I also don't understand the double effect on some survivor perks..
I think the perk was indeed strong but I think almost all killer players had such a knee jerk reaction to the perk bitching and moaning about it and bringing in bullshit numbers to try and make 3% haste sound much bigger then it actually was
I think the perk was not as strong as people made it out to be but ultimately it needed a nerf and I think they nerfed it in a balanced way but I’d prefer if the perk made the haste stronger considering on how you have to go out of you’re way to activate its haste
I guess you could say you weren't "made for this" kind of joke huh~( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Heh, I'll walk myself out~
This is still a good perk when used correctly. Used it all day with healing perks and being broken to abuse the 3% speed boost while baiting killers into long drawn out chases. Still a VERY risky setup for the payoff
Is this entire channel another typical whine safe space for killer mains? 😂
Made for This should stay dead forever, it was completely unhealthy for the game.
Bad players will not make much use of MFT but players who were already good at looping made this perk incredibly OP for them.
Started playing right in that time and as a noob, mft did nothing. Perhaps I got 5 seconds more out of a chase, but I still went down in the blink of an eye.
Cheater perk, simple as.
Even when it was pre patched, still didn't use it because at the end of the day, I still suck at chases even with speed boosts. 😂
I will stick to my medic build.
Mft is still good against legion
Hi!! I've been getting your videos a lot more in my recommended and I really like the way you tackle these topics, the little chronological history of the perk was nice and I think your pacing was great!
One piece of feedback I could give is that I find the text on the thumbnails really hard to read due to the color-mixing used, white and cyan generally don't mesh well so when the thumbnail uses the cyan as its accent (to provide emphasis to a particular word or point for example) it's fairly straining to the eyes due to the white background, and on some thumbnails just basically can't be read.
There's some ways around this depending on how you put forth your brand image though:
– If you want to keep the white background, you can just darken the text.
– If you want to keep the cyan text (I notice it's in basically all of your thumbnails), you could try darkening the background (I feel like a "dark mode" grey could work splendidly with this style).
– If you wanted to keep both, I'd probably try adding a dark stroke/outline to the text to help it contrast better with the background (doesn't have to be black, just has to be dark enough to provide some separation). This would also have the bonus benefit of adding further emphasis as your eyes are more naturally drawn to higher contrasts.
I'm excited to see you grow as a creator, as I find this style of content very interesting. Thank you!
My problem with MFT was how it warped the community. Survivors would actively mock people for complaining about MFT “It’s only three percent bro! Just get good at looping!”. Most good survivors don’t panic when injured and often would opt to stay injured the whole match just to benefit from MS buff (Something I despised as a healer build user). New/ unexperienced players could run MFT and Windows of opportunity and become really good at chase now. Ironically killers typically seen as weak had advantages in this meta. Trapper and Hag were already trap reliant, Ghostface, myers and leather face can insta down, Clown doesn’t care for 3% because he can already get a massive speed differential.
Also the Lost transmission DLC is sort of looked at with disdain. Singularity released as was considered weak with a high skill required, Situational perks that did nothing for the killer meta. Gabe released with admittedly two okay perks and MFT. Now that MFT got nerfed (plus Gabe gets no cosmetics really) a lot of people got really mad at buying the DLC as it (added nothing).
People That Defend Old MFT Commonly Use The Argument That "It's Only 3% Plus Killers Have Bloodlust So Why Is MFT A Problem But Bloodlust Isn't?". MFT Only Seems Fine On A Surface Level Because It's A 3% Speed Boost But In Reality It Creates A 20% Speed Difference Between Killer And Survivor For Basically No Cost Or Set Up Required (33% If It's A 110% Killer).
As For Bloodlust, The Reason It's Fair Is Because Of How The Game's Structure Is Set Up. Killers Are Designed So That They Are Stronger Than The Individual Survivor. When You Have Survivors That Able To Single Handedly Beat Killers In The 1v1 Via Perks Or Strong Tiles, That's Problematic. As A Survivor, You Aren't Supposed To Win The 1v1 Which Is Why Chases Are More About Stalling Rather Actually Winning The Chase. You Have To Go Down Eventually. If You Could Run Forever And Never Get Caught, That's Unfair.
I think mft would have been fine if there was a time limit + if it was telegraphed more clearly. That way survivors couldn't just sit injured all game cause their mft would run out + the killer would have an easier time estimating the distance
2:05 Goes for flashlight save, forgets he's carrying Wesker's spray can. True high MMR play xDDD
Remember when people said MFT was a niche perk and it wouldnt affect the game too much, I remember that.
You could see how strong MFT was with 2v8 considering the escapist class got it as an effect
Knight and his guards where all slower then mft and lost bloodlust when he used his power
I honestly really like the state that Made For This is in. I like how a perk can be very strong, but you need to dedicate a whole build to it. If a perk is really good without sacrificing some perk slots for it, then it’s a problem, otherwise it’s fine. (Except some problematic builds like anti-hooking build etc.)
