  1. I was hoping that Ethan Winters would be the survivor even though he barely has anything to do with Wesker, but it would be better to make a third RE chapter with him instead, but then theres also the problem that he doesn't have a face

  2. I'm really happy we have an actual sass talking killer. Trickster's mocking is hilarious, but Wesker bumps this concept up to 11! I love his "poor performance indeed" line best, especially after downing a survivor after they cockily messed up a loop. He's an actual character!

And the locker grab animation is unparalleled. I'm confident nothing will top it, ever.

  3. Considering the fact that hardly anyone even speed runs RE5 and RE6, that alone tells me that they're not great games, but then again, I'm a huge fan of Zero and Code Veronica, and would love to see either just get a remastering, since they're solid games, they just need the graphics brought up to date 🙂

  4. Maybe because I haven't played any of the RE games, I do like his voice lines! Some makes sense in their spot, like when he knocks someone down or hits them, he says something like "A poor performance indeed," or "Is that all you have?"

  5. I didn't played it cause i play on console but he looks fun and strong so that's something we didn't heared jn a long time. I hope they don't nerf him just fix bugs and maybe make his hitbox smaller cause they are so big many people just bump into an air like chainsaw killers. Hope the next chapter gonna be good too ( and that the knight killer is Sauron )

  6. Wesker's design is overall great and the reveal was super hype. BUT he is op as hell. When you look at other strong mobile killers in the meta, they have large drawbacks that balance their chase potential. Wesker has no real weakness outside of a mild slowdown after his ability is used, which his brief ability cooldown makes up for anyway. His virus slows the game down passively, his mobility across the map is strong, his chase is strong, he navigates obstacles well, and he has a small chance to damage two survivors at once, or instantly pick one up. Oh, and he is easy to play. I know he will probably get nerfed, but these benefits are inherent in his gameplay, which will make any nerf feel un-impactful or like a rework.

  7. This reminds me of SugarPunch Studios' video on Wesker and how he got hit with the flanderization beam. They agree that RE5 Wesker is the worse version of the character narratively, as it took the main conflict of RE from Survial of the group vs Self preservation into teamwork vs Selfishness, but admit that it is the most fun version because of how cheesy and campy he acts.

  8. Seems like you're using a noise canceller or high pass filter on your mic, and it's causing my head some pain, even if I turn the volume down. You don't have to change it just for me though, I've just always had trouble watching your videos because of it.

  9. Wesker is one of my favorite villains of all time. Yeah he's super goofy and over the top in RE5 but that's what I love about him. At one point during the final battle Chris even says "Do you get all your ideas from comic book villains?"

Also I think his progression from RE4 to RE5 did need a little better explaining, but I think I can piece together what happened. Up until he met Spencer in the mansion, Wesker didn't know he was part of a eugenics project. He was the top dog and always four steps ahead of everybody else. Until he suddenly discovers via Spencer that his entire existence was because someone made him. He wasn't unique, he was someone else's experiment in some twisted lab project. And I think that revelation caused him to snap and turn into what we see in RE5. Is it the perfect explanation? No, but it's what I use to try and rationalize his character.

  10. Wesker stood out so much to me in RESI 5 because he’s the only goofball in the game that managed to make me laugh. Everyone else was a plank of wood. I wasn’t super familiar with Weskers backstory and now knowing it, it feels like a lot of build up for a very anti climatic finish in RESI 5. Could’ve been something much cooler but I still love him.

  11. Be glad that Wesker never succeeded with his plan otherwise the world would be ruled by oversized cockroaches as they are the only ones who seem to be compatible with the virus. Now that's a truly frightening concept.
