About Dead by Daylight:

  1. I understand some of the dislike but nfts are fine lol they just shouldn't buy them if they are this mad about it and no one needs to "pay" just because they are upset about it

  2. NFTs have a chance to get the Hellraiser DLC key. The key is the same as DLC you buy off Steam. Just like you can get Steam keys from sites like Humble Bundle.
As far as Steam policy goes, it reads the game itself cannot have crypto mining or items purchase through crypto, like NFTs.
For example, if bhvr makes auric cells available through crypto currency or make certain skins only availble by owning a NFT, Steam would give them the boot.

  3. Whilst some of the practical uses of NFT''s are a bit shitty, and personally Im on the fence as to whether this is a good thing ethically – NFT's could be good for die hard fans of gaming in general?? Think of it as digital art/collectables item released by those who made the game/product… An NFT has a secure key to guarantee authenticity – Some physical items like Pokemon cards, retro consoles, original release computer games, celeb autographs , physical art, etc hold a lot of value to those with a vested interest.

The same could be the case for NFT's… If you manage to get a limited edition of some digital art for your fave game the likelihood it will be looked on in the same way as some of the items above to those with the same vested interest.

It sounds as though along with the NFT BHVR are offering access to the Hellraiser Chapter as an additional perk – Your game should stay on Steam as by the sounds of the communication from BHVR as the NFT's are completely seperate from the game… (i.e. you don't need to to purchase or use NFT/crypto to play)

Providing they keep the NFT releases to a reasonable amount of tokens (to keep demand high), they should prove quite popular and prove to be an interesting experiment as to how they could begin to be purchased in computer games and potentially traded by fans. (Whilst of course making yet more revenue for the games company)

Interesting video mate – Sorry for the essay…

  4. If BHVR end up being in NFT where Steam are planning to ban that at the same time. Will all DBD community from PC will lose their account and start all over since their progress is from their Steam Account? 🤔

  5. When it comes to situations like this alot of the stuff sounds really really bad on paper but in action or about a week down the line things don't often happen I think that in maby three days the higher ups will make a statement regarding this remember it only got tweeted a couple of hours ago so makeing accusations and demonising behaviour this early is unnecessary and could cause more problems down the line

  6. I think people are more annoyed to the fact they didn't tell us until now about NFTs being used on their Pinheads models. They wouldn't of got a lot of sales towards this chapter if they were open about this before the release of the Hellraiser chapter. People don't want their money to support a scam like NFTs which have been linked to a lot of shady stuff and NFTs is primarily purchased with nasty crypto currency that requires a lot of processing power to mine and transaction which is very bad for the environment as well. For the sake of having Pinhead in the game they should of said thanks but no thanks and did a different license or non license chapter. Having their name linked with NFTs regardless if it offers in-game content or not is very bad and is just showing BHVR doesn't care…basically the DBD playerbase who paid for Pinhead a portion of that has gone to a NFT company which no one wants to support.

  7. Even if BHVR isn't kicked from Steam, I am betting we can say Good-Bye to Bill Overbeck. We now KNOW license holders can pull their characters from BHVR, thanks to Stranger Things, and if Valve really is against NFTs I can't see them allowing BHVR to keep one of their characters
