  1. Gotta say, man. This thinking about speedrun not demanding skills is a big BS. To be a really good speedrunner in a game like DS you need way more than just patience. Saying this is an insult even.
Real bad conception, but well, it's your opinion.
    Cheers.

  2. If you have ever seen a Hitman Speedrun… It takes skill. There are so many different ways being discovered and precise techniques/exploits being discovered with precise aim. Have you seen a Super Mario 64 Speedrun? Just saying, it does take skill.

  3. I think the argument of skill and patience made here is contradictory. Patience is a skill. And it's a skill we all have to master one day.
Artists need it. Musicians need it. And speedrunners need it. If they don't have the patience, then they either fail or never get better. Isn't that the foundation of being skillful?

  4. It's all perspective. You're just not hardcore for dark souls. I don't believe it's fair to judge it when you don't experience it in its entirety. In dark souls 2, ng+ actually adds hostiles to areas to switch things up. All dark souls games are heavily influenced by pvp and coop so to call them robotic is just false.

Elden ring will be coop and pvp, it'll have variety based on your interactions with other players. If you aren't hardcore dark souls, that's fine but don't it robotic if you don't play it the way you play dbd.

  5. I really want True to have a week where he learns every Blight exploit just to see how insane he can get.
Watched Lilith Omen the other day and was blown away by what blight can do.

  6. I agree with what Tru3 is saying about boss battles.

When I was a teenager, I remember I used to feel the same way. I would try to beat bosses only on the first go. If it took me more than one try to beat a boss, I took that to mean I wasn't skilled enough at the game.

Idgaf anymore though. Back then I played games to enjoy them, now I play games just to beat them.
