if its licensed it HAS to be a stranger things character. fornite got a whole new character(eleven) rather than the old cosmetics(hopper and demo) just coming back. maybe im just saying this cause id luv more st characters LOL
I can't really see a survivor only chapter that is licensed. It's not interesting enough imo. A celebrity, why not? They can new cool perks but it's quite funny and unusual to have an actual person in the game.
A licensed survivor? Usually what's iconic with licensed chapters is the killer. The thing that induces fear and horror. The thing that kills. Of course there's always someone trying to survive and escape from them. But they would feel so lackluster without the killer. For this reason, if the new survivor is licensed, I could only see someone from a killer only chapter like Hellraiser.
Someone like Lara Croft is just too weird. She's iconic but she has nothing to do with horror. It would make DbD a Smash Bros of its own genre, going outside the realm of horror. And I don't know if I like that.
As for original survivors, well anything is possible and some like Mikaela are amongst people's favorite characters, bringing new gameplay features (here boons)

Chapters are planned months in advance st return would have more to it then just making adding the st characters back to shop and they’re skins and the map
No visual updates to Steve and Nancy and Jonathan or Hawkins
No changes to demo’s power or add ons or perk buffs or changes not even new skin came with them
Also no new skins aren’t planned for them going all the way to January
It’s gonna be a hot while until anything new for st

I really think the point schmuckles brought up about how it could be related to supermassives game is true. It makes sense. Technically its an original dbd character, but at the same time its licensed through supermassive games. And, it gets people excited for their new single player experience

Personally I think a walking dead chapter without negan as a killer would be a shame, also personally I don’t want another stranger things survivor, a skin for the existing ones would be better to me
They most likely will never bring a DBD content creator into the game due to their horrible history with former Fog Whisperers
Hear me out…. Six from Little Nightmares would be a sick survivor… ALTHOUGH I would prefer a full on chapter with a killer,map and survivor,maybe age her up so she can fit in the DBD universe! Maybe her DBD lore could work as some sort of sequel to her story (I haven't finished Little Nightmares 2, so I don't know if she dies or something lol)
James A Janesse from the Deadmeat channel recently said on a live that him and his gf Chelsea would be fully willing to be survivors in DBD, considering the Deadmeat channel has over 6 million subscribers and is one of the most influential horror channels on YouTube, and both James and Chelsea are becoming actors in actual horror movies I think it’d be really dope to add them in

I would love to see BHVR take inspiration from NRS and do their version of a Kombat Pack “Survivor Pack” which brings in a new Survivor or Killer – maybe give us Survivor or Killer for those who lack a counterpart in the game?

Not happy about Rainbow Six coming to DBD. First trans character is cool, but R6 is not horror, and it just reminds me that they didn't do Chucky with a survivor, considering Glen in human form could have been the first trans Legendary — AND ACTUALLY BE FROM A HORROR FRANCHISE. Pout. : (
I hope it's a survivor that compliments a lone killer — Sally, Kristy, or of course Sidney would all be great. I don't think Neve Campbell's drama with Scream 6 would be a major factor — it is 100% a money issue for her, and not an issue with the franchise or creators behind it. If the money is there, she'd say yes, and if anything, it would keep her name around the Scream franchise, which can't hurt when negotiating for Scream 7. Another bonus — a lone Sidney survivor opens the door for further Scream survivor Legendarys… including Jenna Ortega's character (which would be much preferred over Jenna Ortega playing herself in DBD). I'd personally want adult Andy from Chucky (with Nica and human Glen as Legendarys), but if they were gonna do that any time soon, it woulda been part of Chucky's release. Pout. : (
Please no streamer survivors. Not only super obscure for the average player, but diminishes the world DBD is creating. And please no more actors playing themselves, unless it's people specifically associated with horror (Elvira, cough). Did it once, Nic Cage, as a lark, and the story is him on a set of "another horror movie" when the Entity takes him, sure, it's fun, it's meta (which is on brand for Cage), but don't keep doing it. It will lose its memeness quickly, and eventually ruin the hall-of-fame-of-horror specialness of DBD. Tony Hawk, are you effing serious, Dwight??
I doubt they'd release a new Stranger Things survivor (even with Legendaries) instead of a full Stranger Things Chapter 2. Predictable or not, it's more likely they'd do Vecna with two new survivors again, and maybe a second Stranger Things map (or update the old one with new areas), and really push the full chapter of it all. However, a "big" Survivor paragraph like Walking Dead, with a new Survivor and a bunch of Legendarys, is something I've always thought they should do. Put me down for a big Ghostbusters or Scooby Doo survivor chapter as well.
If it's another original, I dunno, they'd have to make them really special. Have a whole new mechanic attached, ala boons.
