  1. Iโ€™m honestly not sure about Disney giving us Alien on dbd, because yes they have given alien to fortnite and other stuff but the big difference is because it is Disney they have it to fortnite because fortnite is a kids game and more well known, while dead by daylight is less known and hereโ€™s the thing, a horror game, Disney doesnโ€™t like to put scary stuff because their deal is to sell to mostly kids and parents, and they wouldnโ€™t give alien to a horror game because itโ€™s not their ideal way to make money, because they donโ€™t like horror, which is why Doctor strange 2 was not successful and why there was troubled production in that movie

  2. How about the ability to jump into windows or up onto drop point's? Sorta wanted this with Wesker but would fit alien just as well. Before people shout busted remember Nurse is a thing

  3. Very interesting ideas going there!

A bit ambivalent on the Facehugger aspect of the power; I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it, but it's a credible integration of the concept as a mechanic (and I sure as hell can't think of anything better xD).

I was a bit disappointed on the stealth, though; I wish more could have been done with that. The faster vaults and pallet vaults I did actually really like; interesting means of circumnavigation. I think 4.0 m/s base is too slow (tbh, as long as it can't attack in stealth mode, I don't see the need to slow down at all, but that's a bit of a hot take given past designs by BHVR). I'd reasonably expect something more in the 4.2 range at least; since stealth is the Xenomorph's main means of getting close, nerfing the speed quite that hard when using it seems counterproductive.

I also wonder if there might be a way to integrate lurking in the vents? Maybe spawning vents on a map that the Xenomorph can lurk inside and teleport between a bit like the Dredge does with lockers? Or would that be turning this too much into Amogus? Not sure.

What I'd really love to see would be some kind of wall climbing or somesuch, but we all know that ain't feasible xD

  4. Hey pixel you probably wonโ€™t see this but I wanted to ask if you could do a guide on the knight you made a really good twins guide that really helped me get better with them and something like that would undoubtedly be a huge help to help me get better

  5. I feel like you did Amanda Ripley dirty with the survivor choice. While she is less popular, she is probably recognized by the majority of Alien fans and she is also well-liked in that respect too. While I do agree that Ellen is the #1 choice for an Alien survivor, Amanda is also not a bad choice to pick for a survivor and could actually be a good scapegoat for the survivor if Ellen is off-limits.

  6. Ellen Ripley in DbD would be appreciated just out of love for Sigourney Weaver. Copycat is one of my favorite movies, and like. Yeah. That woman is fantastic.

  7. Before watching the video, whatever it's said, what I say it's:
Disney. Alien belongs to Fox, Fox to Disney, and this one is hard as fuck to negotiate with.

Edit (after watching the video): uh, so…do you think that Disney makes it actually easier? I don't know, man…

Also, the power is quite cool.

  8. Iโ€™d be happy with any sci fi representation in dbd. Xenomorphs, Necromorphs, Predators, The Terminator, the Animatronics of FNAF, even the Thing, theyโ€™re all good choices for the Sci Fi Horror genre. You can argue that Stranger Things is sci-fi horror even. Iโ€™ll even take Ridley from Metroid at this point.

  9. Vehemently disagree on many points, but agree on others… The Nostromo and Hadley's Hope would be the best maps…you could have the Alien3 prison but to be honest I dont know anyone of my nerd circle who liked any Alien movie after Aliens…with the possible exception of AVP…not AVPR. Covenant and Prometheus were dumpster fires and destroyed the Alien mythos…imo…but I digress…
The Nostromo would have 3 levels of a ship including the landing strut rooms, engineering, bridge, mother, medical, galley, and maintenance areas connected by stretches of halls… You could include the self destruct seq as end game countdown… using the Narcissus as one of the escape routes but most do not know that they had 2 shuttles on the Nostromo one slung under each engine nacelle but only one was functional the sister boat the Salmacis was under repair and needed drydock but for the proposes of the Nostromo map… it works as a gate… The stair mechanic is easy as you only need to climb up and you can drop down giving people with perks that activate when falling an opportunity to do so… also you have the vent system to move thru and the option to include an iris closing option to slow the killer. Pallets are simply doors that slam shut or retextured to look like equipment. The Nostromo would be intense and fans of both DBD and Alien would be ecstatic to play on a comprehensive and well lit replica of the iconic ship! (I would include areas where steam jets obfuscate the sight of survivors) I disagree with the Alien's speed as in the book from 79 the creature was very fast and could negotiate the corridors easily… in a scene cut from the movie it escapes an airlock door with great speed despite losing an arm. I do agree in keeping with the tone of the film he should have more stealth capability to scare the crap out of survivors…but the biggest change would be to give the Xenomorph the ability to crawl over terrain… yep over obstacles, houses, cars, and along the ceilings of buildings like in the AVP games… Alternatively, have 3 versions of the Alien… The Big Chap from Alien, The Warrior from Aliens, and the Dog/Ox Alien from Alien 3. Each with separate perks and some similarities. Big Chap is stealthy, Warrior is brutal, and A3 is fast…each has complementary perks…all have ACID BLOOD: anytime a survivor stuns a Xeno with a pallet or Decisive Strike they gain the hindered status. A first for DBD would be to give the Xenomorphs (plural) 6 perk options since they adapt genetic traits of their hosts. 1. would be acid spit with a cool down–addons could make it nast-ier… The acid either fatigues the target or slows them causing mangled or something to that effect. 2. Tail swipe inflicts Deep Wounds. 3. resin webbing that can glue down pallets, lockers, chests, totems, windows, and generators ( the later being timed not permanent …the the higher the level of the perk the more times it can be used like up to 3 at a time and add-ons could augment this number and the length of time on a gen…. alternatively the resin can slow survivors down but this gets into the realm of chains from the cenobite… so securing pallets where people cannot use them until another pallet is glued is interesting to flesh out. 4. detection… the ability to see thru walls at close range like 12 to 18 meters perhaps… 5. a stealth ability where he can crawl and wall crawl removing the red stain… (by the way the heart beat is instead replaced by the sound of the motion trackers from Aliens!) This sound is nullified while crawling or wall walking. 6. a wider field of vision more than other killers since the xenomorph is supposed to be a psionic stalker (even tho the books say it can see too and they have an incredible sense of smell). The Alien as a killer could benefit from other killer perks like Insidious or a similar one while you crawl. The hooks are replaced by a nest construct where a survivor is adhered not so much hooked… the optics are different but the function is the same… and they can be sabotaged too. While the person is on the nest an egg forms. The egg will open as they approach the second stage "on the hook"…and a face hugger attaches to them… (they make skill checks the same way and if they get off the hook the face hugger is removed…dead on hook survivors suffer a chestbuster effect and die rather than being pulled into oblivion by the entity… DBD has been stating they wanted other ways for survivors to reach the end game… Alien would be a prime opportunity as on the Nostromo they are trying to stop the reactor from blowing or they are trying to get supplies for the shuttle… not sure entirely how that would work mechanically but more brains on this the better…(I dont play dbd that often but I enjoy it when I do) The escape hatch on a space ship could appear on any floor as its basically an escape pod or chute that gets you to the shuttle or planet below… Another idea, sorta in line with the Knight killer…is to have Ash running interference on maps…for the Xenomorph. He can be temporarily disabled and returns to menace the survivors after a cooldown…An Add-on/perk would be Special Order 937 which would make Ash more robust or reduce his cooldown. As for survivors I would have a few but I agree that Ripley is 110% a must… What perks would she have? Off the top of my head… She would be undetectable while working on a generator or chest… she would have some ability to augment other survivors as she is a warrant officer and 3rd in command… Similar to Dwight's perk… maybe she can remove negative effects on survivors within proximity, A perk that removes exhausted from survivors after x# of seconds within 6 meters or something… A motion tracker add-on that allows you see the killer for x # of seconds… (its difficult not to intersect existing perks by the way)… It would be interesting to have Ripley give other survivors a boost in movement speed if they are within x# of meters. "Command Override" perk….The ability to reset a one use perk possessed by each survivor in range would be unique… this would be a major irritant for killers… but each perk can only be reset one time even tho different players may employ it… Alternatively, have it require a skill check… but it would be keen to reset Decisive Strike… to the dismay of killers. At any rate Ripley should have some perks that make her an enviable survivor… I would also include Corporal Hicks… with a completely different set of perks one being he has to be hit 3x to go down…meaning 2x when exposed… making him a tough Hombre… This would make his key for running interference, a grit perk that keeps him from being revealed, would be interesting to have him able to move over smaller terrain Shoot It Out… (the scene where he dives thru the window to help Ripley and Newt in the medlab.) He can slide over cars and barrels but it has a cooldown… not a long cool down… Then you have Hadley's Hope… this could be a large map but would relegate it to the point where they have locked down the facility and are waiting for the second drop ship. Pallets are retextured to look like tech or machinery… there are vents that both survivors and killers can move thru and regular stair wells. The complex is a great map for survivors similar to the Hawkins Lab… It has holes made by acid that can be dropped thru, stairs, plenty of areas to jump, hide, stalk, and for a xenomorph to wall crawl. If I were building the map (and I am rather skilled at 3d modeling if I say so myself) I would include the Bar, parts of the exterior with plenty of obstacles/vehicles, south lock, the control room, medlab, mechanical rooms, landing pad, and plenty of corridors and barricaded sections. Another map could include a section of the main complex and then the Atmosphere processor to include the hive. The idea that this would not be a good map is simply not so… many of us liked Hawkins and were sad to see it go… (sure others hated it! but that can be said of many maps… the meat packing plant sucks for survivors with the extended range Doctor and sucks for the Trapper.)
How else could we have a face hugger in the game?… would not want to emulate the Twins… perhaps have the map start with a few pods that if survivors get too close open and spit out a tailed spider that chases them and if caught can wound them… or other survivors can help them pull it off. It also alerts the killer. The pods can spawn randomly during the game or they can be determined in place and number at the start of the session. They have to be a threat, have to give a good chase, and the pods not so easy to see on most maps anyway… Add-ons augment the pods in many ways to include number, duration, and threat zone. Then we have the Mori… well this is a no brainer… Its the survivor is caught by the Alien and head chomped… It may not be the most interesting Mori but it fits the cannon and fans would be disappointed for anything less…a thought out and well lit animation can make this especially satisfying…

All that said (and it was a lot srry) I am a big fan of Alien… I was 10 when I saw it in theaters in 79… I would love to see it in DBD… but the Xenomorph must be a sought out and prized killer to do justice to the cannon.

  10. I love this idea! But I never watched anything but the first movie. I would love a concept for a full evil dead chapter with an actual killer. But being real that would either be Evil Ash and Sheila or it would be Pablo/Kelly and some demon from the show.

  11. I love and agree with a lot of the points in this video, but I disagree with saying Nostromo wouldn't work. I think it could be a mix of what was done with rpd and hawkins– recognizable locations from the Nostromo with some of the original ways through, while also adding new hallways, corridors, stairs, windows, vents, and holes. I think it would absolutely be worthwhile to do to capture that isolated feeling that the first movie has, but the prison would also be very cool and I'd have no objection to seeing it in game.

  12. ultimately I'd say the best way of doing things would be
    basic Xenomorph
    Ellen Ripley
    Nostromo

    but
    basic Xenomorph
    Amanda Ripley
    Sevastopol Station
    would also be acceptable

Sevastopol is my prefered map and Amanda can always just be a skin for her mother though.

  13. Honestly, I think the facehuggers should just be saved for the mori, closing the rip-off loop that Artistโ€™s mori started with her crow burster ๐Ÿ˜€

Iโ€™m admittedly not sure we need another licensed stealth killer though, at first part of me thought it should just be a Demodoggy variant, but instead of the shred mechanic its tunnel entrances would be more numerous but at fixed locations and the xeno could drop survivors into them so theyโ€™d respawn elsewhere, resinโ€™d up like PyramidHeadโ€™s cages?

  14. I think Sevastopol from alien isolation would make a better map, it has several large areas that could be easily adapted. The San Cristobal would be a good choice (not the psych ward it would be too small),
Solomon's galleria (the shopping center) or the space flight terminal (where you first meet axel as you're trying to open a door with a maintenance jack). They could even give the map an alternate locker to match the aesthetic since you can hide in lockers in isolation.

  15. I personally think the Origin Facility around the Derelict ship from Aliens would be a more appropriate map, as the atmosphere and over all look feels more iconic to what most people associate with Alien. The prison facility is fine, but Iโ€™d worry the hot, orange pallet combined with the heavy steel and metal look would make it feel less sci-fi in the game.

  16. I tried the Twins, they were a nice change of pace; but in the end, as much as I think I'll play them every so often – they ended up showing me that I truly love the simplicity of the Clown. Without them, I'd still imagine myself a Freddy main, now I know the truth. I'm the Clown.

  17. I'd love to see Dead Space make it into this game. It's up there with Resident Evil and Silent hill as a Horror Titan of it's time (At least 1 is), and it's got some great potential for scary monsters to add to the game. Isaac Clarke could easily make it in as a Survivor, and you can pick the Hunter or the Brute as the monster for DBD. I think it'd make a great addition to the game, if nothing else for Isaac Clarke as a Survivor ๐Ÿ˜€

  18. Can I just say the power was something I never thought of before. I knew the only way a Xenomorph would have in its power was that of it being Undetectable because of course, but I do like the idea of Grim Hatchery and how survivors will choose to become injured or face getting murked. I love the power wholeheartedly but I feel that Hunter Mode is a tad bit weak. The undetectable and having it basically walk over pallets and windows is cool, the fact it moves slower than an a Slinger and have only Undetectable as its main gimmick is a bit underpowered. If i was to make a change to this it would be that either The Xenomorphs Lunge range is extended by 15% while in hunter mode, or make the Xenomorph crawl faster at around 4.8 m/s as seen in Alien Isolation as its able to travel very quickly through the vents and that its basically the same Xenomorph type (a drone) as seen in the first film. But hey A cool and thematic power nonetheless. ๐Ÿ™‚

Edit: I like how you referenced Predator in the add-ons.

  19. Yo! I looked at the addons, and I think dead dog might be a bit overtuned! If the Xenomorph can move at 4.6 while in hunter mode, then they kinda just have an insane power in chase since they move at regular killer speed, make zero noise, and can just ignore pallets and windows. If it were me, I'd lower it from 4.6 to 4.4 or maybe even 4.2 to keep the addon from feeling unfair to play against

I would also probably make the face huggers distinct from victor in how they attach since I feel like having a killer that does something similar to twins would make people even less likely to play twins since there would be a (in their eyes) better alternative

  20. Completely agree. I desperately want this chapter but am scared to get it- some things are sacred and are not to be fucked up. Done right, tho, I'd love nothing more than to get my hands on a badass space-dwelling apex creature that's impossible to kill. The Xenomorph would be nice, too.

  21. This power doesnt make any sense. it takes 60 seconds to accumulate, doesnt gain stacks while the survivor is occupied at all and takes nothing to remove it AND they lose stacks over time. The xenomorph has to set them up like traps has a very limited supply and has no movement abilities to recollect them the traps can be dismantled rather easily and quickly. And assuming they dont smash it you now must play as the facehugger and land a skillshot to even begin applying any downsides, which. Are just plain terrible. It doesnt injure survivors and only gives them a negative trait if they are currently injured, they then have to keep the facehugger on for 60 seconds or they will now be hindered which. Why would they let themselves get to that point? And then at stage three they can no longer do anything. but. Why would they ever get to that point???????

The killer has no power if the killer is not running addons below purple and is just a worse version of other stealth killers and a survivor will never have their facehugger reach stage 3 so most of those are useless too. You made a twins who cant use their power to down. Do you just have a fetish for bad killers?

  22. Iโ€™d love to see a map like the Pyramid from AVP. I know itโ€™s far fetched but I miss the 2010 AVP game. They nailed the perspective of the characters. The online modes were so much fun! my favorite mode being Infestation, which features one player as the xenomorph who is tasked with hunting down other players who are marines. Each marine felled by the xenomorph respawn as a xenomorph increasing their numbers. The goal was to survive a set time limit. My favorite map to play on was the Pyramid. It featured dark corridors that would shift and move periodically which set up ambush opportunities for the xenomorph, delivering a fun and authentic experience that really captured the atmosphere of the film. I know DBD will never have anything to that extent, but if they ever draw inspiration from that game, Iโ€™m sold. ๐Ÿ’ต ๐Ÿ’ต ๐Ÿ’ต
