pls no the crashing on console made me go from rank 8 to 17 😭
A survivor dcs in 90% of my matches. It’s getting real annoying.
After they fix the game on console.
I understand where you're coming from man, I really do as someone who plays survivor and killer but I don't want the dc penalties to come back on console until the game is actually fixed. Getting banned for the game crashing while trying to survive through a match with all the lag, stuttering and freezing as is would be insult to injury for so many of us, again. Lol
The DC Penalties should apply to people whom used the Quit Match Button too many times; that way game crashes shouldn't be punished but rage quitting is

I wonder if there even is a way to differentiate DC's from crashes on BHVR's side, since they both count as a disconnect

I never really agreed with the DC penalties. I personally feel if someone doesn't want to play a match or something they should be able to leave. It may be unfun or whatever but a lot of things in the game are. I don't think having a bit more DC's are bad. It just makes the people who aren't having fun happier. I just don't like trying to stop people from leaving from a match that they aren't enjoying in a game they spent so much money on.

I think it’s time for behavior to have AI replace the DCs. It’s hard to punish across the board when this game is melting garbage right now.

I thought DC penalties were still activated?
I think it will give constructive consequences to their actions so they can learn how to behave maturely, but I’ve had my game crash twice and have been given five minutes which is no ones fault except for the game’s, I’ve even had sweaty survivors dc on me because I found and downed them first 😒.
Sucks to play this game on console at the moment. I should have turned off crossplay some time ago because PC killers are 100% taking advantage. The amount of times I've been tunneled because the lag makes me an easy down is insane, so I've been guilty of a few rage DCs myself. I don't really get why the free DC is active on PC if the lag is a problem on consoles, tbh. Just like I don't get why the bribe for waiting for the patch was given to everyone playing the game while. Poor PC players have had it so hard playing through the anniversary event without their game freezing every time they dead hard or use their killer powers, right?
By far the biggest effect of it all I've seen has been blatant high rank players playing at rank 16-17 because they've been deranked hard from all the DCs. But that isn't resigned just to survivors. A few killer players I've run into seem to have cottoned on to this too. It's easier than AFKing, just DC from a couple dozen games in a row and you can finally do your nurse adept, amirite?
No joke, one time a rank 6 spirit with stridor DCed on Hawkins because we got all the gens done, cleansed her totems, she was trying to tunnel Steve outta the game but we all bodyblocked her, and right when all of us was about to escape, she DCed
I play spirit and survivors that runs around loops like if they're looping an m1 killer dcs when I down them…typical survivors mains but she's braindead op right?

Idk about anyone else but me and my friends have been experiencing stuttering/lagging recently on PC. I thought it might be the killer but it’s been happening through multiple matches

Oh my god, the 4heads who dc on death hook are beyond me. Let’s deny the killer the kill points or hook points but sacrifice all my BP for it. Get a grip man

I'm sorry, but I thought the DC penalty was a bad idea, and still do. People will always be punished for something that has to do with the game, and not them. The thing is I never DC, but when my game messes up I get punished. That's not fair, and there will be no way BHVR will be able to tell a difference between an actual DC or a network disconnection. So if they do bring the DC penalty back. We will still be punished for something that wasn't really our fault.

To be fair, DC penalties were never to "help the community" anyway. My thesis on the has always been that the DC penalties are there as a way for BHVR to more or less hold players hostage as they continue to do stupid shit to their game, like release buggy patches, poorly designed killers (like the Twins, Trickster etc) and poorly thought out maps. It's their "gotcha". They went even further into that with the whole skill checks during second hook phase thing.
Why bother releasing GOOD updates, or FUN killers for both sides (before Nemesis, the last one was Blight), or fixing bugs when they can just force people to play by means of holding them hostage with penalties?
I'm gonna get shanked for this but I disagree because I can now DC in peace when survivors use a Haddonfield offering lol
I feel like if someone dc’s, it should count as a kill, and you should also get tokens for perks that revolve around hooking people

Bhvr really needs to stop with this bullshit just because you have no competition does not mean treat your community and players like shit.
I really hope they bring them back because if you dc you get no blood points but if you let go on hook you basically get to dc and get blood points it’s literally a win win and the killer gets all the hook stages too
I really felt that first Clíp, it’s amazing how nobody likes playing against the twins and honestly I don’t blame them for DC’ing XD.
