  1. I'm gonna be honest the dcs pretty much potential hurts both sides and here's why, when majority of the players disconnect from the game, it's mostly the survivor side that does it from my experience it happens when I played survivor and killer and I equally get about the same amount of dcs evenly on both sides surprisingly and it robs both sides cuz if a person quits then survivors are at a huge disadvantage (before the dc bots btw) and lose a potential decent game the same goes for killer after getting a nice down as a huntress for an example and then the survivor quits and the rest of the team just either gets destroyed or just give up so it kinda robs both sides their fun and just a decent game I think why majority of survivors dc from games is cuz they always care about their fun and no one else's but that's not necessarily true cuz unless your facing the Skull Merchant which in case all survivors should dc but mostly survivors want to whine about not having fun but that's what is gonna happen every time we play dbd

  2. The only other reason I can think of for a Killer to be upset about DC's is that they can feel guilty about survivors leaving and they then overanalyze what they were doing in the match which stresses them out. I dont really agree with that, but it's the only thing I can think of to justify the sentiment

  3. You can't mind game bots for starters they dont get scared or shaken they have wall hacks, so its off putting playing certain killers against them. All in all, it's not the same as human interaction when you are playing a suffering build like coconut plays, so it's not fun to play against something that has no feelings or thoughts

  4. When someone DC's as the Killer, since I've always played both sides, I can emphathise with the fact that the 3 remaining survivors just got screwed out of a match, will likely fail any archive challenges they are attemtping and are almost certainly gonna depip unless they're already Iri 1. It puts me in a tricky spot as I have to weigh up the options of how I respond; do I go easy/easier but still play a relatively normal match (but essentially elongating the match for myself out of a sense of fairness), do I turn friendly & just farm or do I go full on 4AM sweaty P100 Alc Ring Blight mode and just mop everybody up as soon as possible. Each one has its pros and cons; some people do just want the match over and done with asap, others like myself kinda find the sight of the killer sweating in an early game 3v1 post-DC to be kinda pathetic/funny even though there's valid reasons to do so if the killer would rather move onto a "proper" match.

As survivor, if another survivor DC's early on, well yeah, it's typically game ruined and you spend the rest of the match side-eyeing your teammates wondering who's gonna give up next; difficult to commit to much of anything in that environment. Though there are certainly early 3v1 instances I've won, they are definitely a rarity. Hell, maybe the killer takes mercy on you after 2 people DC but the 2 of you left don't want to sit and do 5 gens back to back, but you're "forced" to by a friendly killer who adamantly refuses to hook you.

When a DC happens, everyone on both sides can end up wanting radically different things, which just amplifies frustrations after the event occurs. Meanwhile the person that caused the web of moral dilemmas gets to disappear off into another match relative free from punishment. Frequent DCers should find themselves invisibly in a DCer matchmaking pool where they can share the game with other likeminded players until they learn to change their ways.

  5. It even worst if you soloq 90% of time cuz at that rate you can’t even win the game unless you sweat ya balls off and most of the time if you do you only get hatch at most which is even more discouraging cuz you get no mmr from that game

  6. people are thinking dc penalty on the survivor end but how about the killer side, where the killer gets a bad map like burgo, garden, eyrie, and Haddon field to name a few, I think that's why we still have the dc penalty, so killers won't just dc because of map. but if it goes away it would shine a light to real problematic maps and say to the devs, "hey these maps are so bad that not a lot of people want to play them as killer."

  7. DC don't really harm anyone anymore, I guess the entitled skill issue killers just want to know they can harrass a surv for having pride charms, playing a African american surv, or david for being outed gay. I get this almost every 7 hour sesion I play the game. Then if they have ttv in their name, they target them to harass them too, for being middle eastern or having a disability too. So I guess trash garbage killers wont get to get the reactions they want for targeting survs with a dc.

  8. When a survivor DCs (especially if it's before 1 or 2 gens pop), I tend to go much easier on the rest of the survivors, or just farm and screw around. It's a real bummer for them so I tend to want to just play somewhat normal until they're all on deathhook. When that happens, I tend to practice my power but not hook anyone anymore.
Maybe my experience differs because I'm not great at the game, but it's a relief more than anything if it's only once in awhile, it doesn't really bother me and a lot of the times I get kind words from the survivors who are left because I gave them that little shred of mercy.
