Dead by Daylight has a new update coming soon that will be making huge changes to the game. DBD could potentially feel like a new game and like always I’m going to give my honest thoughts on how everything is going to play out.

Anyone know when the update launches
Finally the dead hard nerf I've been waiting for now we can more other perks being used
Forget nurse being unstoppable, is everyone just going to sleep on the fact that the endurance status effect means nothing to legion anymore?
I guess the only positive change is that bhvr is doing changes frequently than before, so I will wait for better updates cause rgn is literally a pile of sh*t. Great video <3
I have to say, I respect that Nemesis/Enduring/Rancor build.
Much love Choy
"I want you to keep something in mind"
The Deadhard is deeeaaad
I actually made a thread on the forums about how these changes will impact the endgame. The general consensus was that people didn't really care about getting fewer hooks/kills during endgame, they'd rather just play their next game.
Thank god MMR brought us this changes
Excellent video, you make some really good points.
I am still massively disappointed in the legacy reward. They said that they'd give us a reward worth "bragging" about but yet it's still only something only I can see in game. They added some gold trim to the prestige crests they could have put a little red crown on all of the crests for those of us that spent so many hours (thousands of hours in my case) P3ing characters before these changes go live on the 19th.
For the love of god; do not go to the sub Reddit and say “nurse is fine” you will get dog piled….. something is happening and I don’t exactly like it lol
Like you, I was fully prepared to use Overcharge without Call of Brine combo'd. Now, Call of Brine seems the way to go.
Great analysis. Doesn't sound like the devs have thought it through very well. I just hope they leave my Sally Smithson alone.
BHVR is forever 1 step forward 2 steps back. I uninstalled after the dredge patch, havent looked back ngl.
04:20 maybe unpopular. but in my opinion thats how endgame should be. they should be trying to get out, they shouldn't be getting hooked that late and should be penalised for it
BHVR wrote their motives on the wall from patch one for this update: more kills for killers. And, honestly, with a mori for the last survivor being in beta supposedly soon, BHVR is actively trying to make killers more deadly.
Now, I’m a killer main of the opportunistic variety. I wouldn’t say I always play for efficiency (tunneling, camping, etc) because I’d much rather be chasing, I’d much rather be learning new ways to counter survivors and work on Gen defense, which I’m absolutely horrible at. In cases where I feel like I have to camp, I hate it, because I know it isn’t fun for me or for the survivor it’s happening to. I say all this because I like the changes to endgame. To me. These changes are comparable to having NOED in the way that, as a killer, you know you’re going to have help in the endgame. Will it end up being like NOED, with killers wildly underprepared for higher MMR? I can’t really say yet, and I certainly don’t have enough hours or experience in the game to make a guess. In my experience, Decisive Strike has been the difference between getting a kill (and sometimes safety pipping; nobody likes hearing that “entity hungers” music) and having all four survivors getting out while teabagging and blinding me to boot. (It’s not something I consider toxic, just part of the game, but that doesn’t mean I’m not human. It gets to me sometimes.) Knowing that I have that safety net in the endgame is a relief.
However, you mentioned Bubba. And I can think of other killers who can be quite oppressive with the same or similar tools. I can see from the survivor’s perspective how annoying that might be, to not have that protection.
Honestly, I think the live servers will be the ultimate test of this update. We’ll have to wait and see.
ruin is stil gpomg to suck now
I can’t believe that nerfed dead hard again 😂😂😂
I really can't wrap my head around the Overcharge nerf.
"It was too oppressive when stacked with Call of Brine so we decided to make it useless unless it is stacked with CoB" ????
Why not just make it so the regression doesn't stack instead of making it an inferior version of CoB?
they went up then back down
Why did they make ds so bad like maybe add it like it was before or just keep it the same it's so stupid that u can't use it once the end game is powered
When that money start to dropping off they are going to regret these changes! Noed camping and tunneling still are a thing! Now we have no way to prevent this…basement Bubba basement trapper ridiculous! This game is going to die.
Auto Liked, I'll play 1-3 games then drop it until RE chapter comes back.
This kind of good but I especially like the new charms because it reminds me of the Saints Row 4 logo colour.
I feel the same as Choy about the overcharge nerf, at least it's still better than it was, but they shouldn't balance a perk around the combinations it can create, but what it alone does. I wouldn't mind it if using overcharge with call of brine has it start at 200% instead of 100% and then it progresses to 400% still. That would be a better change rather than balancing around how it can be combined with something else
I was so hoping for another Noed change… I'm so tired of it being meta, they did nothing to address this even though the update was supposed to shake up the meta.
I think nurse might be unstoppable if the survivors have made some big mistakes now and the Nurse doesn't make any mistakes back, which really would affect the lower end of the skill ceiling. I think I will have to see some tournaments to know how it would affect the high end, although I predict if Nurse remains how she is a slightly more consistent win rate albeit for the few that can play nurse vs high efficiency teams.
2:33 ish to 2:45 ish… BHVR just CANT do this "go for hooks and chases" because in the state of DbD the most reliable (some times the only one) strategy is "find the weak link". For a strat "multiple hooks, multiple chases" to be viable you need lobbys were all survs are "around same lvl of skill". This is simply not the way swf works right now, the only way would be to add some "restrictions" (like other games) were you CANT play with your friends if you rank (mmr, or warever) is way to far from each other.
But I feel camping is needed for the last fight for killers in endgame just like how hatch was given to survivors for their last chance of escape
I like the endurance changes. Now if they remove MMR, I am 100% coming back into the game
if youre running meta nurse and want to sweat a little, you have to be missing an arm to not 4k 99% of games
the 1% being fucking team eternal sweating with full meta in pubs and a lerys offering, anything other than that though? 4k after 4k atfer 4k after 4k
Honestly I dont understand why they dont nerf nurse? she breaks the game, is frustrating to play against specially if the nurse has 2000 hours on her, she is the best killer in the game for a reason.
This nervs and buffs are targeted to high-ranked premade groups. And yes, DS and DH was mutch to strong in this constellations. But for random que Gamer this changes are huge.
As a Nurse main when playing killer, I can say this patch indirectly buffs her. The endurance, ds, dh and all other changes make Nurse way better than she is currently, which is scary. The only counters to great Nurses were going to to the edge of the map, use dead hard and have a unique pathing (double back, fake the double back, fake the pallet camp, enter lockers when she blinks, exit when she enters fatigue etc). Now only a unique pathing can counter Nurse. I expect to see 90 Nurses and 9 blights every 100 matches, with the last match being someone doing a ritual or challenge.
