Dead By Daylight posted a developer update on their official forums today, detailing what to expect in the next chapter with patch 6.6.0. These include the Red Forest map rework for the Realm Beyond project, a nerf to Eruption, a buff to Any Means Necessary, improvement to bots in custom games, and more! On top of that they announced the PTB (public test build) is coming next week for the new chapter Tools of Torment! Let’s read all about it here together in the blog post.

  1. last video you said it cant be a licensed chapter because of the copyright but in other licensed teasers they dont put it . Im not trying to be rude but its kinda dumb thinking they would share the license holder or even francise in a teaser in the copyright. In the pinhead teaser for example they dont include the license holder companies dont need the copyright if they dont show anything technically licensed or they can ask the license holder for permission.

  2. I was glad they were nerfing eruption, but it actually doesn’t seem like much of a nerf. Distortion has become my favorite perk with all the killer perks and add-ons that show our auras. I’m glad they’re doing the map thing because it does suck to get the same ones over and over.
    I’d play as Haddie more if she got good cosmetics, but those don’t look too promising to me.

  3. Haddie is incredibly lucky to have the cosmetics that she does. Imagine how Freddy and Quentin feel xD I realize that they're licensed, but something would be nice, Freddy is the only killer with nothing, and Quentin just has 1 alternate outfit haha

  4. For me, I tend to play characters who have outfits I like or are themed to the current events. Haddie is one of my mains just because I like how she looks. I welcome any cosmetic to any character, but obviously, I do have preferences as I think we all do. Looking forward to the next chapter and what the Fog has in store for us

  5. Just had an update 2 weeks ago giving survivors info with activity icons. That was very helpful in balancing the swf and solo queue experiences. Did they really need to nerf eruption? 🙄 Are they gonna nerf DH, DS, or any of the other survivor second chance perks? Its already 1v4. 4perks v 16perks. What more is needed?

  6. I don't see how a character not getting a skin would stop you from using them if you like them. I like using Cheryl zarina and Mikaela and I use 1 outfit all the time for them because I like using the characters. I understand people like outfits for there characters but if I buy that 1 I stick with the 1 I think looks best and use that 1 til they get a better outfit. Just feels like people are finding things to complain about.

  7. I like that they are doing well IMO in the cheating situation, I've had significantly less and appreciate the updates. I like the upcoming changes but would like to see a little attention on the bloodweb to make it less tedious to level up. Nice video, Paulie, keep up the good work man 🙂

  8. I play with who has the build that in doing the best at. Whether or not I use one of their personal or 2. Some characters who aren't played as are A. Because they have bad perks or B. They are a mostly weak M1 killed.

  9. This is completely unrelated, but I was wonder if you know if editing the engine folder on PC to remove anti-aliasing is bannable? If the devs don't ban it themselves, do you think anti-cheat could detect it and auto-ban me?

  10. The funny thing on outfits: Kate has so many, yet only her default best shows her tattoos. Why haven't they made something that shows off all of them without cutting into it from the wrist or shoulder … Let alone her right thigh tattoo, or collarbone one.

    So many yet so little.

  11. Do you think that if the map repeat prevention thing proves successful that they might be able to drag and drop the framework to which killer you face in the future? Killers are locked in when they start searching for a lobby, so it wouldn't break it by switching etc.

    As I understand it, MMR is applied first as an ideal, but then the net widens for queue times. Could we see the same thing happen?

  12. I love that they seem to take the criticism concerning cosmetic distribution seriously. I do actually believe that a great big versatile cosmetic selection can make a character much more popular and appealing, at least that's the case for me, so seeing Haddie will receive her unreleased rare outfit and her Prime rare outfit in the store, plus another completely new one in the update after that feels pretty nice. Hope they also stop giving Feng Min an average of 1+ full cosmetics each update.

  13. Can't wait for toxic survivors to drop the shack pallet then spam the "Reset Pallet" interaction so the killer can't break the pallet and waste their precious time. Pretty good job so far, right BHVR?

  14. Any Means Necessary buff makes me wonder if you still get the 500 bp per pallet reset or if you'll only get it per pallet. Because I see someone getting into the game and just dropping and resetting the palets instead of progressing the game. Or is that already a thing and I just don't know about it?

    Regarding the cosmetics, I think the only thing most players care about is if the survivors have a darker outfit to make hiding easier. Or a flashier one to make killers chase you more. lol
