The Best Anti-Tunnel Build in Dead by Daylight

tl;dr: Plot Twist, Flip Flop, Power Struggle, Dead Hard
When you are unhooked, run to the nearest pallet and immediately plot twist. If the killer immediately picks up, the person that unhooked you gets the pallet save. If the killer delays a few seconds to chase the unhooker away, you power struggle yourself to safety. If the killer leaves you, you full heal. Its a lose lose for the killer in every situation if they tunnel.

  1. I've been having good luck running Decisive + Dead Hard. That way even if they hit me off hook, I can still Dstrike, and then I can dead hard after, and by the fourth hit at least one gen is getting done. I hope.

  2. I feel like the way to beat this is to just pick up instantly, take the potential pallet save (which knowing my soloq teammates, they'll miss anyways lol), you're forced to stay injured, and they can keep chasing you or just hook if the pallet save was failed.

  3. BHVR needs to extend endurance and limit grunts of pain for hooked survivors. 95% of killers return to hook, they tunnel because they can hear grunts for 8m and it’s a critical path to 4K. It also requires little skill.

  4. I think ds is the strongest anti tunnel perk, by itself or especially combid with dead hard. Many people say ds is bad because they use it brainless. You have to plan ahead so that you actually have enough time to get the ds when youre a good chaser especially when you got the unhook protection hit. And then use it at a place where you know youre gonna get the next window or pallet. And then he chases you again probably for the time he needs to get the hit and then you dead hard. This almost always works out for me and is such an insane time waste that it leads to wins almost every time

  5. If you don't have a teammate, DS can prevent the pick up since Plot Twist doesn't deactivate it. Since you're already under a pallet you can start looping immediately after the stun, which mitigates the only major weakness of DS (that and I can't hit DH but can hit DS).

However if I'm playing with friends, I'd rather have us both be using buckle up + ftp for anti-tunnel instead of flip-flop + power struggle + plot twist + dead hard so there's more free perk slots for things like Reassurance and Deli. Only downside is that ftp doesn't help much against Wesker, who is very common.

  6. i hate the change that happened a while ago that made it so you can't use other endurance perks while in deep wound bc i had my fave build as a tank and it was so fun when u got it to work. thats prob when i stopped playing the game but it's nice to see some other fun builds out there

  7. How it never occurred to BHVR that simply adding penalty time to M2 power recovery vs DS would fix most of the complaints about DS being weak especially against Blights & Nurse can settle this is simply beyond me 🙂.

People are going extra miles to fix BHVR's balancing mess with out of the shelve builds is plain depressing 💯.

  8. Running this build is only going to piss the killer off everything a survivor does to try and “survive” will piss the killer off I don’t want to make them mad since we have far to many second chance OP perks. Don’t you all see killers have no choice but to camp and tunnel in their mind. The killer the only power role in the game can’t win unless they doit and if i counter it then the killer goes to twitter and the perks get nerfed. Then we will be called toxic because well everything the survivor do is toxic.
    Pallet stun- Toxic
    Flashlight save-toxic
    Moonwalk-toxic
    Loop-toxic
    Fix gens quickly-toxic
    Make killer Miss-toxic
    Shake head-toxic
    Get killer attention-toxic
    Counter the killer-toxic
    Take a hit-toxic
Thats why I play with 0 perks so the killer can have fun since it’s 1 of them and 4 of us.

  9. This man actually burnt his face with that heating pad.

Plot twist is a great perk. Problem is, solo queuers have no idea the perk exists.

I cannot count how many times I've used plot twist, only for a teammate to waste time running over to try and pick me up.

I'll go to a corner of the map to heal up, someone will get off a gen from the opposite side of the map, and try to pick me up. It's very frustrating.

Plot twist is very strong, but it just isn't reliable playing solo. Rather take teammates out of the equation and run OTR and DS. When people know what is happening it works, but odds are, they won't even know plot twist is even a thing.

  10. I still like to have DS and windows of OPP. (minimum) Bc even if I get hit off hook. I still have DS and can make it to a pallet safely, If it's dropped I can slow vault it procting DS! same with a locker jump in. Usually I like to have balanced landing or Lithe bc even If I get hit off hook I can still use it to buy more time!!! (unlike DH hit off hook)
Also with the plot twist build being shown…If you're playing solo you have to keep track of what pallets are even still up or located at a loop. If you're toward end game and if all resources have been used it's a gg good luck to you… I honestly love this type of build shown with a SWF just sayin…Both anti tunn. builds have their strenghts! neither will matter if you cant make it to a safe loop (DS in a dead zone = gg/ Plot twist value? Nah get picked up right away) Regardless I will try this build in solo queue!

  11. You can achieve the same thing with DS. If you have a teammate follow up the DS stun with a pallet stun, it's the same 5 seconds as old DS. More if they have to break the pallet. I've lowkey thought survivors should be intentionally going down under pallets more often for a long time, but they rarely do. I think they just don't like the odds of 1. being the target of a tunneling killer while 2. a teammate is nearby and know to help and 3. they time the stun properly without the killer swinging through it.
