On their 6th Anniversary livestream, Dead By Daylight laid out their plans for the future on a number of topics such as grind reduction through a rework of the prestige system, overhaul plans to dozens of perks (even META perks), and matchmaking incentives.
Well today Dead By Daylight revealed the plans and upcoming changes for all that and more, including faster killers and slower generator progress! Let’s read through this very lengthy developer update together that they posted on the official forums. The META (Most Effective Tactics Available) is SHOOK for both survivor and killer!
All of these changes will be tested in the PTB (Public Test Build) next week and then implemented live in game a few weeks from now in the mid chapter patch.

my characters that are P3 and have all perks will be given extra prestige levels, not just people who didnt prestige at all right?

There are good changes and bad ones here to me but that’s nice to see there will be more changes in the future games

Enjoy the game Paulie. I won't be wasting my time with DBD anymore. Generator Speed, Perk Changes, the recent DLC (Dredge locker tping), Shattered Hope (Still no clue why behavior brought boons into the game in the first place), and of course all the perk nerfs! Behavior is ruining the game in my opinion so i am finished wasting money on new DLC's etc. I feel that Behavior is doing everything for killer mains and screwing over Survivor mains!

I know you kinda answered my question on the last video but I’m still confused so if we have teachables from characters we don’t own will we just not have them as teachable anysmore? I’m assuming we’ll keep them if you have them on a character already sorry..
I'm really hoping the next non meta perks that get changes for the survivor perks are all three of Ash's teachables because they all really need a buff
26:10 the question is if the killer AFK or doesn't let survivors in a dying state forever, there will be 1 generator stay blocking and can't be solved until survivors force to disconnect and ta-raaaa killer wins lol
Im still very curious. If they put the prestige 7,8,and 9 as perk charms. Does this mean they are putting a tomes and charms achievement. That's still a hefty grind for completions.
Hopefully we don't lose 65% of survivor mains because of these nerfs because than match making incentives will mean nothing if no one wants to play survivor anymore. If you think queue times are bad now wait until the survivor queues last 12 hours because there's not enough survivors to make up the difference 🤔
It's truly the biggest change in this game so far… I'm horrified and excited at the same time.
But, wait, what happen if you are using Hope and Adrenaline and another survivor unhook you after powering gates while he's using Guardian, No One Left Behind and, on top of that, you're both inside the area of Boon: Dark Theory? Do Haze bonuses stack? 50% Adrenaline + 7% unhook + 7% Guardian + 7% Hope + 7% NOLB + 2% Boon:DT??
Are we going to have bullet-speed escapes with insane Off The Record shield???

I’m curious when I log into PTB next week to see what prestige level my characters get automatically. They all have all perks learned at rank 3 but no prestige so I wonder if they’ll all just become P3? Then I’ll have 3 more prestige to go to earn bloody cosmetics

I've more or less been on a hiatus from DBD for 3+ months now and these changes are making me consider coming back! Kudos to the Devs for all of these perk and progression changes 👏

I love the change. I’ve never had a problem with perks the way they were. I just disliked rando’s sometimes but I always saw tunneling and camping as a method a killer can do. I see every match as a horror story. Kind of gives a personality imo. If you solo Q and have three survivors working with the killer, I always saw it kind of as a cult type thing and they lured you in. I saw camping as an attachment or tunneling as an obsession by the killer. I see every match as an actual tournament trial and every match having it’s own story. Great video though! Thank you!
RIP SELF CARE, also the devs should do something about deaf people who used spine chill to know when the killer was coming, something like the hearts on mobile so the game is more accessible. Pretty good changes so far, love your content Paulie

Lightweight looked like it was written in the wrong order. It looks like it'll make your marks fade 5 seconds sooner, up from 3.
Most of the changes im ok with but all these regression buffs and long gen repair time is just making matches even longer than they where before
