide the fact that they were cheating.

  1. Since release, more than 200,000 accounts have been banned for cheating/hacking (64,000 in 2022 alone) and these are the official numbers!

Since BHVR unfortunately does not see this as a priority and the problem has existed since 2017, nothing will change in the near future. There needs to be a good, usable automatic detection system that also detects the subtle hackers, which are now increasing in number.

  2. 'Subtle' cheaters are the worst because newer / just average players will not be able to tell and feel worse when they get totally 'outsmarted' by cheats.

I've been brining Distortion and you can tell they have wallhacks so easily when you either:

    >Don't lose tokens, but the killer bee-lines to you
    >Lose a token and the killer still knows exactly where you are after performing their 'aura reading' action (like some killers will put on an aura reading perk so it doesn't seem like they are wallhacking)

  3. Just last week i had 2 survivors cheaters in my game, one that just went all-in with the cheats but the killer left the game instantly and one really weird that for some reason the only cheat that they used was faster repair of gens. And yes, checked the perks, they were solo on gen always, no toolbox yet they always just jumped some progress or finish it much faster. At this point you get used to seeing them, their cheat get hotfixed and they come back, bhvr manages to add some fixes against them they are forced to play normal for some months then they can use the cheats again.

  4. If you want to play a legit Speedy Sally build, you can use the Matchbox and Spasmodic Breath add-ons, with PWYF, Nemesis, Enduring, Bamboozle as your perks. Alternatively you can switch out Bamboozle for Spirit Fury. Yes, I saw this in the Demi video :D.

  5. i had similar experiences multiple times. a nurse also on meat plant who blinked right onto people ALWAYS and i meant perfectly…not even 1 cm off just to name one. they didn't use a speedhack…at least i couldn't tell, but there was definitely a wallhack in play. they also got their blink charges back like instantly. i have also realized that most of such cheaters hide their cheats through perks that actually do similar things in the game, but not as effective like probably somebody mentioned play with your food or agitation considering the speed even though they don't use any of these perks in your case. congrats to 50k btw! you deserve them!

  6. I think I faced that Huntress a while back, but I didn't realise that she was walling because I was too tired and just thought I was bad. No Aura reading made it sus in the end, but I know from own experience that some people have insane game sense and are called a cheater without reason. Here it was obvious though with the reload and everything.

  7. The cheaters also start to use less obvious cheats. I had multiple matches where vaulting over windows or dropping a pallet had massive delays, so the killers could always get a hit no matter how often i pressed space or tried to stun the killer. I first blamed it on the spaghetti code, but the matches were overall weird and this happened only in specific situations, so it had to be cheats, because my latency is usually around 30ms.

  8. Yesterday I was playing against a Huntress who was pretty lame and kinda toxic and something weird happened. We were only two left and I got unhooked so I run to the boon with CoH and shadowstep to let other teammate do the last gen we were trying to repair. She was approaching (because I started to hear the lullaby) as I was healing in a corner in Lery's. She knew where I was the whole time because she literally pulled the only possible angle for a hatchet to hit me. Once down she said saying "Nononononono". I knew she had Nurse's calling, so I got outplayed. Problem was…she had super weak perks, not even BBQ, not nurse…. So there ya go, cheater detected because it felt exactly the same as you. She was raising hatchets knowing where the survivors where without having any aura reading perk. Pathetic.

I dare to say that at least 50% of the killers we face have either cheats or disconnect after the second gen pops without having a hook. 3 matches yesterday were like that, 2nd gen popping and then the DC comes. The actual state of the game is complete garbage for the survivor experience…and that comes before the healing and the DH nerf which will make unsafe unhooks be very common and make the whole experience miserable.

  9. the truth is: bhvr doesnt give a damn about cheaters. bhvr does not give a damn about dbd at all as long as they are making money, which is really sad. just take a look at the upcoming changes and how bhvr does not listen to their community at all, lol. in conclusion bhvr does only care about money… suprise 😀

  10. I had 2 huntress games in a row, first guy was walling, same as in the video. Second game looked like it was the same thing, at least until after the match when we could see she had all the aura reading perks and addons + she was the one who sent us to midwich. But in general I have seen a lot of very obvious wallhacking killers the last couple of weeks.

  11. I've seen cheating survivors come back too. Played a game like 2 weeks ago as nemesis and a nea just started running extremely fast and floating/jumping in the air, doing gens in a matter of seconds and forced DCed me when I just AFKed

Also days later started watching my little bro play huntress and the cludette was doing the excat same thing. He got frustrated and just let the survivors win to get out of the match.

It's just Pathetic. Feeling the need to cheat on online games. These Killers and those survivors are just sad.

  12. Idk the huntress could just have really good headphones tbh. I have Meze 109 pros and i can pretty accurately tell where people are running/ injured near me. I can even hear healthy survivors breathing in a closet from 5+ meter distance if there are no other noises and the survivor happens to make a sharp breathing noise.

  13. These are the types of players that DBD is catering towards with their design decisions. With the upcoming heal changes, more people are uninstalling. No interest in fulfilling some chronically-online they/them's power-fantasy.
