Dead By Daylight is the worst video game I have ever played. I regret spending all the time and money I have on it, and I explain why in this video. If you don’t want to watch a 30 minute video and want the sparknotes, here they are
The game is full of annoying “unquality” of life features.
The game is a horrible pay to win grind with overpriced cosmetics.
Survivor gameplay is half doing nothing, holding W. I think survivor is boring and lame.
Killer is held back by the horrible balance of the game.
Addons are a horrible system that doesn’t work, they are horrible balanced and the rarities are meaningless.
People only play this game because of the characters, not because of the gameplay.
The game is super buggy.
The community is super entitled and toxic.
The developers are SO incompetent at anything, they have no concept of balance, it takes them years to add anything, every update is full of bugs, they only make bad decisions.
This game is a massive waste of time, is horrible to new players, and is just not fun because everyone takes it too seriously.

Ever time I see this game on game pass, I get flashbacks of how toxic the community is. Then I snap back to reality and keep going 😂
"Git Gud" (teasing. but honestly tho, just sounds like it's just not a game for you. no reason to shit on it just cause you don't wanna play it. I've had the game for years and still don't have much unlocked cause I don't play often enough to grind it all out. That said, I can still enjoy the game. the "grind" IS the game really. it's little progress at a time as you move on. everyone surviving or killing everyone every time, actually doesn't reward as much as playing the chase and being an actual "movie killer" But, that's just my take as a killer main. I'd recommend maybe just finding a game that vibes more with you. )
I feel like this game will and should never be balanced. That's what makes it fun. When its. Broken. Then they fix it. Then we break it again. They fix it. It would get boring so fast if everyone had all the best perks and left the bad ones alone.
Just watch a good survivor player and you will see how much skill goes into it and how many cool things you can do ^^

I love the game because i like how intense it can be. Sure i heard the flaws but i brought it anyway and i still thought it was worth my money. I just feel like this vid is kinda…bias. i just feel like there was a different way to approach this better

You don’t need to do all the graphics stuff everytime you load, just play on console or not be a little baby crying about your little settings.
Fun fact, you DONT NEED ANY PERKS in the whole game to play or WIN! I prove it everyday on my stream winning on both sides, and solo survivor! No perks! No add ons! Nothing! It’s all just for fun! And bonus. So saying new players suffer without perks is also, FALSE!!!
I also love the poor gamers approach to skins and DLC costing money. And then telling the players who don’t mind paying and supporting to games they love playing, to just stop doing that. What?! If YOU don’t like it, then how about YOU don’t pay for anything and watch the rest of us looking awesome. 😂

How the hell do I turn off vsync on ps5 it doesn’t give me that option in the settings on dbd??
funny is they could do firstperson mode too since all it takes is in dev console type firstperson or for fov do fov 110 its just example game is using unreal engine SO LMAO ITS SO EASY every unreal engine game has firstperson and fov commands but nah they dont wanna do that too bad im glad i stopped playing this game i played one match i was winning and then cheaters just revived everyone opened gates yep
the point that he is saying about devs is completely right. basic functions are locked behind ''months of work'' or ''not priotized''. Even modders on many games can easily fix many things with only maybe minutes or hours of work (they dont know anything about how game coded). gta online time fixed, ''months of work'' for riot about maps are being passed over by 3 man doing maps in short times etc… they really dont want to spend time or smth i dont know and cant understand. if dbd is gonna die it will be caused by devs' laziness. Big note: they have to fix their spagetti code by remaking game (just codes) or passing to UE5. like other games did.

For the people saying that this video is "too opinionated", yeah, duh, of course it is, the video is about how I don't like this game, which is an opinion, and I give a combination of both facts AND opinions about this game. Why are you watching a video about an opinion if you don't want to see other's opinions? Most video essays (and normal essays) are opinionated, if you have no opinion and nothing to say then why make it in the first place?
I don’t understand the devs sometimes. They said in the new prestige update they were gonna make the grind a lot easier but they actually just made it more Grindy by having you prestige a character in order to get their perks on other characters. They also removed the extra bloodpoint bonus from prove thyself and reworked we’re gonna live forever. 🤦♀️🤦♂️
I love the game you don’t have to like it… but why tf do you want a game to die and a dev team to go bankrupt cause you don’t like a game? That’s just a bad thing to say, you basically want bhvr employees to loose their income cause you don’t agree with their balance
Every game has toxicity I don’t understand how people being mean after they lose is a downside.
