  1. It seems the wording of Wretched Fate is a little unclear but upon reading it closer it does say "One generator" not "a generator" hinting that it only happens when the first generator is completed. Super bad wording but that would be far more fair.

  2. …yet another perk everyone is not understanding? Why is it, when a perk says to do something, people immediately go n do it n expect value? Its another ON THE WAY perk if that makes ANY sense. Ive found that most* pwrks have this in mind n therfore dont merit use by the lesser minded. You arnt meant to "go search 2 chests" right off the bat. Nor should it clearly be ran by itself. Paired with plunderers, to search for keys which are like a solid chance at finding n getting hatch, pair it with LARAS perk to then when you finally touch a gen you will do PERMANENT gen progression , n now be able to escape through hatch, or heal w medkit, or blind with flashlight, or faster progression or sabo w toolbox. And now auto heal. There. I just made the build worth running.

  3. in solo wrertched fate is strong but in a 4man this perk and penti isnt strong, penti is only strong when you die next to the totem and if you are playing correctly you just change your death spots when you break totems, until the penti totem is broken

  4. What they should do with all the chest perks coming out is make it so you can rummage each chest once as a base mechanic. Then they can change appraisal to just opening speed. Like you open chests 50% faster and rummage chests 50% faster.

  5. Hex Wretched Fate seems like it has some really messed up builds.

Just off the top of my head you could do Hex: Wretched Fate, Hex: Pentimento, Hex: Plaything, and Friends till the End. You use friends till the end to focus down a new survivor as soon as they become the obsession, stopping them from finding the aura of Wretched Fate and setting up their plaything totem. Then once the obsession swaps to a survivor with their plaything totem up you leave them to hook someone else. The obsession can’t really do gens because of the slowdown, and if they find a totem through aura reading they have to guess if its their plaything or wretched fate. If they guess wrong, its a free pentimento stack, and if the killer is paying attention they can guard the wretched fate totem anyway.

The only way to tell the difference between the aura’s of your plaything totem and the wretched fate totem is that the plaything totem is revealed at 16 meters, and wretched fate is revealed at 12 meters. Only experienced survivors are going to know the difference, and not cleansing your plaything totem is really bad if you’re the oblivious as the obsession and suddenly you’re also exposed with your aura revealed because someone else got hooked. Its basically a free hook, and then it happens all over again for another survivor.

On top of all that, your team is probably under constant pentimento as the wrong totem guesses snowball out of control.

This is really messed up if it works…

  6. I'm gonna be real, not a fan of them releasing all these chest-related perks for survivors. Sure, it might fit thematically (Lara, obviously, not as familiar with Castlevania lore) but mechanically speaking, these perks are just so underwhelming. Their requirements are unnecessarily steep, usually requiring more than one chest search. But that just means they need to be subsidized with other perks or offerings, as you're generally only searching one chest per match. They really need to overhaul chests to make them more worthwhile, as generally the most you'll use one for is hoping to get a medkit to heal yourself while you're the last one alive, or just because you're so far ahead in the match you can choose to waste the 10 seconds to get a brown toolbox.

  7. The obsession could be slowed down to 63% no? Unless penti and wretched fate dont stack…. You could habe wretched fate active along with penti on another totem…. If they stack, rip obsession lmao

  8. I'd reckon that a Moment of Glory would be better if it was activated by cleansing a totem.
Opening 2 chests makes the perk too difficult to bother with using, unless you run appraisal. But running appraisal just to activate another mediocre perk feels lame.
And if you dont run appraisal. You get 1 chest in basement. Have to search around for the other randomly spawned chests. And hope solo que doesnt screw you over where someone already opened a chest before you.
Or god forbid two of you are running the perk without appraisal.

  9. new boon perk seems strong but it'll be nice to see a meta where boons are back since they provide a side objective (I have not played in like a year and have no idea if boons are meta now)

  10. Moment of glory would b nice with my loot goblin build lol the eyes of belmont sounds like a better version dark sense bc it extends the aura reading but idk im predicting more object of obsession users with it and alot more alert usage since it lasts longer

  11. Nerf to Hex: Pentimento-
Have each token only activate once per match

    Rework to Hex: Wretched Fate-
After the first Generator is repaired, ALL Survivors are cursed individually and suffer a Decreased Repair Speed of 9%/12%/15%
Each Survivor will have to Cleanse their own Hex Totem

  12. Wait, did Scott say killers can just bring a shiny coin… uhh killers have cut coins.. that chest perk though is as bad as hangmans trick to be honest. 8m is short so cant count on basement chest and 3s can be easily missed.

  13. What? That hex is stupid. We reading the same one? 33% gen regression and it's visible to all survivors. They are not the same at all. Wretched fate only happens once.
Only one perk has any value and it allows the survivors to proct their perk more frequently, the other perks encourage gen rush and team play.
I honestly think you troll too much.

    Dracula is neat though.

  14. purple medkit is not better (its the same) than brown medkit if survivor is going to use it for themselves only. its only better when survivor is going to use it for healing others. all medkits are the same if we are talking about self healing what is still weird to me even after so much time

  15. wait wtf I thought for sure the wretched fate would only proc off the first gen but it says nothing about that in the desc & that activating after every gen seems gross af with pentimento.

Arguably, it's kinda penti's fault but ig that could at least make this hex only activate once.

  16. All these item/chest perks recently is kind of interesting. I wonder if they are planning an alternate game mode/revamp of the item system.

    Something like:
    – Survivors don’t bring items into trials. Instead their item load-out guarantees that the first chest they open has that item and those add-ons.
    – Chests spawns increased. Chest opening time reduced by 20%. Each chest can be rummaged once by default. Appraisal allows additional rummages.

It would help slow down the survivors’ early game, especially important for any sort of set-up killer like Trapper or Hag, while also making chest-based perks like Appraisal and Hoarder actually useful. The survivors have to earn those 4 BNPs or 4 Medkits.

  17. Wait am I misunderstanding or would wretched fate work on every generation completion if the obsession cleanses the totem after every Gen?? Like it’s not just once per match or anything? Yeah with pentimento, that’s like, super busted
