  1. It’s a worse problem when survivors abuse it cause survivors can take the game over there and do it at will. a killer body blocking up there is almost completely reliant on a survivor getting up there.

  2. Per steam charts: this past month was the fourth consecutive month Dead by Daylight has declined in population – something that hasn't happened since 2017. Numbers are still fairly high, but can anyone say, downward trend?

  3. As far as I'm concerned it's fixed. The map's fuckin huge. if you get caught in the library it's probably because you were going to abuse it in the old way and you deserve what you get. To actually abuse the library by body blocking without the survivor literally putting themselves in that situation you'd have to run agitation and iron will (you probably still wouldn't make it from anywhere but the side of the lobby the leads into the library and that's still pretty far.) That's two perk slots. they do it to one person and you now know they have an ass build and you just stomp them. Don't forget that as survivor YOU choose where the chase goes not the killer. It's why basement builds aren't meta. If you just put some distance between you and a dead zone it basically doesn't exist. Killers don't get the luxury of choosing where you go. You get to choose where they go. Maybe they could change it in a better way in the future but even if they knew the problems with this change it's still better overall than the previous situation. If it's gonna be broken in a way one side can't really avoid or in a way that the other side could easily avoid I'll take the latter. It's not like the library was a good looping area or anything anyway. I never even stepped foot in there as killer until players started doing the scummy no hook shit.

  4. TO BE FAIR… if you know this as a survivor, and you're injured… simply don't go up there lol. There are other "trappy" spots on other maps where you just kind of don't go as a survivor. You at least have that CHOICE. As a killer, before this, if a survivor ran up there you were kind of screwed either way unless you just slugged super hard. Not saying this fix is great or anything, but it's definitely better than NOT having hooks up there.

  5. Can they change the map? It's a copy of the original resident evil map so is it within the contract to change the map layout? I think a good solution is a guaranteed hook in the library but on the floor not above. That way there is no boil over abuse and no body blocking.
