Ive loved both these franchises since forever
I’m fine with both and I think that that the anniversary can do well if one of them is the chapter
I remember in the 4th anniversary when It ended up being Pyramid head people said the number 4 looked a lot like pyramid head "helmet" and when it was the 6th chapter people also speculated that the number was a hint to who the killer was, I remember people saying Candyman because the number 6 looked like a hook and the color and patterns looked like honey or something sweet related.
So maybe BHVR will do a similar thing with number 7 because if you look at Xenomorph standing it kinda looks like a 7, well, we can argue that it looks more like letter T.
I don't think it's going to be FNAF, maybe in the 8th anniversary, the number 8 looks a lot like the animatronic costume or it could be Until Dawn, at this point, Fnaf in dbd is like a inside joke
OG Candyman would be pretty fucking sweet. Don't know if it'd ever gain traction though

Even if I personally would love FNAF to finnaly make it's appearance on the fog, with Springtrap as a Killer and Michael Afton as the survivor, I think this once again is a red herring.
Alien has more going for it, the leak that was in another subreddit (if they really wanted clout they could've just posted on r/DBD, so this makes it to me more believable), Ken Pejoro being really the hypeman for the possible chapter, and overall the timeline of production making more sense to Alien than FNAF, as the first post Pejoro made was 9 months ago, instead of the only solid conection to FNAF being the recent blumhouse partnership, that has less than 2 months of time.
In anycase, I would be happy to see either of them, Im a huge FNAF fan and a Alien enthusiast, so either would make my horror heart really happy, I think FNAF more than Alien but I can't help but get excited about cute little killing machine from out of space to make it to the fog.
My optimist heart has an unfudamented and anedotical theory however, that maybe the teaser on MyM is a nod to the FNAF community, like saying "Ladies and Gentleman, we got'em (rights)." and are now in early production, maybe to come out on Christmas season! Which tends to have bigger chapters or more experimental ones. Im definetly creating my own narrative, but hey a man can dream. In anycase, my wishes aside, my final take is…

This time with alien its different because Tony Todd doesn't own the rights or liscence out candyman. The person who's maybe teasing alien is in charge of liscencing alien into different things.

Alien was a childhood movie of mine (don’t ask) and after rewatching it for the first time in years I definitely want Xenomorph in DBD now
FNAF is the most important franchise to me and I’ve wanted Springtrap in the game since I started playing in 2020
I do think it’s gonna be Alien since Fortnite and Fall Guys released their Alien cosmetics before Alien day and maybe there’s some kind of contract with that idk
But I do think FNAF is gonna be next years anniversary since 2024 is the 10 year anniversary of FNAF and so they can use the movie design of Michael Afton as a survivor

The thing that makes me think they definitively enjoy hyping up the springtrap people up is that during the hellraiser teasers they revealed the word hellraiser in a series of letters hidden in their twitter posts. These letters just so happened to not disqualify "springtrap" until the very end of the teasers.
I'm more like Fnaf fan than alien but either one would be great and welcomed, but first they have to bring us back Stranger Things

I think fnaf is too damn goofy personally. Alien all the way. It would be dope to get a queen skin or at least the queen’s crown. Only ripley as a survivor. Save the resources for fnaf for the fans. I started way too late and missed out on the demogorgon. If fortnight did it years ago, then Dbd needs to have this yesterday.
