Dead by Daylight Analyzed: The Skull Merchant

I was very worried I wouldn’t get to upload this until after Halloween, because I was only able to get one match in before my PS5 stopped functioning reliably. But it turns out I still had an old match of Skull Merchant saved from September of last year, and I was able to use that. Granted, that video shows Skull Merchant back when she was OP as hell, but I figure it’s a good way to show just how different she is.

  1. Yeah I have immense hatred for this character because she looks like a predator knockoff, and I don't even play the game. I understand there's complications when it comes to acquiring the rights for licensed killers, but they could've come up with something more creative. Also, that bit on her lore where she created that manga website and hires a bunch of kids to make money for her and uses her wealth to where she started buying smaller companies and businesses and replacing the staff of those with workers of her own choosing, kinda makes me think of a certain DEI (or DIE as we like to call it) practice a certain DiabetusFeitus consultation company like to practice with certain gaming companies.

  2. As a Skull Merchant player, I can testify that the crouch tech works against drones. Allowing Survivors to crouch walk to the drone and deactivate it. I did this myself when facing other Skull Merchants and have tried to encourage the Survivors I faced to do it, but most want to DC. Skull Mommy does not want weak sheep! She wants wolves!

  3. I despise her design, because for a character meant to represent Brazil, she only makes people more ignorant about Brazilian culture. Reinforcing foreign stereotypes about the country, like the sexist views over Brazilian women. There is so much folklore in Brazilian culture, great killer ideas, and yet they chose "hot killer rich woman that sells anime" Wow, just wow. I'm severely disappointed at BHVR for this.

Edit: look up "Curupira" and "Mapinguari" Imagine what a great killers those could be.
