There's no skill base in the game any more everything that required skill and been removed
I personally think he captioned that DBD was dying strictly for clickbait. I don't think even he believes it's dying. This game dies like 5 times a year and the only thing that really happens is that old players go, new players show up, and it cycles. As long as licensed characters are in this game I don't think it's going to die. I will however say that after this recent update BHVR announced a few days ago, along with the very poor sales of the Tools of Torment Chapter, a LOT of people did leave the game. I'm intruiged to see how many people actually stay after this new patch.

Honestly the only thing i took away from this whole debacle was that lilliepie is a dickhead, not gonna go to much into detail but her response to twitter and all the following haraassment it caused spooks was disgusting

Great video mate, yeah skull merchant and knight in my EU servers are always trying to get a 3 gen and that is so boring. I play both sides and even when I play killer I dont play that way. I prefer a 10 to 15 minute match that is idle not 30 minutes that is boring AF. Spooks had some good points and you reacted to them well.

It's because of killer mains like Spooks that it's dying, never caring about the other side of the player base and always playing the victim card when they game couldn't be more in their favor
For the point on new characters, I think knight and skull merchant are more egregious because Condemned Sadako is just her abusing a combo of addons, which is just something BHVR should have fixed in a post launch balance update. Her basekit would be completely fine if BHVR buffed it. Knight and Skull Merchant are worse for me because you can literally see what the character does as a basekit and instantly see that, hey, they are going to be able to hold games hostage in 3 gen scenarios. They don’t need addons to do so and they were designed to play in this annoying campy way. Sadako’s Condemned build at least is addon reliant and could be easily fixed by reworking those addons.
Edit: The fucking Pride Charm thing!!! Jesus. I’ve had survivors cry that I should take my pride charms of when I play Blight or Wesker because they don’t like those killers!! Like… hello?? I’m just trying to play characters I enjoy?? I also get a lot of sexist abuse in post game chats and I think to myself… Jesus christ
