A new content release schedule is planned for the next chapter release in Dead by Daylight, but what if that new schedule was implemented across the rest of the year and beyond? I think it would drastically help with the downtime between content releases, but let’s discuss the content release schedule in Dead by Daylight,

  1. I agree- good flow works time and time again. Hopefully they'll stay on that tangent.
Do agree, pretty map reworks or not… it doesn't REAL create as much of a sense of hype as new content ALTHOUGH I am not disregarding that that benefits greatly from updates.
Just get the flow on form and they'll be on the money!

  2. I feel like your argument is self-contradictory since you heavily undersold the arrival of new Survivors, implying they're underwhelming and not anything interesting. At that point you'd still be waiting 3 months for a new Killer which is the real boon for content creators.

  3. i think a killer at the start of the chapter and then the survivor for the mid-chapter, AND the map if there is one, could work really well. Since then you get like 1/2 of the chapter between the release

  4. I’ve seen a lot of people speculate that the new survivor will have boon totem perks (in order for an original character to hold their own weight without a killer), which I’m excited for!
I also agree that releasing killers and survivors separately like this is more exciting, but I also think that BHVR needs to slow their release on new characters, perks, abilities, et cetera and work on improving what is already in DBD.

  5. I know it's important to keep audience attention and that breaking the chapters up like this accomplishes just that…

But I feel like that's nothing compared to the workload. One less new character at a time means less code being put in, meaning any bugs that come in as a result of the incoming content have a higher chance of being fixed. No matter how small the increase is, it's there and that's such a bigger deal in my opinion.

  6. i wish they stop new content and fix everything thats broken. game has been unplayable on console for whole summer. bhvr by far the worst devs in gaming history. i wish they get bankrupt and another competitor kicks their entitled ass

  7. I will have to respectfully disagree with you on this subject. I would quite honestly like for the amount of new characters to be at least halved, and have the downtime be used for fixes, rebalancing and adjustments. The bloat and overlapping of powers and perks is not helped by the constant release of new characters.
Also, the newest rift imo came out way too soon after the previous one, not allowing for a proper wind-down time. Granted, I don't care for any of the items in this rift so I'm fortunate in that regard, but I digress…
