i somehow got adept on my first game, i have no idea how xd. i played really bad and tunneled the first guy because i was playing so poorly but somehow got a 4k and adept.
The reason why they can see through walls is when a survivor does a rush action to a window/pallet with the zone. Also if they miss skillchecks within the zone it'll also triggers the knights

You really think Knight is the worst killer in the game?
this killer is worth to learn, once you know how to use the power he is really fun
I dread attempting the Knight Adept, it looks like it's going to be as unfun as when i did the Onryo Adept.
If the survivor is in the detection range, but not in line of sight the guard will not see them, BUT if they perform a loud notification the guard will go directly thru walls at them.
the guards instantly go to a survivor (even trough a wall) if they perform a fast action (fast vaulting/missing skillcheks/dropping pallets)
Killer Adepts should just be a 3-4k. Forget this "Merciless" nonsense.
Me too, I got the Evil Incarnate acheivment in less tries. He's just so bad , in so many ways. His perks are not terrible but don't fit how you have to play him either.
( BTW guards can go thru floors/walls if survivor performs rushed actions or failed skill check )

By the way, the Map of the Realm add on and the 4 second extra hunt addon are insanely good. 4 meters range makes it way harder for survivors to escape the hunt and the extra 4 seconds are huge in netting hits. Imo they're his strongest addons

Knight is strong, just learn the nuances of his power and soon you'll be landing double hits and loving it
Another tip: Carnifex is best for getting hits because of his hunt timer, jailor is best for area control and Facecamping because of his patrol timer, assassin is the worst imo but use him at loops or to bash gens so you can cycle to carnifex
