In this video I discuss my current concerns over The Knight and this Dead by Daylight chapter in general. Forged In Fog. I also point out the same mistakes BHVR seem to be making.

About Dead by Daylight
Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer (4vs1) horror game where one player takes on the role of the savage Killer, and the other four players play as Survivors, trying to escape the Killer and avoid being caught, tortured and killed.

  1. He takes to long with things and the guards take to long to activate survivors are already miles away by the time they even spawn in and THEN the detection range has to get bigger AND THEN it has to float where they first got spotted THEN chase them and off way to much info giving

Also survivors grabbing the banner is ridiculous they can just touch it and become invincible and get speed they at least should interact with it for half a second

  2. Yeah he’s not that good, I just brought him with shards for perks but that’s it. I’d rather play onryo then him tbh. The idea is cool but the execution is trash. I personally feel this may be one of the worse chapters of this game.

  3. Mr gimms if its not obvious now that the whole company and devs are survivor bias even true says it alot of people say it everything a killer does is way to slow and long alot of pallets huge maps tiles you can barely mindgame anymore there so much evidence that shows they dont care about half the community even with cotes comment a few years back should of told people they made this game for survivors to have fun killers are basically used as their toy nerfed all the viable perks on killer movements are slow as hell theres so many issues with the balance of the game i saw on the forums the survivors take 70 percent of the community and game so who do you think they will cater to most the people who spend money mainly the survivors and their useless non gameplay value skins and plus the percentage of us killer vs survivors so us killers only take 30 percent of the community which is a very low number sadly nothing will change the devs made it clear already but noone talks about it its okay though one day people will realize the devs dont give two shits about you especially if your a killer main theres plenty of evidence to prove this fact but some disagree it is what it is remember texas chainsaw will be coming out soon alot of us will be shifting to that game also i want to bring attention to mandy talks how rude she is in the forums even if its constructive criticism she is a very rude person she seems more friendly and comments more positive shit when its a survivor main comment iv seen that multiple times even recently so that there just shows they dont care plain and simple they know exactly what people are saying even what you are saying they dont care its a waste of energy this is why alot of us killers left and playing better more balanced games from companies who care about their community in its whole this company is the very first company that iv seen treat half their community like shit exept rockstar games but that another story

  4. That’s my problem with DBD as of late it’s not even the SBMM(I still don’t like it) But the last few chapters have been kinda bad. Well Except The Dredge they are a awesome killer. But Between Sadako still being not very good and now The Knight it’s like the devs care more about quantity then quality.

  5. The knight is the only killer that I have ever wanted a refund for I’m not going to look for a refund because I want to own all killers but a killer hasn’t been this underwhelming since twins and at least with twins there their power wasn’t bugged they were insanely strong

  6. I seen a video where somebody used Monsters shrine and devor hope, hooked the survivor stood by the hook used his power to send it off and held it there and it would Activate both parks (looked genuine)

  7. His power does definitely shine at camping. After the spirit nerfs though the community made it clear survivors need info for "counter play".
I don't see the devs giving us strong killers any time soon because of this requirement.

P.S. I've been using Potential Energy and brand new part to do about 50% of a gen in. Like 3 seconds.

  8. He's underrated for now, I won like 15 games in a row day 2 and he feels pretty strong, solid, his down time is weak but you can put scourge and dms and full slowdown to counteract that. Overall he gets the job done, also suggestion – always run map of the realm addon on him and never take it off trust. Add dried horse meat and you're good to go

  9. I played against Knights all day yesterday and I'm aware most people are bad day 1 as a new Killer but this was horrible. He's too easy to avoid, I saw his power and just ran away then went back when it was clear, no one died every single match and it was rare to get hooks; and the hooks he did get were all camps.

  10. Nice perks, shit killer.

    Changes:
when a guard detects a survivor instead of going straight where they spotted them they follow them directly while going through walls, they will go a bit slower to compensate, if they touch the survivor or are in hit range during this time they will get hit and the guard cooldown starts.
Assassin goes 115% and other guards go 108%.
Jailer new ability, when hitting a survivor they are hindered by 5% for 20 seconds, they get 1% speed bonus for every 4 seconds passed since they started the chase.
Big guy: when chasing a survivor if they drop a pallet they will break the chase and break it instead, if the survivor vault a window they will block it for 15 seconds and end the chase.
Assassin chase duration reduced by 25%, they will vault pallets also, not only windows. They go 115% when they spot a survivor.
When the guards damage a gen if there's a survivor working on it or is around the gen they give up the action to instead chase the survivor they spotted.
When a guard is within 16 meters of a hooked survivor the patrol duration goes 50% faster and if the patrol ends within that radius the recovery is 50% slower.

  11. Swfs are absolutely infuriating they piss me off to where I don't want to play anymore cuz it's not even fun then they start gloating how good they are after making the killer quit after pissing them off so much thinking they accomplished something when they accomplished absolutely nothing they just were a complete twats

  12. To be fair he is B+ tier. I am yet to lose a match with him to be honest. He is probably the best zoning killer in the game. You can lock survivor from both sides as this kiler and get an insta down. Also yeah, he is a good camper. So far I find him to be very fun but buggy and rough around the edges still.

  13. I sure do love how BHVR removed every cool tech and strong addon this Killer has and made camping and anti-loop the only things he can do. Yet Nurse is still allowed range addons and Blight is still allowed Alchemist's Ring.

  14. This chapter asthetically Is sooo good but then bhve goes and makes the new map into Gideon 2.0 and I've noticed older naps also got extra pallets and tiles it's almost like survivors didn't have enough resources so bhvr gave them more I wonder when the devs will realize that survivor doesn't need a buff anymore and I'm baffled…..how the fuuuuuuuuuck did they add 5 to 10 pallets to ANY map and think that's a good balance decision

  15. Little tips, you can stay near hook and run perks like hex devour hope and use your M2 to go far away and without deploying the guard you'll see that devour hope is actually gaining stacks while you being near hook, works with make your choice and monstruous shrine

  16. I’d be really interested to see your success with Hubris, enduring, spirit fury and light born. Don’t use your power for anything other than breaking gens from a distance and pallets mid chase.

I’ve had great success so far (I’ve gone up two whole tiers)

  17. I'm actually having a blast playing the knight. I use the guards in chase or prechase. My plan is to spot a survivor, immediately path a guard in a shape of a question mark around the survivor. This surrounds the survivor and my guard spots the survivor almost every time. It quickly becomes a 2 v 1 and I get hits and combo downs. I had 3 guards do locker grabs in one game! At one point, my guards were doing more damage than I was. btw, if the survivor is uninjured when the guard locker grabs them, they only lose 1 health state, but if they are injured, they go down in front of the locker. I watched Tru3 and he wasn't having success either but I've yet to see someone play the knight the way I do. I use guards early and often. My tactic is see a survivor, path a guard around and past the survivor. This puts the survivor between you and the guard. There's not much they can do without a pallet around. I can hold a 3 gen pretty well too. I'm reserving my judgement for now. I do, however, wish perks would work on your guards.

  18. I use his speed bug glitch stand at a pallet as yhe survivors is about to drop pallet of you hit your power button at the same time as they go to drop pallet and boom you are super fast been doin it all night it was fun lol you can stop the speed by hitting your power again

  19. Yeah, the size of the map is kind of an illusion until you realize there's a wall around the entire square. It's actually very interesting . You have to crouch a lot because the Killer gets a pretty good line of site from across the map.

  20. He’s very fun. His power is challenging, yes, but it can be VERY fun. It’s not for everyone, not every killer will be. I love him, but many don’t. Killers with the best lore are rarely ever liked by the community 😒

  21. I played him for two matches and I’ll never play him again. He needs a complete rework and buffs. He’s slow. He’s dumb. His lackeys are dumb. He is actively punished for using his power, so the best way to play him is to not use his power. By far the worst killer in the game to me.
