  1. I completely agree, I've said everything you've said whenever the subject of a 2v8 comes up including the bit about Knight.

I think this whole thing has been a waste of dev resources and actually may hurt the game by making killers not want to play the normal mode when having a team mate makes the game less stressful, but survivors dont want to play a mode where they can't express their skill in chase, so queue times for both modes become really long.

Not excited for this at all. Plus you can't even play licensed characters in it yet.

  2. I feel that double teaming will be like face camping: it’s really good in certain situations but you’re throwing the game in most situations due to how much time your whole team is taking to ensure one person dies while others can do gens. But I guess we’ll see

  3. Honestly i don't really have care that much able double teaming with killers since both sides can essentially do it. if the double team aspect is the thing that will be problematic then they probably have make some sort of mechanic to prevent the killers from double teaming like make the killer 2 not able to attack or body block the survivor while being chase by killer 1.

  4. I love your videos and i respect your opinion.

But i gotta be blunt here for a bit.

This has to be (IMO) THE DUMBEST TAKE I ever heard. Denying a character's existence by saying X character can't be in this mode eventually or at all for possible issues astounds me.

Here are my reasons as to why i disagree with your statement.

    1. Death slinger weapons can be tweaked if it poses a problem. The devs have openly talked about wanting to further improve the mode if problems did arise. So let's say it was that bad they can eventually fix it.

Plus his base concept would work generally the same even if he can hold you in place you act like if a different killer hitting them on his chair wont either

    1. Break his chain and put him in stun.

    2. That survivor gets 2 tapped IF TIMED RIGHT.

Your logic/example on like saying "nurse can double hit you to down you"

Respectfully speaking… This to me doesn't seem like you considered it much or further developed the idea. In the grand scheme of things.

This mode would make ANY KILLER 2 TAP a survivor.

In TCM it doesn't happen often. Unless you're talking about one killer running to another room at someone else in the other.

Those specific points in the game are not as frequent as you would think. NOW THAT'S IF THEY TRAVEL IN A PACKS. Yes it's more likely to happen. But

Even in TCM that doesn't happen often and if all killers are following each other THEY LOSE SO MUCH PRESSURE THAT WAY. They are stronger add more coordinated if they spread out and patrolling areas.

Idk if you ever played or watched a lot of TCM gameplay but even the best teams or groups rarely get "sandwiched kills" especially how 1v1's work in TCM being in the survivors favor when they build enough resources to bully the killer or to essentially get more chances to play because if you lose the struggle you instantly die as a survivor.

Let's say We bring your idea to life on Death slinger and X partner… Like Nurse.

A nurse would be better spent on going after someone else to split pressure. Remember 2 vs 8 like come on. If they do that start you mentioned YOU STILL HAVE 7 SURVIVORS doing gens or going for saves when you send them to the cage.

They got items and Survivor team roles. Healers or runners vice versa. It doesn't mean it will be as bad as you think.

To me this shows you are too fearful or overly thinking it to a worrying degree. (Respectfully)

Like come on ANY TEAM with an insta down killer will have some situations play out like that. But again so much time wasted on 1 dude instead of both killers hitting other survivors wasting their time with heals or gens chasing them.

    There are levels to this.

  5. I think Deathslinger is100% going to be in the mode in a later update. I don't think the devs will nerf any of the killers kits in any way tbh. I feel like they're just going to copy/paste killers in and add the new cage mechanic. Im sure they will say something like "mix and match and find new fun combos!" without thinking on how bad killer teams might be

  6. I feel like you're just overlooking/unaware of what the survivor benefits will be. Everything youre saying is countered by gens being done twice as fast now. We will see though.

  7. I have the same concerns having played TCM and this was one of the main reasons I stopped playing that game, it isn’t fun to be targeted and sandwiched out of the game, every game. I think I’ll enjoy it for an hour or two and then I’ll be back playing regular DBD. This is a mode designed for the killer side and like you mentioned so was lights out. I think 5v5 would be a mode that I’m looking forward to that is neither killer sided nor survivor sided. I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see how the gameplay will be modified for this mode but I imagine trapper will be used in almost every game and there will be slugging and tunneling every game….of course killer mains have wanted this mode forever. As a survivor main myself I agree with you one hundred percent!

  8. If killers are sandwiching on maps that r specifically made to be bigger then any maps we’ve had before, while 7 other survivors r on gens, idt that’ll be what killer wants to do most of the time

  9. I don't think it's necessarily a knee-jerk reaction. There are legitimate concerns we all have, because we all have certain aspects that make something in the game not fun to deal with. I think in theory, it will be a fun and exciting new game mode. I also think that agreeing with a lot of comments, the novelty of it may wear off quickly. I'm hoping that it's an awesome experience for everyone and that with continued effort from the dev team, after the limited time is over, they take feedback and data and turn it into something truly unique and entertaining

  10. I am a survivor main but will definitely playing killer mostly for this game mode. It will most likely have a pre game chat between killers at the start so I can tell my teammate "If I catch you tunneling, slugging or (proxy) camping right from the start I will effectively sabotage you."

  11. Gotta remember though…its 2v8 not 2v4. 8 survivors is a lot and its going to be a big map. Having 2 killers go after 1 survivor and not spreading pressure is going to be just like the og mode. Death slinger can combo well with other killers but only going after 1 at a time is not going to be efficient enough..fun maybe but certainly not effective.

  12. Quick correction neither side will be able to bring perks, but they haven't said anything about items or add-ons. Killers will instead have teampowers, and survivors will have classes. We don't really know what that means, but we'll see tomorrow

  13. i thought i was alone on my concerns for this mode, since everyone has been so vocaly excited about it. I feel like it will get old and frustrating fast just like most events, i really don't think it will have what's needed for it to be a permanent mode, because of basically all the issues you mentioned. (the extremely limited killer pool, the balance nightmare it will be if they even consider expanding it, etc).

Plus i fully believe it will mostly be a gimmick for survivor party streamers pretty much, a perfect mode for memes and youtube shorts, it will for sure make a lot of noise once it's out. But as i said, i doubt it will prosper as a permanent mode. What they could do is make it a rotating game mode, and change the 5 killer pool each time to keep it easier to balance but also varied.

but i'm pretty sure people will love it for the week that it's there to test. even if eventually it becomes a permanent mode and then it slowly dies out (or gets some insane matchmaking issues due to low player pool)
