While I see a lot of hate going around for the new skull merchant changes, I personally am having a blast with the new Skully and think she will fit perfectly into my playstyle! Very Fun and amazing time!

  1. I love this SM rework, i just think it needs a few things adjusted like reducing the cooldown on drone deployment, getting rid of the cooldown on recalling drones, and making beam rotation faster.

  2. Hey, i got a good idea of perk build that is called "Over the insanity" here is the list:

    Play as doctor with add-ons that increase you're terror radius
    Perks:
    Ultimate weapon
    Infectious fright
    Distress
    Dead man's switch

After watching this and other videos it looks like she maybe could use a radius increase on the drones to help compensate for them needing line of sight to function, but otherwise they seem to be working like Red intended. Also it feels like putting drones in places that have line of sight to popular drops from a height (e.g. landing spots out of a window in the main building where the survivor takes a moment to recover after landing) works well because it forces the survivor to be in range of the drone that much longer after the landing.

  4. Damn, this made me do a complete 180 on my thoughts on her rework. If anything, this feels like what she was meant to be in the first place: you set up her drones around high traffic areas for info and even damage (remember when people wanted her drones to shoot people? Well here you go!)

    I’m sure tiny adjustments can be made, like you said with not knowing what drones are busted, but other than that maybe this isn’t the be all end all the community thinks it is.

  5. Eh…if Survivors play against Skull Merchant like they used to (as demonstrated in this video) then they'll get pinged by the drones frequently and go down very quickly in chase. But if they disable the drones, the long recall timer alone is going to remove most of her offensive potential, landing her squarely in the same club of awful killers like Trapper and Hag, who can be zoned away from objectives just by Survivors disabling their power.

    The penalty for messing with the drones too often needs to be severe to deter that, but if BHVR is never going to buff Trapper's beartraps in this way, they sure as hell aren't going to buff Skull Merchant.

  6. she needs her CD removed and the lasers sped up at least and if not the CD removal at least visual feedback for downed drones so we can be proactive by recalling them for redeployment. Other than that I do agree she is much more trap oriented now.

  7. They definitely will buff her before she goes live. I have a ton of issues with the state she’s in now.

    1. The drones are INCREDIBLY easy to disable. I’d say even more easier than they were before. You don’t need to worry about being scanned just literally stay still and go an disable the drone. Not to mention messing up the drone skill checks basically has no risk. You can’t go down instantly anymore.
    2. Drones need line of sight now. As to why? I don’t know. I guess to remove the 3 gen thing. But in chase that means the tiles with high walls and line of sight blockers pretty much make her main chase power not even good. They should really make it a radius again and not line of sight. The radius won’t even be able to lock on survivors on gens so I don’t see why this would be an issue
    3. She takes way too much to get her power going compared to other killers. I see no reason why I wouldn’t play knight who is basically what she is copying or even clown if I want killers to do what she does easier and better. They legit put two killers into one and can’t even do what they do better.
    4. Stealth mode drones aren’t really stealth if you can see them… I don’t get the point. The higher tier of survivors are gonna know the radius and when to approach. I seriously think the stealth mode drone and scout need to be buffed. Maybe make scout have a faster rotation and stealth mode needs to be extremely quiet and hard to see. These drones aren’t threatening, they’re a joke. Not to mention it takes a very long time for a survivor to get a claw trap after being scanned.
    5. THE COOLDOWN FOR RECALLING AND PLACING DRONES IS BAD. WHY IS THIS HERE???her 3 genning is gone WHATS the point? And if I’m in a chase and I recall a drone and want to put another in a chase. I CANT. I have to wait an extremely long time before I can put another. It’s so damn dumb. There’s no reason why there should be a cooldown with recalling drones and putting one up. You want her to be a chase killer yet you make her have a cooldown for using her power for chases???

    Overall I have a alotta issues with her. She is objectively weaker. This gameplay shows she’s still USABLE but that doesn’t mean she’s good. She needs a couple of buffs before she gets out the ptb. It’s clear the devs just wanted 3 gen gone and didn’t care what happened to her after they took it away.

  8. Increase rotation speed, reduce cooldown, and SOMEHOW make it easier to fully tag survivors seems fair.
    At least let tag 1 and tag 2 do something, even if just giving you increased time of tracking

This is why he's the Professor while everyone else needs to sit and listen rather than talk without listening to what Red has to say first before you go off.
