I'm going out on a limb here but I really think he's our new killer, if Haddie is our new survivor (which isn't guaranteed) I think it makes sense. We followed the Blight for a while before he changed through the lore and maybe this is a way to make us more familiar to killers before they arrive, mind you it's theory but it would be great foreshadowing. Going even further out on a limb he could be an original vampire, I'm really excited to see what they do

we could be getting one of the failed observers and maybe another one of him could still be around
wanna point out again that the observer also brought back the smaller towers that had the weird symbol on them in the one vampire cutscene and maybe that is how those weird creatures get to him
If the Observer was caught and didn't achieve his goal of escaping, then what chance does an ordinary survivor have? None. There is no escape from this universe
I don't think the killer will be the Observer but I do think they're on run from the entity now with new killers maybe on the hunt for him. That could be a cool way to tease new stuff
Nope definitely think the 6th anniversary is alien the 6 looks like a chest burster while the female who was talking in the files sounds like Allen ripley license killer and original survivor seems like the best option

Hey Paulie (and all)…Have you seen King's video from yesterday with the audio files? If you really want to go down the tinfoil rabbit hole, I'd like to point out one of the audio files where someone (i presume the observer) states "Year 7. Day 189." Rearrange those #'s by putting the 7 on the end of 189. 1897…that's the year the novel Dracula was published. And being public domain, doing a Dracula chapter would count as an original chapter (like Mas stated, which granted could very well be untrue)…
god the lore of DBD is so fucking cool, idky people sleep on it. its so fascinating.
as for the observer i think if anything he's becoming a survivor. i dont think he would become a killer. i think the killer will be tied to the entity either that vampire figure or sigh the spider figure… pls no jumping spiders kthx. spider humanoid would be cool… i keep mentioning kinda like Other Mother from Coraline, her final form she was part spider. that'd be pretty cool. (im saying this to put it into the universe that i would contemplate uninstalling if an actual spider was a killer >_< pls no bhvr…pls..)
I've said this theory on a couple other posts on the topic, but I personally think that the Observer became a Killer through the Entity making him…a Lycanthrope.
My reasoning for this is because the floor of the Study in the PTB has scratches on the floor and frantic footprints, like something monstrous got in….or just appeared. Plus, the light leaking through the ceiling and hitting the chair is similar to moonlight. The Entity could have found a way to maybe use his knack to watch other dimensions against him, maybe putting him in a position where he could get cursed. Plus, as noted in the video, the Observer has been looking rather….feral.
It's just a silly theory, but it would be neat if it was true

I think it's worth noting that the 6 looks very different from the 4 and 5. The 4 and 5 were both very stream lined and clean, straight edged. The 6 looks much more uneven and organic. Just figured it was worth noting.
Spider moment.
Thing with the observer being a survivor is that he literally looks exactly like Jeff. Theres no way he'll be a survivor when he doesn't look unique at all. If he's a killer to me its just kinda too similar to Blight, both options aren't really hype to me at all, especially for the anniversary

The scratches on the floor are so strange, there's a lot of them and they overlap in different directions not like someone was dragged away.
For the past 2 years the update for DBD's anniversary has constantly been big name licensed chapters. I feel that replacing it with an original chapter is kinda boring af.

Hey Paulie, look at the symbols on the 6 or hooked shaped object, then go and watch the tome ten video and look and the symbols on the entity's claws that are coming out of Billy the puppets back… my guess and theory is that the killer is going to be a spider

I would like to point out something from the first rift. When the observer first found the towel and he walks in he discovered a corpse of an older version of himself, now you might say "no that can't be true." Just rewatch it, you'll realize the corpse looks just like he does in the saw tome. Also I think the six banner looks like one of the spider's leg that was crushed under a tree. Now there's also another thing I have discovered in tome with scene with Dracula you were able to see a symbol that looks like an anniversary crown but with bat like wings and the number six in the middle.

What if the blue cracks in the skull means that it hasn't been the entity who has somehow gained control over the observer, but the observer reaching to the entity and hurting it? Maybe the Observer, after talking with the puppet has realize that being the Observer is not enough, that he really has been imprisoned into his own mind, and without the eye, now he can be free of his own fear, and face the Entity, making his reality crumble inside out?

You know I’ve wondered about something even if you escape from the entities realm, couldn’t the entity retake you back to its world ?
I have a theory.. what if your playing as a survivor and you have to rescue him inside the game to bring him back depending on which killer has him hostage. I know dbd hasn't done anything like this in the past but would be nice to change things up

@Paulie Esther,you are right. I like your version. In general, I will also tell you my opinion and theory. The observer will most likely be the killer, I'm 100% sure of that. Because if you look carefully at the videos from the archive, and especially the one when he saw a vampire at the entrance to the castle and there was a crown icon, or rather the number 6 or more, this icon looks like the eye of an observer (its sphere) and so that vampire was the observer . He saw his fate to become a murderer and gasped, and the castle is the new map (since parts of the castle were added to the observer's tower). Why I think so, it’s very simple in the videos you can see how the observer likes to drink something from a glass and that vampire who is identically similar to him and drinks blood from a glass means that the observer saw his future and tried to protect his fate, but alas, it didn’t work out. He was cursed, or rather poisoned and enslaved by the essence, as it was with his predecessor, only the predecessor did not disappear anywhere because it was a bait. Our watch eats in every possible way to fight off the spiders and monsters that have entered his world, but alas, he failed. I can also add that most likely our observer got into this world with the help of the essence and she wanted him to become stronger in order to enslave and subjugate him. I will say that I'm not sure that it will be released on the anniversary, maybe it will be released on the 25th part as the anniversary of the series, or maybe on the anniversary. And Haddie could be a survivor or a new observer, or maybe both.

at first, when i saw that one of the free bp code was "RIVALSJP" and i immediately thought that ..oh this might be anew clue to the 6th anniversary .. and the new killer might be SJP = Sarah Jessica Parker as a new killer from Sex and the City chapter HAHAHAHAHA .. and Samantha Jones as new survivor 🤣
