It nice to hear Kat in the background at the start and Trues face still holding a little smile from her encouragement. I agree 100% with DD2 I have beaten the game and working on resentments. The original had a much greater enemy variety. I hope in the future they have an overhaul on enemies. Even just having the enemies change and evolve with each act becoming more gruesome and having different buffs.
I see the 2 games as side grades to each other. If you want the vibe of the dungeon crawler with hard limits on character deaths then the first is the one for you, where as if you want a game you can easily pick up and grind the second is for you. Plus the art direction is very different.

i prefer original darkest dungeon, 2 just felt.. strange….. in comparison.. usually you expect bigger and better for a sequel but it was quite an odd rehash

1980 game called Rogue is the source for the term Roguelike. It exists, you just weren't curious enough to google what it meant.
