  1. They already had Moonlight offerings they removed because they didn't work. So now they're adding it back in because… why? I'm hoping they elaborate in another video! BUT, I can picture this being a nightmare for content creators. It's gonna be SO DARK.

  2. My super optimistic side is very "YES! New modifier, go BHVR!!!". The Lights Out, too dark part mayyybe they're trying to help out streamers with their lighting by making everyone blind along with them? Orrr, if it's temporary maybe it'll remind everyone why the moonlight offerings were removed? Or maybe it's just too cool a name to pass up. "Light's Out, time to die!"
In any case I'm actually hopeful that it will work out one way or another, and that future modifiers could be pretty exciting!

  3. I like the react content cause it'll help push out more videos! I'll probably play this new game mode as Scratched Mirror Myers if possible. Would LOVE scaring the shit out of people heheheh 😈

  4. I agree with that notion of not wanting to install mods or filters for a game I’m playing. Just want to boot up the game and enjoy it, which is why I appreciate newer games with accessibility options built in. I get bad motion sickness with most first person games if the field of view isn’t wide enough. A darker mode here on DbD reminds me of the few times I played the game on console and couldn’t see anything because I have an OLED TV and that darkness was way too dark.

  5. I'm excited to try it, I think it will make it more scary for those of us who aren't scared of the game. And more challenging. Also, I absolutely agree with you about NOT using any 3rd party shit or changing things to make the game appear different. I'm the exact same with that.

  6. I see so many calling this a new mode but what I have seen, its not a new mode its looks more like a modfier to normal games. New mode in my mind changes how the game is played like new objectives for survivors or changing the number of players in a match(5v5 or 2 killers vs 8 survivors). Lights out just looks like normal matches but darker maps. That in my mind is not a new game mode its as what the devs calling as a modfier.

Lets use another game as exp of what I mean. OW2 in Arcade has a playlist called Total Mayham which is just normal matchs with everyone's HP and Dam boosted really high and Ult changing is faster. It modfiles the normal game of OW. Now OW events tho are new modes like mei snowball fights or the Halloween PvE modes, these are compete new ways to play the game and dont have the same objectives as normal matches. So I feel like calling Lights Out a new mode is just competely wrong.

  7. This chick is still a dog whisperer (flips chair) jk jk. I haven’t played DBD since Wesker chapter release. This mode won’t change that but I hope fans enjoy it.

I do wonder what is one thing you would add or remove from the game that you think could make the overall gameplay better or more balanced?

  8. i'm unsure how i feel with the lights out modification as far as making the games background in complete darkness. it will be interesting and different for all to experience we will just wait and see the results on jan 30. 😱😨

  9. I've been using Nvidia filters to increase the Gama cuz DBD is too dark imo. And I remember the Darkest Moonlight offerings. Way too dark. This seems meh to me. It really is just Dredges Darkness 24/7. Remember Original Freddy's dream world was so dark and they finally brighten it up. Seems like a trend here.

I'm not a fan but I'll still try it.

  10. Remember when survivors had those…… Cahla breaks in with the same argument She knows,of course she knows! Well, killers complained to the moon and back about how dark it got,and the ultra rare offerings for survivors were permanently removed,so that alot of people never got the achievement that would make it possible to even platinum the game. I voted for several of theyr mod suggestions in a community thing/poll. And this is what they ended up with???

I saw the trailer and i had the same reaction as you,Cahla. I didnt know if i should laugh or cry……

Meanwhile,The Dredge celebrates as the only one so far. Apparently we can not have fun modes in dbd. I will probably watch someone play it abit, but i have a gut feeling i will find it boring.

  11. I'm on board with you. Too dark isn't fun. It just isn't. I like to see the game, the environment. When games feel the need to just make everything too dark to see, that says something about the game. Happy weekend all. Be safe..

  12. I like the idea of this for stealth killers but, other killers like Nurse, Blight, Hillbilly and a few others may be pretty rough. Overall though if this is the start of adding new kinds of modifiers or modes it's a nice step in the direction I just don't know how the MMR is gonna work with this. Like will MMR cross between both modes or not?
