On their 6th Anniversary livestream, Dead By Daylight laid out their plans for the future on how to reduce the grind of progressing in game with a an overhaul of the prestige system as well!
Today with the Public Test Build for the mid chapter we got to see exactly how this new system will work, what the requirements are to get levels of prestige with the “prestige catch up mechanics”, and what the unique reward will be for those who reach Prestige III (level 1 or higher) before this mid chapter patch goes live. Let’s have a look.
IMPORTANT! Remember, this system isn’t live yet so if you prestige now you will lose your inventory!

Its free stuff, yes. but it's a little underwhelming i think fireflys should be changed to something more fitting like being in fog or having the entity over the character.
I have a lot of my characters at level 50 (no prestige) does that mean that I’ll lose all of my teachable perks on my survivors until I p3?
I stopped grinding once I saw what we get for dedication. its super lazy. that's the best they could come up with? you know they could have given us some glowy bits on clothes for newer unique rewards
The thing I haven't heard anyone talk about is that this new system has changed the bp grid from an exponential model to a linear one. With the old system every time a new killer/survivor came out it increased the total bp needed to unlock all perks on all killers/survivors (it was a little over 25 million bp with the Onryu and 28 million with Yoichi and it would have been getting close to 26 million with Dredge and 29 million with Haddie Kaur and it would have just kept going up with every page and chapter). Now, it's a little over a million per side every time no mater how many come into the game because you only have to get 3 tiers on the survivor/killers personal perks plus all the universal perks on the new character. There will be an exponential bump to that every time a new general perk comes out but since the last time they added a general perk was version 1.1.0 with Kindred on survivor side and Hex: Thrill of the Hunt in 1.3.1 for killers (until Shattered Hope last patch) I don't think that's going to become a big issue.
I've never been so happy I have to redo all my excel spreedsheets!
Also, question, since you have Steve and Nancy P3, did Haddie get their perks or are they still considered "General" perks?
So theoretically you could trick survivors into thinking you have certain perks by having random perk charms on the hook different from your actual loadout
At least we still get bloody costumes
They should add charm hooks to survivor's nips.
It doesn't matter what Prestige level any character is. In your example, Meg is Prestige 1. She may be a focused survivor with all Tier 3 perks. She might not be a focused survivor with all Tier 3 perks. Your Haddie has all other survivors' Tier 3 perks which makes your survivor no different from Meg.
Man this makes me sad, as someone who started on switch and has lots and lots of hours on switch dbd I can't move these rewards to xbox. I moved to xbox and had to restart all over again, and it's just sad that I can't move all my progress and rewards over to xbox. They need to add cross progression already, this is the 3rd time I have to rebuy and grind the game out 😐😕
Hope we get rewarded if all our t3 perks become t1 for people that didn’t prestige

So dumb the increase in shard cost. Shards are already a pain to get, so they eliminated the grind? Better to go bloodweb hunting. I won't buy from the shrine anymore.

We Should get a Legacy outfits for the Survivors who have not had them like Zarina ect. But the characters who had legacy already get a New one Also i feel like if they didn't wanna go this route then every 5 Characters Prestige 3 lvl 50 you get 1 choice of legacy outfit on any Character in game & on a Cosmetic of your Choice like Outfit but can be a mix & match & it's based upon Cosmetics you own & it's a 1 time Customization..you choose what head Outfit you choose the Shirt,leggings ect. & you get a Special Charm Like for Zarina a Very Cool Figurine unlike no other that Lights up or some sort of glow 💯🔥🔥❤️
