  1. They should tie it to the survivors bleed out instead up to 50% and make the unhook attempts only 3 times on first stage. This will make it so that they can only bleed out (which is killer controlled) or kts on hook at 2nd stage.

  2. some days ago i had 5 games in a row of someone going next on first hook right away. they did not have deli and everyone were on gens. on my 6th i literally wrote in the pre-lobby chat "please don't go next on first hook" and nobody did, guess what we got a 3 out

  3. I've had survivors die on their first hook independant of whether the game was going well for the survivors or not, to the point I've had COMEBACKS as killer because one survivor threw a tantrum over being on a hook. And when I play survivor, it's always a rule, if the first chase is short they just give up on hook immediately.

  4. the thing is, even if theres no give up option, people will find other ways not to play the game and still be as destructive. putting a ''give up option'' at the end of a hook timer would just encourage DCing more. the reason people are giving up is bc the game is boring, stale, unfun, and overall pretty killer sided in my honest opinion. The game is and always will be ultimately unbalanced and no new patch will trump any previous patch (vice versa) making the game ''the most balanced it's ever been''

  5. I dont play much anymore if I dont have to (completed battle pass) I played all the time since trickster released I currently hate way more things than ever. I am a killer main but I despise current killer situation and gen defense I cannot have fun as killer in 90% of my games so I stareted playing survivor but there are some killers SM and some perks that are way too annoying annd since I played with friend and he shifted to ov2 I dont play the game at all anymore I have more fun in ov2 with my friend but I wish for old "crazy unfair" things to get back or atleast current ones going away

  6. Honestly the people who give up on hook frequently need to just stop and uninstall the game they clearly don't enjoy it so why play the game if you give up 80% or 90% of the time bro theres many other games to play so play some else and if you do find yourself wanting to dc or die on hook then just get off the game and play something else this community and all there bs is really annoying bro

  7. Whatever you think of to "fix" this situation, the DBD community will find out another way to give up, save from tabbing out of the game completely and just letting the match play out while they watch youtube or something. The DBD community is full of the whiniest, entitled, selfish, mean spirited people I have ever seen in a gaming community, ever, and I used to play LoL, overwatch, and CSGO, so I know how fucked gamers can be. I also can say without a doubt that I have never had the risk of being DDoS attacked, Doxx'd, or threatened with the 100% real possibility of real world harm before I started playing this game. I can't even say that any of this is exactly the games fault or even the devs as the community itself just has this air of batshit insanity to it that stretches into gameplay.

Seriously, I am not joking about the DDoS attacks and the Doxxing. I literally stopped playing the game on steam because of it and had to move to the microsoft store version of the game and buy a VPN because of the community.

  8. the game is balanced its just really balanced for killer , suriviors can make it out with no perks but lot killers they dont really have to try to get hooks the game rewards them for playing poorly .
but it dosent happen a lot in my games as suriviors since new players ,im acting as lead example of what to do some times.
but if happens its because of sable trying to bully the killer and failing so i just give up and move to next match.
the only way to fix it is hook distance killers should not be allow 2 to 3 hook options after getting body blocked by 2 survivors ,it should only be that way if they have iron grasp . they need to fix wiggle great skill checks progression and hook distance where at point where decrees the hook distance is not needed for offering. and hooks re-spawn so there no need to worry about dead zone anymore.
so people punished for playing as surivior note that we now have aura reading perks that just quickly end chase.

  9. It tends to be the first person hooked from what Ive seen, and I think the reason is to do with the prevelance of tunnelling. If you feel you are just gonna be tunneled and you are playing solo, so you cant get protection from the team, or optimal unhooking times, maybe you dont want to keep playing that match? Its not something that I do myself, but I can understand the feeling that there is no way to counter the inevitable tunnelling unless you only run anti-tunnelling builds all the time rather than some of the more fun builds?

  10. Everytime i come back to this game its always the same shit botkillers, teammate hiding doing no gen while i chase the killer for 15 MINUTUES no kidding ppl giving up and quiting its not the same game as it was 4 years ago

  11. I know this will be an unpopular opinion (esp in your little community of killer mains) but I don't see people give up half as much as everyone claims they do. Sure, it happens but for me it's maybe 1 in ~5-10 games where someone actually ragequits at 5 gens. It's kind of like how survivors claimed they were getting slugged and bled out all the time, then the statistics showed it wasn't as common as people thought. I think people would be surprised if they came out with similar stats for how often people "go next." Just my two cents.

  12. Id love to see the self-unhook mechanics get a bit of a rework. I like the idea of having the opportunity to use your 3 chances being shifted to the tail end of a hook but with the way that currently works the time penalty is too steep to try more than just once in the last 10 or so seconds of a hook stage. I think it would be fair to drastically reduce that time penalty from ~23s to 5s, making it only available in the last 15 seconds of your first hook stage. Then you could add a new effect to slippery meat that pulls that minimum time requirement back by 5 seconds for each additional attempt it grants. Plus it could be a shadow nerf to deliverance/wicked; forcing you to wait at least 55 seconds on hook before you get the opportunity to unhook youself. (Ofc these perks could just be considered special cases that allow you to instantly attempt escape as long as the requirements are met)

  13. Once someone gives up, your win condition has to change.
Go next yourself? Try to outlast the others? Go for the most points you can? Have one last banger chase? Meme with killer? Collect items? See if you can kobe off hook? Protect one survivor religiously, losing if they're caught? Try to get value from every perk? Use up your item? Search every chest? Live in basement?
    The list goes ooooon.

  14. Wouldn't just getting rid of this mechanic solve the problem? Like. Do I not understand something? Just make it so people can't try to get off Hook unless the Gates are open, or get rid of it entirely.

Compensate us with something that actually matters, like giving everyone enough shards to buy a character or something. Blood Points don't matter, you are at cap after like 3 games, at least in my experience. It's a fake 'we're sorry' currency, it actually just doesn't do anything to give out blood points. Maxing blood points takes like 20 minutes.

I think removing this mechanic, giving shards as compensation, no one will be mad about that. And people literally can't give up on hook.

Although, a 2nd point, you simply cannot stop people from giving up period. If they don't want to play, they won't play. It doesn't matter what Behavior does, people cannot be stopped from giving up/quitting/just leaving/ afk. The only thing that could possibly make a dent in removing it completely is like doing System ID bans. And I don't even know if that is possible to do to PC Players. I just know it is a thing on Xbox, where you have to get a new Xbox to bypass the Ban.

They can add incentives to decrease the frequency, but stopping it entirely isn't possible. What is the ratio of games played without a quitter we are looking for? 1/10 Games has a quitter? I'm personally fine with like 1/5 or 6.

  15. I said this in your other video BraBran, that the only thing wrong with your idea is that it traps people like myself in games that i cant be in for headache reasons. Like Clown, Like Doc, Like Trickster who has those criss cross line screen effect. It'd force me to just go afk on stream and wait for the person who's playing killer to kill me….and it would also lead to an epidemic of people just standing at the hook like that because they can't move next…..not only because people like me cant vs said killer because of headaches with screen effects, but just because those same people who give up on first hook just because they dont want to Vs like say, blight, or spirit, or Xeno, so they'll just throw anyway and go afk at the hook once hooked. I feel there is really no solution to the "give up on first hook" thing, for people who just dont want to be in said game…..and dont want the DC pen.

  16. This whole thing about oh if your not having fun then then quit next game. The whole ha ha skull merchat instant dc, nurse oh instant dc etc all these things that are encouraged by social media by some streamers. Or even when ppl watch survivors videos of them escaping every chase. Nothing goes wrong type games. Without the knowledge that they had to play multiple games to even get a match like that

  17. 5:54 its funny because at the time the topic of there having the need for a second objective for survivors. Old undying filled that need. And lets be real how many games did you or anyone have where you had to cleanse all 5 totems. That rarely happened in my games. We had a 2nd objective in a form of a perk and ppl hated it.

  18. This happened to me today. I’m a spirit main and she is VERY buggy right now. her audio is completely messed up, but I still played her. I played with the new genetic limits which makes ppl exhausted when hit. I used this to counter iron will, which is the strongest perk against spirit currently. I hit someone with iron will once… once… and they gave up on first hook. Keep in mind this is while she’s extremely buggy. I ran a perk to counter a perk, that’s how this works… you run something to potentially counter something else. I ran a counter to iron will… and this survivor gave up because of it. It’s childish. Something doesn’t go your way so you throw a fit and give up? Wtf

  19. When I'm playing killer, it's satisfying seeing survivors give up. They're acknowledging defeat and that I'm simply better than them. I'll have a big smile on my face while I choose to hook them or to leave them slugged to prolong their despair while I go to slug the rest of the team.

When I'm playing survivor and I see another survivor give up, I think of them as weak-willed losers who shouldn't bother playing the game to begin with. I have won games where 2 survivors remain (myself and 1 other person) and I looped a killer for 5+ mins with 3 gens left long enough for the other survivor to finish all 3 gens. There's nothing more sweet to savour than what seems to be an un-winnable match.

  20. simple change that ik the whining survivors will come to me for, but hear me out…

let's stop with the changes that revolve around the SURVIVOR, survivors literally just need to git guud at the game.

  21. I don't think there is a way to fix it because if you remove the unhook attempt on the hooked survivor they'll just run towards the killer or go afk and hold the run button or vault back and forth on window or pallets or even worse drop every pallets on the map to make the game no longer winnable for survivors.

  22. I mean if players wants to give up on hook, thats their choice. No one need to force them to stay in the game if they dont want to. Im one of those players that gives up on first hook and when they come to unhook me then i drop every pallet in the game.

  23. TBH I'm a giver upper. I mostly give up when the killer tunnels someone out at 4-5 gens or I have teammates hiding and not doing gens. Why would I play a match that was a three man from the start? I'm up for them introducing a new mechanic but change something else. Make tunneling harder to do or remove the MMR. Because in solo q I get potato teammates and idk why. I get the guy with zero hooks and a key hiding in the corner so why even try? I can just go next and hopefully get better teammates. I'm sure it's because I play mostly solo q because I have no friends lol and then die most matches because of x,y,z and then I get teammates that the game thinks I match with. We all have bad games but at 5k hours I don't want to see someone's steam page of a survivor with 500 hours. And then you get in a match and they all bundle on the same gen against a legion for example. I've realized that I give up a lot and it's caused me to play something else because obviously this game is not enjoyable to me.

  24. Definitely one of the main reason I don’t play anymore
Killer: Survivor takes no skill and gen rushing is insane I’ve gotten matches as a survivor that last actual 3 minutes
Survivor: everyone leaves or gives up and or never touches a gen even though it’s as simple as hold gen button and that’s it

  25. The game is most balanced its ever been with 60% kill rate? Okay. Bhvr. is destroying their game because killer mains whine so much on the forums. I'm going to keep "going next" and I hope more and more survivors join me until Bhvr. fixes their game so one side doesn't have a 20% advantage.
