Last night I had a teammate with 3 hours on the game. I have over 3000 hours. How does that happen? My mmr must be real bad if I'm getting paired with brand new players
You know that means it's gonna be even worse.
I get that it's impossible to please everyone while also have perfect balance in any online multiplayer game. I'm a casual player, and as such I have the most fun against casual killers. Now you have your random luck/unlucky inserted into all of this too, but I can go 4-6 games not escaping and be fine with it, but then I'd like to get out the exit too. I'd rather get a mix of waiting abit longer for just a bit more evenly matched games, if possible. Will be exciting to see how this test goes
Lol “we aren’t saying what’s changing,” from BHVR generally doesn’t illicit a lot of confidence. Who knows if they’re really changing anything?
It already sucks

I'm relatively new (about 2 months), I find the matching making shocking, I'm in the UK, so play around 6pm, I just seem to wait forever, and if I'm with someone else, it's even worse, upto 10 mins plus
This is great and all – but them changing the matchmaking parameters based on rating isn't the problem with MMR. The problem is that it literally only takes into consideration Kills and escapes. And the actual queue times is only a concern for survivors. Because the amount of killer players has dropped since the boon meta. Killer mains have gone to play survivor more too whereas before they barely touched survivor.
BHVR actually thinking the queue times and how close MMR each player has to each other is the problem is hilariously out of touch. No. The problem is that the MMR system as a whole is too simple and has next to no context of skill.
Waiting for vhs but until then i guess i could maybe play dbd or propnight

If you dont care about the quality of your opponent you probably don't play killer at high mmr…
How my games usually go: do 1 or more gens gets chased, somerimes caught and if caught often left on hook to die. If not caught i try to to do more gens and help teammates injured by taking hits. IF i get to endgame (not often) i get hit by noed / tunneled / sandbagged.
All in all a not fun esxperience.
Last 3 weeks of dbd (48 mins) = no will to play.

I feel like feedback from this community isn't something they should put stock into… Dead by Daylight players tend to over-hyperbolize things and then insist they're being 100% accurate.
I get a lot of 4ks and I have not noticed any change in the consistency of my opponents. I get teams of absolutely random skill levels.
NOW GRANTED I play with cross play on! And I play nearly every killer! But like some times I'll have to fight for every hook against a bully squad for a 2-3k then the next game I 4k at 5 gens…. With Legion.
Bhvr: we noticed you are all having some frustrations with matchmaking so to fix this we have removed the ability for killers to hook survivors and for good measures we also removed generators
Good their finally fixing the match making I almost always end up going against sweaty try hard killers but also get really crappy survivor teammates hopefully this fixes that..

I can't remember having matchmaking issues in the last months. Playing survivor during the day and killer in the evening always gives me lobbies within seconds. If I switch the roles I might have to wait a minute tops. It's used to be much, MUCH, worse. So I'm rather satisfied with how it is now. Hope they won't screw it up.

Today feels good for match making for skill
There is no happy to be had with matchmaking anymore due to the criteria of SBMM. If I am a high tier killer, I get mostly blendettes or insane swfs or cheaters/hackers. If I'm a high tier survivor, I get bad teammates like blendettes who hide all game and run self care, spine chill, and urban evasion. Otherwise, my teammates are absolute babies with literally 1 perk and brand new to the game. I honestly miss the old match making system. Rank wasn't ideal, but it definitely felt more balanced and fun that way.

Honestly hoping they come to their senses and scrap the whole thing. The old emblem system worked far better. We all know the devs are far too narcissistic to ever admit their mistakes though.
