  1. Overall, I'm excited for everything that was announced. I feel like this new masquerade is what this game needs right now. As for the anti camping mechanic, it's not gonna do any good. I can already see killers camping hooks daring the survivor to unhook themselves. Other than that, look forward to the future

  2. I 'camp' in specific situations. These are:

If someone's run me for long enough that they need to be second stage hook for the game to progress at a fair rate for me as killer.
If someone's been BM all game.
If my build demands it, which is very rare.

Otherwise, by the rules of this update, "camping" would happen when people are trying to unhook immediately after hooking. This is pretty common place.

Generally, I run Game Afoot, Rancor, No Way Out, and one other perk such as Lightborn. This forces me to play in a way where I won't camp people OR tunnel them. I have to chase each person individually and hook them once to get No Way Out maxed out, and once that's done I can chase whoever I want based on the rules of Game Afoot. If I choose to chase someone for too long, it may make it hard for me to get moris on other people in the endgame, as now I can't switch Rancor targets due to how long I chased that one person. It's a fun build and I recommend trying it on all killers at least once.

  3. The Twisted Masquerade thing would be amazing… if it was a different game mode. As of right now, I'll probably play it a bit, then first time a survivor just uses an Haddonfield to abuse the Myers house second story window, or the killers just refuse to break pallets for the bloodlust instadown, I'll probably dip out and wait until the event is over.
Cool idea, but the game is not in a state where it can be fun for both sides at the same time without causing major frustration

  4. I’m kind of worried about a lot of stuff announced in the PTB anniversary, and I don’t even think it’s a fault of the devs. The Singularity’s three-gen potential, the anti-camp mechanic, the chase stuff added in the masquerade event—all stuff I see being made absolutely miserable by the concerningly high concentration of DBD players who treat their matches like a national emergency. The playerbase of this game really is the definition of “This is why we can’t have nice things.”
