Today Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) put out a tweet alluding there will be a crossover with Dead By Daylight sometime during the spooky month of October. Dead By Daylight followed suit with a retweet affirming this exciting collab is coming.

So let’s look back at the For Honor collab from last October to try to figure out how close this PUBG X DBD collaboration might be. What will be in it? PUBG cosmetics in DBD? Just a PUBG charm like we got from For Honor last year? More?

I found a post from someone who claimed to have the details of a Dead By Daylight mini game coming inside of PUBG called “Trial of Akinta” which will allow players to earn some type of rewards in game during the event. It’s very vague and generic but it sounds like there may be a Dead By Daylight themed event in PUBG the same way there was a DBD themed event in For Honor last year. Stay tuned!

  5. I don't mind if other games have DBD content. The problem is this probably means a PUBG "inspired" chapter next year, same as For Honor. Even cosmetics would be too much. THESE ARE NOT HORROR IPS. Do we really want DBD to turn into Fortnite? What's next, Call of Duty and Marvel? Non-horror IPs might be neat and fun at first, if you're a fan of the IP, but it will dilute and eventually kill DBD. > : (

  8. Hey Paulie, as per usual, thanks for keeping everyone informed and up to date as much as possible. 😀 I kind of thought that the there'd be a new game mode entirely in PUBG for this but, I guess a pre-match thing also works.

    I do gotta be honest though, this news is some of the most… meh, news I've seen about DBD lately. I am happy for those people who are interested in this though, but, for me, just not into it but, oh boy, some people seem to absolutely loathe the entire idea of this crossover and, without spoilers though I'm sure you've seen them and know about it, the possible next chapter. D:

  16. What if there was some interaction in DbD that like actively sent monsters to or summoned killers into active matches of Pbug? Or like you could from launching DbD load into a Pbug game as an unstoppable killer!

  19. They missed the chance to actually pull in the dbd fanbase. I was hoping for something similar to Hunt Showdown. Black fog appearing in certain areas of the map. You could enter these areas with a group where a PvE game mode takes place. Complete gens while only your weapons slow down killers. After finishing a certain number of gens the entity would appear to pull the killer back into its realm.

  25. Idk why they're even bothering with this collab. PUBG is all but dead these days. It hasn't been relevant in years and the last time I spoke to someone who played it they said the lobbies are mostly bots now. Not to mention they still haven't fixed the bugs that have been there since launch. Seems pretty stupid of them to collab with a game that, for all intents and purposes, is dead and gone

  32. Guys let's not get our hopes up. Last time we only got a ridiculous charm, I wouldn't be sorprised if the same happens this time. I really hope I'm wrong and we get a few skins, only time will tell.
